Slowhand...
Your response to others is why I decided not to say what I originally had planned to. Years back I had been ask out by a man whose wife was terminally ill-I turned him down.
I got to thinking I don't know what I'd do...more than likely I wouldn't as I didn't step out on a habitual womanizer...it was the for better or worse that got me. I decided I got the worse instead of the better and had to live with it. I am no stranger to lonliness for sure. No one can answer this question for you ...you know what your heart can live with. I don't believe in stepping out on ones mate but my heart does go out to you. It is very difficult to take care of someone and feel as if you have no life of your own even though you may love that person with all your being...been there too. I wish you well and hope you make the best decision for you.

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!
I took care of the love of my life until his dying breath. He died of cancer. The last couple months I took off from work to be with him 24/7. It meant the world to him. Wouldn't you want the same from your mate?

i think if someone was dying i think that you should stick by them till the end because how would you feel if you was dying and the person you loved suddenly left you because you were ill. if you left someone because of that what kinda person does that make you out to be?
to me someone that left another person because they were dying makes you look like a heartless bastard. i know id want someone to love me till the end.

I so know how you are feeling...My husband is not terminal, but is mentally ill...He is not available emotionally or sexually for me any longer and I have thought about finding someone else, but the guilt consumes me and I think for better or worse. No one has the right to judge you, but please think about your wife...If she is dying, then you will have time after that point to find someone to love. Use this chat room for support..but please don't date....
