Tinkernel has a good point I think. If you can find the right kind of friends it's definanly a relaxing appraoch to gettin yer jollies. The main pit fall there is, however, that one person is always more interested than the other and sex tends to amplify those feelings. I've seen some train wrecks on that rail before for sure.

I'm not sure you all understand what friends with benefits means..
It applys to the man who brings benefits....the cash, men, the cash, the rent, the bauble, the food the clothes, the car. What do you get? Sex..and
she better be a real good looking pounder or no dice.
Its sort of like marriage but theyh live in their own apartment usually, they have other friends also to defray expenses.
If they live in with you, you pay it all dude, the braces, dancing lessons, obgyn/visits,
and all the other stufrf including not tonight I have a headache.

I'm formerly with the US Public health service. I know every depraved and vile thought hidden in the minds of people who come across as being all lily white. Everyone is the same, looking to get sex and if they are not they are pretty much out of it. I have seen too many cases of father giving daughter a disease, sometimes they are so young it makers you weep and wonder why any woman would want anything to do with men, but of course most men arent like that and most women dont go around giving diseases to others, however,

Im with ya all the way on the condom thing, Bigwit. Best advice in the world. But im not sure you can classify "friends with benefits" as a man indirectly paying for sex via bills, services, resturants..ect..ect. I've had a few "friends with benefits" where all we shared were eachother's company, bodies and time. But, perhaps I just mis uderstood the question and if that's the case then I retract my above posts and graciously slink away to the nearest dark corner.

You may think it will work but trust me you lose the friend...been there done that. So I won't be doing that again because of losing a very good friend. They get jealous if you talk to someone else or go out on a date. So for now I keep my male friends just friends. I don't want a control freak paying my bills..lol. Thats what marriage becomes...

OMG lmao, bang a dude's kid, lol...wtf, people should think before they write.
They do exist. I meet them on Yahoo dating and on myspace, they're called 'myspace wh*res.' Because I travel and I'm 'in town for awhile', that's the magic word.
They don't last long, though, because either they go back to the old BF or move on to the normal guy with a 9-5 and kids, etc. Some are bi which is fun with their friends. They really can't take the rock 'n' roll life very long, or all nighters, too much action for the delicate flowers. : ( Sometimes you meet their girl friends or co-workers, so there's some real attraction for them in banging their guy friend.
So it's short lived but great fun. Because the best lays are confused and psycho, we all know. Get your johnson, but not your hopes up.

I have had friends with bennifits and it is kinda comforting to know the person you are sleeping with when you dont have a serious relationship going on it sure beats one night stands when the woman you are sleeping with is like pop secrect pop corn you know the only question is what will pop up next!!!!!!!!!!!

Three years ago I left a relationship with a great guy that I thought would last the rest of my life. Although we "loved" one another marriage wasn't a part of his life plan! Following the break up we continued a on and off "friendship" including sex. In our years together we had "perfected" our skills. Finally, about two years ago I realized I deserved more and I wasn't moving on with my life through this. I broke it off again. No contact!
Long story short...I my sexual needs got the best of me. I sent him a "just sex" E-mail.
Following we began our "friends with benefits" relationship. I no longer require his love. Just his love making. I now enjoy living on my own and I lam following my own dreams. Our sex is refreshing as well as gratifying and it feels great to now be able to tell him to "go home" when he gets on my nerves.

I still think that "Friends With Benefits" has a deeper side that has not been touched yet. We all have a private "Gee, I'd like to try that" side but don't because of a variety of reasons. We all have an opposite side of the coin that few people (if any) ever get to see. Friends with benefits allows you to not only show that side but to explore the nooks and crevices as well. Who can say they have no "Fantasy"? If what you do makes you feel good and no one gets hurt, go for it. We go thru this world but once and during that journey should be able to follow as many paths as we like. Just be realy to pay the toll at the end of the road. So, is the concept wrong? Have a better question. Who should the Judge be? Damn, who put all those ideas in my head and how come I suddenly feel hungry? What are the munchies?

If you think about it,the ideal relationships should start this way. First you are friends then when the trust and comfort are at the correct levels then you move to the great sex and then take the plunge if its rite. I feel that this is where the majority of the relationships screw up, most of the relationships out there should have just stayed at the friends with benefits stage. How many of you have had this happen or know of it happening. You meet someone and the seX is AWESOME, you got married and the sex SUCKED, you got divorced and the sex was AWESOME!!!!!.....LOL!
Just my opinion, what the hell do I know?
