It was my father who got me into it. He always had a small garden about 30 x 30. I use to hate having to turn it with a spade. (( Make sure you go deep as the spade boy)). But as I got my own places it just came natural. I was staying and helping with bills with my dad when he passed away and I still planted his garden. Tears and all I knew he was watching from above. I left for Iraq before it was time to harvest but the neighbors kept it up and there was a really bumper crop that yr so I was told. Must of been all the salt from my tears. = Please share your stories with us = John

Gardening has always been a part of my life. Growing up as a kid my mom and dad had a big garden. We all did our part in keeping it clean. The harvest. The canning. All the vegtables we ate came from our garden. Even after my mom's passing in 1994 my dad still grew a large garden. Dad passed away this last Sunday July 3rd and we laid him to rest on Wednesday. So it will be the next generation to carry on the gardening tradition.

My Grandpa and Grandma got me into gardening around the age of 3 and I still love it. I passed it on to my neice's and nephew's and hope that they'll do the same with they're children.
