Hey styx, Being alone is not what it is crakcked to be.
I often wonder now........ alone forever And Y ???
Am I too picky now ... well i guess soo.

from time to time I have felt this way...more recently than ever before.
I have been divorced for 13 years but chose not to date while my sons were living at home with me....
I also wrestle with - did I meet my "right One" and already mess it up so I will be alone...?
I don't believe there is only one man for each woman - at all...
But I do think there's a huge difference between being alone
and being lonely.
I sit in a room filled with family, friends etc., and I constantly watch the door waiting for him to walk in...
At times - I turn to tell "him" something and then I am surprised he isn't beside me
all the while knowing I havent' met him yet...
still - very tired of waiting
and very tired of feeling lonely when I am not alone
again though hard to find truly wonderful men in Iowa.
They're here....just children of the corn?

you should go out there and get him gonesailing, he's out there somewhere!!! Maybe he's standing at intersection with a sign say "I am hungry and homeless, or maybe he is in a line waiting to get some soup, but he is out there, waiting for you!!! and when you find him, give a big hug, he deserves it!!!!

actually Mark - I did that oone day....there was a homelss man living under the overpass on the freeway I traveled during my commute, so I threw an blanket into my car one frigid morning, bought an extra coffee and manuevered across four lanes of morning traffic to deliver the goods to him...
Everyone in my office had a freaking cow...
but I'm a giver.

It's never too late, and for all of you who are sitting at home, try something new. GO somewhere new! I actually was a "wing-woman" for a friend tonight at a 'speed-dating' event! what a hoot! met some nice people and had alot of fun...i don't think I met 'the one' but i met some people that would be alot of fun to hang out with.
Keep your options open people - cause when we stay behind close doors we're never going to meet anyone!
One other thought, every time I read these posts I think, you are all wonderful, beautiful people...maybe some of you should move closer to each other...there's potential out there!!! I can see how some of you talk to each other...there should be more matches on DH...don't let the distance stop you!

 what an awesome thought, up there green eyes. you do really get to know what is in people's hearts by some of these discussions. maybe we should all meet up down here for the ky. derby--i live only 4 blocks from churchill downs, and i have a large, if somewhat run down ol apt. it's a nice place though--what do you all think? up for a bunch of drunking idiocy that is known as the ky derby???
