i have been single for some time now, and normally it didnt bother me but i'm getting older and i dont want to be alone anymore, however my job makes it very hard to meet people on a personal basis. i have never really dated and i dont know how to date or even where to meet single guys.

You are way to attractive to be alone. With a profile like your's, you will be just fine.
I know from experience for the past 6 years, being alone is a terrible sound. I will put you in my prayers and at my bible studies.

That's a really good question and I've been asking myself the same thing for a little while now. It's really weird to think that now that I've got my life together, my head is on straight and I know what I want, there doesn't seem to be anybody around to share time with.
It's almost like I'm feeling a little guilty for being happy on my own. I certainly don't want to meet anyone who'll mess this up. But then again, we're social creatures after all. Maybe it happens when we stop needing so much and accept things as they come.
41 is young and in my humble opinion, the guy you were talking to didn't exactly treat you with respect by taking down his profile and slipping out of your life without so much as a by your leave. He could have at least sent you an email letting you down gently. No wonder you were hurt, I would have been too! I know that you're probably not ready to hear this, but I honestly think that you're better off without him. At least now you can concentrate on meeting someone new and stop wasting time on Mr.
Wrong.

I will never remarry, but "too late" for me is the day the rabbi says the Prayer for Mourners over my open grave

sometimes it feels like that, but i'm an optomist. i spent 20 years hangin' out with family and friends and 'not looking.' recently, i thought wtf, so i joined in and have found it's fun, and have met some nice guys. not mr. right exactly, but it's better than having no contact w/people at all. who knows even and old lady like me can find someone right 4 me.
i've had some GOOD relationships, and some not so good relationships. lived thru them all, older, not necessarily wiser, but still going strong. hell you only go around once, so take all the good stuff u can get and hope it lasts. if it doesn't, start again. but DON'T GIVE UP on yourself. gin

If I allow myself to be defeated by my own self doubt I will never realize the JOY that God wants for me . . . and even worse . . . the love I have to give to that 1 will never be showered upon her. What kind of gentleman would I be if I didn't share my God-given love with a wonderful woman? It may take me another ten years to find her, but even if we only have ten days together . . . I would make God proud.
Real love . . . Hope!!!!!!!!!
