My personal favorite is air force because i joined after i graduated high school. Did my term and pursued other things in life, but i always admired the marines because thats what my father was. They do a large majority of the tougher missions and get the least recognition, but they have my respect.

Where does the electricity come from to recharge your precious electric cars? The same coal burning power stations that you liberals hate! Of course nuclear power plants are much cleaner, but rational thinkers know that crooked politicians and construction companies are responsible for the shoddily built and poorly supervised plants that are far more dangerous than they would be if corners weren't being cut to pad the wallets of politicians and contractors!
So instead of wasting your army of 'useful idiots' on pointless occupation of parks and marches that inconvenience the general public, why don't you mobilize them to rally and lobby for properly built and run nuclear power plants?

Good thoughts overall, but I will question one thing and that's "Marines get the least recognition." Really? When Hollywood makes a military movie, it's about Marines (or Navy SEALS). Same goes for the news media when covering war stories. I agree they deserve it because they are given dangerous missions, but I think it's ironic that an Air Force person would say Marines get shorted on recognition.

If one were to speak only to recognition -- the United States Coast Guard -- would be the military service branch which receives the least "public" recognition for the services they provide to America and her citizens. It takes more than brawn to be a "Coastie"!

Ever wonder why I know so much about military insignia and regulations? Because I spent my whole military time at a desk in New Jersey processing REAL SOLDERS! Would any REAL SOLDIER who had REALLY BEEN IN THE BUSH in Viet Nam know so much about such minute details and regulations? OF COURSE NOT!
So I apologize for having displayed a Combat Medic Badge that I had NEVER EARNED and will display my only military honor, the CHAIRBOURNE REMF BADGE and from now on I am whiskeyREMF!

All the branches have changed a lot...women are nearly 17% of the total combined uniformed force....I remember when female Marines were known as BAMS (broad a** Marines)...welcome sister!
