This is an old thread, but I will add my 2 cents for what it's worth.
Police have a reputation. Their job requires that they be violent and that will often translate to violence in other parts of your life. Other problems include family members that could be affected, the stuff going on in the news and all sorts of other things.
Police officers no longer have the respect of the public at large. No respect means no dates.

There are some good people in law enforcement. I've worked with some, and they were some of the best co-workers I ever had. But some of the others are insane & dangerous, trying to provoke citizens & start fights. Those nuts are, IMO, insane and a danger to their communities. I will add that I have never seen female LE officers act that way. My guess is that you are one more hot-head, and ladies smell it on you just like I do - starting with your assumption that your personal problems are other people's fault. If you try to tell me you don't know what I'm talking about with bad attitudes of some officers, I'll know it for sure. I've seen both sides of law enforcement for myself. White America used to think law enforcement officers were great, but then video evidence came onto the scene. I know for a fact that there are rotten apples in my field, but you act like you don't have a clue that some of your own kind tainted your image.

Evry time i am asked what i do and tell rhem even if we meet in a public place theyusually never respond back or i have had them get up from the table i need info from any other LEO's
don't tell them that you are the "POLICE" first thing,,,,tell them you work with the public on different topics in the community and help people try and resolve issues that they might have in there neighborhood working on making the city you live in a better place for families to raise children and take pride in where they live. Later on then if things start getting serious then tell,

You know people just don't like the police sorry just the way it is  become a firefighter woman love them   says you are "to serve and protect" you guys only serve warrants and for real who do you guys protect????? From what???? You guys sure you the hell don't stop and ask or make sure you or everything is OK when broke down and sure the hell don't over a ride or if you can even help in anyway THAT MY SIR IS "SERVE AND PROTECT" idk what you guys call to serve and protect means BUT NONE OF YOU DO IT ijs

my entire life I have met only one true professional cop. this one has real honor and integrity. All other pigs lie and will do whatever it takes to get you in front of a judge. Their paychecks depend on busts-remember that!
Stay away from cops and you won't go to jail.
Our best defense against sorry cops is to vote out the sorry judges that allow them to pull the crap they pull.
Now you say I may have warrant or whatever. I hold 3 HONORABLE Discharges from US Army
Army don't hire crooks...I am clean, I am just saying cops are generally too lazy to get real jobs or education.

If you guys would fire all State, City and County employees every 6 years, no blame no problems. Then re-hire them in another jurisdiction like they do with the US Military then you won't have to fire your Police Chief for a corrupt government. Deputy Eric Guilhaus gets a slap on the back and an ATTABOY from the D.A. for putting 8 bullets into a 13 year old child. Fire people like him every 6 years he be a better cop ... or no one would want him at least in California. We have the best Judges, Dog Catchers, Nurses, Cops etc etc in the US Military .. cause they re-hire the best every 6 years. The others not so good ... have to go. Their 30 year retirement comes from Sacramento as they change jurisdiction every 6 years and .... besides there is no problem getting 30 year retirement from the military - right ??
