My cat walked on my keyboard and some of my keys aren't working even after a system restore and unplugging and replugging my computer. I'm copying and pasting letters. But it's a pain.
Missing keys are:

k
, (comma)

Have you tried to make sure that they are actually connected to the buttons below? The part you see is just a snap on "cap" that can come off. The cat may have knocked them off the actual button below. Just push on them, pretty hard, and see if they snap back into place.
You can pick up a standard USB keyboard pretty cheaply, too, if you need to.

OP, if you find the missing letters/keys you'll find that they'll click back into place if you push them (hard) back into their spot. I had a key that fell off and I taped it on, that didn't work so I took it to a PC expert and he did just what I said, above. Hopefully, you'll find where your cat put the missing keys.

Maybe have your mouse chase your cat.. instead of the other way around...I'd get a new keyboard..cat proof...

I got a fold up one for $5 off of ebay. The keys are in place so thinking maybe it's a software glitch.
Thanks for your advice sorpstar.

I don't think that it's a software glitch -
Definitely sounds like a hardware issue.
If you are using a standard desktop pc the keyboard has bad contacts on the circuit board under the keys.
You can find a cheap keyboard almost anywhere.
If you're on a laptop it's the same issue the circuit board is sticking
That- unless you know how to fix you'll need a pro.
