Well I do much reading into relationships, as I have had bad experiences in my life.
Keeping a guys interest is fairly simple.
Men are from Mars and women from Venus is one of my favorite books....
While I wont go into details just remember to be sincere truthful and ALWAYS appear to be genuinely interested in the guy. A guy gets an adrenalin rush from being appreciated in various forms. They could be allowing him to buy dinner, to allow him to be a gentleman by opening doors to having many things in common.
and to risk being stereotyped as a wimp I would say learn to speak his "language of love" early on......there are 5 languages(styles). Learn what he appreciates and values.
Early on it is all in your court......you need to be selective and choose a good guy who can fill your role as a gentleman......

I know one of my pet peeves with women online is that they can be really uptight. One of the key components to creating attraction is being playful, flirtatious, and having a good sense of humor. So if a guy acts like one, don't start ranting about how you want more than sex. Remember you control who you sleep with. So doing some harmless flirting doesn't mean you are saying you are open to sex right away.
Other than that just be yourself and let the guy do the pursuing in the beginning.

I don't know....I never tried to get one.
But, I think in most cases, no matter the gender, if they discover they can talk and have any kind of connection....just keep on talking with things of interest....just go with the flow and let the chips fall where they may.
I think, your over thinking this....just be yourself and if that mixes well with the one your chatting with, then thats a good foundation to start with.
You can't live up to something your trying to be, if it isn't you.

I am a gentleman, here's your real no b.s. answer: be reliable, its hard to be a gentleman today, nice guys behave themselves and show strength while most girls are hypnotized by dumb guys acting foolish. Use common sense and show a gentleman that you can be as loyal and contributing as he would be for you. A true gentleman wants balance . If your immature , forget it. Ask yourself what a true woman is and you will understand what a real man is looking for. Hope it helps.

This is one of the most accurate of all. Although I don't like the semantics of friendship first, I do agree with everything else you said. All men really want women to do is stop playing mind games and show genuine interest but also never act like à prude or act strange about sex. Everything else is secondary. Also never nag too much about petty things.

It might help if you were to show him that you are interested. Not to mean you have to jump in bed right away, but let him know you want to see him again.
