Not really. And if I did, it wouldn't be too far. I work for a small faction of our government. To the best of my knowledge, we don't have transfer agreements with other departments.
Although I could possibly transfer to a different site, that is only if and when an opening becomes available. Which isn't all that often. Matter of fact, an opening did become available to me closer to my current residence, I declined it. There are pros and cons with everything.
Besides, I do like where they posted me to begin with. Right next door to the home town I grew up in. I am quite familiar with the area. Newer facility, cleaner, neater, and I feel like I have a purpose here.

Depends on the lady, and if she could accept a package deal. Also take into consideration of the challenge to find work at a new location. Or if (Yes I have a passport) what customs would have to be observed.
My answer is Depends.

It depends on tge situation. If I can get a good job there and a temporary place to get my feet off the ground, and if our relationship is good, then yes I would. If it is me move to her so she can leech off me then no.

Been there, done that already. I relocated for my ex-wife back in the early 90's and that was several states apart. Today? Maybe a 100 miles distance but further than that? Nope.
