Well where to start.
The bread of life, south of liberty on us 127. Great buffet nice homemade pies. Reasonably priced
The Kentucky depot restaurant. Stanford off of us 27 and 150 intersection. Weekend buffet also good homemade pies. Moderately priced.
The porch in Russell Springs on 127. Country cooking. Large portions. Reasonably priced
The cove also on Russell Springs. I liked the bourbon steak. Moderately priced.
Always liked Hall's on the River in Boonesboro but haven't eaten there in many years.
Moonlite BBQ in Owensboro. Love BBQ mutton. Also pork, chicken and beef.
Also Old Hickory BBQ. The locals say it is more authentic west ky BBQ.
Beaumont inn in Harrodsburg off us 127. Great country ham. Expensive.
Shakertown restaurant. I I think it is ky hwy 34. Served family style. Expensive
I liked Colton's in Glasgow. Western style steak house.
They say The Blue Bird cafe on Main Street Stanford is good but I have yet to eat there.

"Halls on the River" changed from what we were accustomed to. Stopped serving the beer cheese tray and now if you want it you need to order as an appetizer. The food also changed a couple years ago and wasn't as good. Heard many locals remark about it and not in a complimentary way. They had (and may still do) the best fried bananna peppers you could find anywhere.

One of my favorite places to eat is Angilo's Pizza on Berry Blvd here in Louisville. I've been eating there since I can remember. We had our little league baseball party there in 1978. I proposed to my ex-fiance there LOL. Lots and lots of memories there and the food is really good too!

Like Toris says Angilos on Berry Blvd is perty good. About 5 min from my house.
I love ZAs on bardstown road, louisville, another pizza pub.
The Holy Grail on bardstown road, louisville, craft beer n german food. Friends of mine own this. Very good and affordable.
Vietnam Kitchen, Iroquois Manor, louisville. Authentic and yummy.
Cattlemans Steak Restaurant, Hurstbourn area.
Applebees for they're hot pretzels n beer cheese.

Reviews on this thread cover the good places to eat. What about the ones not good?
Visited the Smokehouse resturaunt near Berea, KY last week. The buffet was basically set up for lunch but kept open throughout the afternoon until dinner crowd. The fried chicken was soggy and not crispy, the veggies were a very limited selection of the common corn out of a can and mac/cheese, etc. The fried corn dodgers were thick and soggy and not much more than cornmeal mixed with water and cooked on the grill for a short time.
The only good review: The salad bar was fresh.

Just down the road from Hall's on the River under the bridge.
The food is wonderful. Prices are great. Fried Banana Pepper's are better than Hall's. Served with c*cktail sauce and homemade beer cheese! (The beer cheese is better than Hall's also.) Haven't had a bad meal there and we go ever weekend! The have live bands on the weekends on the deck. Thursday Night Rider's meet there weekly. The staff is friendly and accomadating. Menu can be seen on their website!
Heads up gentlemen!!! Bikini Contest July 12 at 8 pm. 
I would recommended going on August 2 for the Tim Talbert Project Band. Really enjoyed them!!! They will be playing in Lexington 7/3 for Thursday Night Live and 7/4 for the Lexington 4th of July party!
Hope you get the chance to check out this fun and friendly Restaurant/Lounge. You can even tie your boat up!
