I dont know how many of you like the bonne bell lipsmacker line or not...BUT...

According to WKYC, the cosmetic company Bonne Bell is closing all its operations and laying off all its employees later this year.
The brand based in Westlake, Ohio, which created Lip Smackers and basically all neon-colored eye shadows of the '90s, is laying off all 91 of its employees as of March 29, 2015.
All hope is not lost though: The California-based Markwins International Corp. is set to acquire Lip Smackers (along with other Bonne Bell lines) upon the closing of Bonne Bell. The new company will continue distributions of Lip Smackers only in Asia, Australia, and Europe.
A representative for Markwins told Cleveland.com, "They will bring the same excitement and innovation to the Lip Smacker and Bonne Bell brands."

If the bolded part is true i wonder if people will go nuts and go to stores and get there favorites before the stores stop selling them. I wonder if stores will put there remaining stock on clearance?

I used to pickup and deliver there occasionally, at one time they also had a smaller plant in Lakewood Ohio too, no idea if that was closed or when if it was, it was old and their original facility.
Because of their location in this area? They had a pretty big following here, and with the amount of shipping they did I would guess in other areas too. The plant is decent sized and in a prime location, maybe 1/4 mile from an interstate highway.
One of the new age industrial area parks, built around 1975-1980 in a nice peaceful burb with a park like setting on a partially wooded lot with a jogging track and picnic benches outside for their employees.
With the costs of shipping and the number of close out stores in the area? I am guessing it would be cheaper for them to fire sale the remaining merchandise that to ship it to a distant location.
Although it has been 15 years or so since I was in the plant? It was a nice clean place and they took good care of it, I would be very surprised if it stayed vacant for long.

Bonne bell is not that well known with the people in their 20's. I know it's a cosmetic company like revlon but it's not really that famous even when it was in business.
I think Pantene Hair care products are more famous than Bonne bell.

I bought a powerball lotto ticket. If I win I will give this guy I know half of the money. The prize is $281 million. The IRS take 1/3 of your winnings. You get to keep 2/3 of the money.

I loved the lip glosses... when I was a kid.
Never heard of them and I have to walk through the cosmetics aisles to get to the prescription counter at Walgreens.
Good looking guys like me don't need cosmetics.

Bonne Belle is not that well known. Not many people have heard of them even when they were in business. People in their 20's don't even know they are. Many people don't know what a Bonne Belle is.
It's a cosmetic company. They are only selling in Asia & Europe cos they can't survive here in America. They don't have enough money to pay the workers here in America. American workers want at least minimum wage & health insurance. If you move your company to India, the average person make only $200.00 dollars per month, & they don't expect to have health insurance. So if you are a CEO you will want to move your company to India & Europe to save money too. That way the CEO gets to keep his high paying salary.

The minimum wage in New York City is $7.25 per hour before taxes. They only let each worker work 38 hours per week so they don't have to give the workers health insurance. The companies found a loop hole around it to save money so they don't have to give the workers health insurance. Blame all this on Obama care. Now all the little guys will suffer because of Obama. Obama hurts the little guys more than he helps the little guy.
The little guy always suffer & have to live with the mistakes made by the people creating the laws, & politicians. When politicians make a mistake they are not held accountable for their actions. The little guys end up having to live & deal with the mistakes made by politicians.
