I added raw honey to my lemon water.

Excerpt:
Raw Honey is often referred to as “liquid gold” due to its highly therapeutic antibiotic, antifungal, antiviral, antiseptic, anti-aging and anticancer properties. Raw honey is not filtered, strained, or heated above 115 degrees Fahrenheit and provides far more benefits than regular honey as it is full of active enzymes, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids that are vital for keeping the body health and for preventing illness and disease.

Raw honey contains vitamins such as B-complex and Vitamin C as well as minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and zinc. Raw honey has the power to strengthen the immune system, promote digestive health, reduce throat irritation, stabilize blood pressure, calm nerves, relieve morning sickness, balance blood sugar, heal ulcers, purify the blood, fight off colds and flu, soothe sore throats and laryngitis, and flush the kidneys.

Raw honey is also great for digestion as it contains probiotics that help to keep the beneficial bacteria in the gut healthy and strong. Raw honey also functions as a expectorant and is known to benefit respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and asthma. Raw honey promotes restorative sleep and can aid in healing and rebuilding the body during the night.

Raw Honey is hygroscopic, which means it draws all the moisture out of germs which ultimately kills them. This is why raw honey is an excellent first aid cream and can be applied externally, like a natural neosporin, to cuts, abrasions, rashes, and sores to keep the wounds sterile and quicken the healing process.

Consider adding a teaspoon of raw honey to your lemon water and/or herbal tea everyday. It’s provides instant energy and great health benefits which can give you a much needed boost to your daily health routine.

Darn, I forgot to buy walnuts today. I eat them too.

Today, I had no sweet treat.

This is one of the many reasons to cut down on white sugar::

Sugar wrecks your face
Sugar in your bloodstream attaches to proteins to form harmful new molecules called advanced glycation end products, or AGEs. These unwanted invaders attack nearby proteins, damaging them, including protein fibers in collagen and elastin, the components that keep your skin firm and elastic. The result of too much sugar? Dry, brittle protein fibers that lead to wrinkles and saggy skin.

There's more! AGEs promote the growth of fragile collagen and deactivate your body's natural antioxidant enzymes. This opens the door to more sun damage, which, as we all know, also damages and ages your skin.

Sugar Smart Tip: Beware of natural sweeteners, too. Agave products boast a higher fructose content than high-fructose corn syrup. For a sweet treat, use up to a teaspoon of honey no more than once a day.

I missed my one little treat.

^^^ The antioxidants in coffee have to be good for you... Now what some folks add to coffee...creamer, sugar, and Lord knows what else, that's a different story.

I might make some preventative "medicine"...

How about staying on my feet for five hours at a time at work?

Mom said long ago..why dont you get rid of the animals. Then you wont have to go outside in winter. I said that is exactly why I have them. So I HAVE to go outside every day. I average 1-2 miles a day walking, just doing daily stuff. And Joe says get rid of wood furnace and just run oil. I tell him..not just the savings. But I get exercise filling it 2-3 times a day. It all adds up. Neighbor once said he needed exercise stuff. I told him you have the best already. Open the door to your upstairs and step up and down on the bottom step.
It all counts. They say vacuuming is a super exercise.

^^^ When I taught, I averaged 1-2 miles per day. I would go and pick up kids from their rooms, teach them reading or math and then return them. I walked all day long and now I'm trying to get back into it. "A body at rest, stays at rest." Truer words never spoken.

Oh yes I did...I drank a glass of red wine!

I went to the store to buy the those packaged eyeglass wipes and they were out...I buy them and they are so big, I first clean my lenses,,then my phone and then my Ipad. One really works for all three. Should this have gone to the bargain thread, instead? I think it is healthy, too.

I've been gradually getting into essential oils. I think it is best to order one at a time and study it. Also, make sure your oils are pure and best of quality. (Amazon's reviews have really helped me.). There are, also, tests you can use at home to see if the oils you buy are pure without being diluted. Rather than use a diffuser...use a Nebulizer...you can smell it so much better, but a little more expensive. Many good quality oils are not expensive at all and some are.

I'm putting my relaxing oils in my diffuser, taking a detoxifying bath in Epsom salt and turning on relaxing Percy Faith and his A Summer Place cd for my health today.

Owning a pet is healthy, period.

I have not researched this, but I heard on the radio in the car that after staring at your computer (I assume IPads, too) for 20 mins, you should stop and stare in the distance for 20 secs. Your retina can be permanently demanded if you are looking at a screen for hours each day.

I never brushed teeth with toothpaste. Rarely to whiten sometimes is all. Now the more I read the more I am glad. One ingredient is the sulfate stuff used in shampoos and hand soaps to foam them. Yuck. Lots of other questionable ingredients too. And lots on fluoride now as a health risk. Especially for kids who swallow it. I know I heard a while back about maybe kids get too much fluoride between products and drinking water. And then on the other hand, dentists say kids dont have cavities because of it. Now an argument as to whether it does work. Geeze people..make up our minds! Main issue in pastes is the abrasives and the fast that some people wear their teeth away brushing too hard. And the ingredients that strengthen enamel and re-build it only works on solid enamel. Once there is a cavity, wont help.
What is bad is we never were taught this stuff. All we ever got was brush them.
I have been reading on the health of coconut oil and cocoa on teeth. So found pastes with clay, oil, cocoa and such. So...use floor dry/kitty litter? lol. I have mixed up coconut oil with unsweetened baking cocoa. And am brushing with that. I have a cavity to fix when I get my appt date. It bugs me some. If I put this mix on the tooth, stops hurting right away. So...placebo or real. They are looking into both of those for anti-bacteria. The oil kills them better than anything else. And CHB with comes from cocoa husks is super good. Guess I will stick to my ideas and see if they work. There is a system of oil flushing teeth or something where you slop the coconut oil around in your mouth for 15 minutes. And then split cause the bacteria is glued to the oil. Now THAT is taking it a bit far!!

Connier, glad you are better.

I made my breakfast casserole.

Chopped spinach, chopped broccoli, red, yellow and orange pepper diced.

12 eggs beaten, 1/2 cup milk, 1 cup shredded cheese.

This is soooooo good.
