Nope.
Wrong.

Life was designed and created by God.

There is nothing(matter) in the universe that can create much less design life nor soul or spirit.

The BBT is bogus and has been debunked by science itself.

Therefore many individuals would have to change their perspectives and beliefs accordingly.

All the building blocks for life are in the universe.

A God created the universe. (Something greater than Us)

Science has proved the universe to be billions of years old.

What existed before God?

What created God?

Science has NOT proved the universe is billions of years old.

The building blocks for life are not in the universe.

God has always existed.

Let us not get to side tracked.

Let's focus on the several theories out there and the forms of calculation.
Albeit God will always be involved and have to be discussed.

The BBT is one of the most adhered to , so I am going to focus on that more later.

Yes the universe does

So God has always existed?

Why did God create humans? Got bored one day after doing God stuff all day?

what does God do all day?

I assure you that Earth Astronomers have NOT investigated all of them yet...let alone the trillions which are out there, but as yet unknown, as they are too far away to b detected by our current technology. Once more systems are investigated better, I promise you that there will be MANY such cases of interesting coincidences out there. Wait for it.

Nothing in The Bible says the Earth is 6,000 years old. That age was computed by a Christian minister who just added up the ages of the Patriarchs...Adam begat Cain, Cain begat....etc to Christ, and then added 2,000 years.

However, not all such persons are listed in the scriptures, and we have no idea how many generations there were in between the ones who are mentioned. For instance, when The Bible says that A "begat" B, it may not mean "directly sired". It could mean:"directly sired" (was the father of), or "indirectly sired" (was the grandfather, or great grandfather, etc, of). Put a few grandfathers, great grandfathers, etc, in between the various begats, and the age of the Earth increases.

Then, too, Genesis 1:1 tells that the Earth is created. Th word used emans "finished". So, the world was finished, completed, perfect. Then, Genesis 1:2 tells that the Earth was without form, and void. That means that something happened which is not detailed in the scriptures, which severely damage / effectively destroyed the Earth. Then, the rest of Genesis is about a REBUILDING of the Earth...as everything is "made"...not "created." To create is to bring forth out of nothing...Big Bang like. To make is to build from what already exists.

There may have been one minute, or ten years, or twenty trillion centuries, or any other period of time between Genesis 1:1, and Genesis 1:2, and we have no idea how long that was...how long the Earth existed before it was made formless. So, the Earth could b any age at all, and no counting of patriarchs will ever give you an accurate age.

Most if not all of these creationists refuse to acknowledge that
theirs isn't the only creation story.
They insist that theirs is the only 'valid' creation story.
But then, so do all the other various religions.

The notion that any "one true god" can be as arbitrary
as where you were born or what culture you grew up in
is ludicrous.

The universe is vast beyond our comprehension and the only
thing that's truly constant is the laws of physics.

No. They aren't completely figured out yet but that doesn't
mean by any stretch of the imagination that if we don't know
then god did it.

This belief if you actually want to acknowledge history
is a shrinking sphere of ignorance.

History is full of things that we didn't know and attributed to god
that now we do know and don't.

King James Bible - Psalm 90:4

"For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night."

"A thousand years?" Why not a million years or a billion years.

That should satisfy Blake and the BBT.

Age may only be a number, but when it comes to the age of the universe, it's a pretty important one. According to research, the universe is approximately 13.8 billion years old. How did scientists determine how many candles to put on the universe's birthday cake? They can determine the age of the universe using two different methods: by studying the oldest objects within the universe and measuring how fast it is expanding.

Age limits

The universe cannot be younger than the objects contained inside of it. By determining the ages of the oldest stars, scientists are able to put a limit on the age.

The life cycle of a star is based on its mass. More massive stars burn faster than their lower-mass siblings. A star 10 times as massive as the sun will burn through its fuel supply in 20 million years, while a star with half the sun's mass will last more than 20 billion years. The mass also affects the brightness, or luminosity, of a star; more massive stars are brighter. [Related: The Brightest Stars: Luminosity & Magnitude]

Quote from blake6972:
BBT...

Theory:
This theory states that star formation was the result of gravitational forces.

Fact:
The problem is that the expansion pressure of the gases involved is 100 times stronger than the gravitational pressure and thus no stars could ever have formed by natural means!

Therefore, they either had to be created , or they could NOT EXIST!

Our universe is now known to have to have only 1% of the necessary mass required for gravitational forces to have formed any thing!

What about this FACT nuffan?

Are you going to lie again and deny this is a fact?

BBT is a THEORY by its own title.

Why?

Once again you LIE.

You falsely accused me .
BBT is NOT based on facts as I will continue to show you.

I never said you were lying because you disagreed with me, I said you lied because you did.

Let's go back to hydrogen.

1. Hydrogen can not be produced in any significant quantity and yet it is constantly being converted into Helium throughout the universe.
Thus, the total amount of Hydrogen is constantly decreasing.

2. Yet, our universe still consists almost entirely of Hydrogen.

This not only argues for a young universe , but also for Creation by Devine Design.

How about this ...
The surface of our moon is warming due to solar radiation .
If the moon were millions of years old , it would be so hot it would be melting, yet it is still relatively cool.

Short lived Lunar Isotopes.
1. U-236 and TH-230 found on the moon decay so quickly that they could only last THOUSANDS , NOT MILLIONS of years.

If the moon had been formed millions of years ago , none of these Isotopes should remain.

2. Yet these short-lived Isotopes are in abundance on the moon , indicating its recent formation.

Don't forget calix (as a friendly reminder) no form of life can be "made" from any known matter that exist here on Earth nor beyond (universe).

Half life of U236 is 23 million years. Should be detectable for a couple billion years.

Half life of T230 is only 75 thousand years, but it is a decay product of U238.

The Moon rotates once on its axis as it revolves once around the Earth. It always keeps the same side facing the Earth. When the Moon is full (ie outside the Earth's orbit) the side we see absorbs energy. As the Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun (the same side is still facing the Earth, but now it's dark) that energy is radiated into space.

Quote from louie6332:
Neal, you say, “Louie, the Sphinx was built by persons unknown about 10,000 years ago. Kinda blows a hole in the idea the humans were created 6,000 years ago.”

Neal, it was the race of Adam that was created 6000 years ago (we know this because the genealogy in the Bible, which traces the linage of the Jews back to their first Father Adam, add up to almost 6000 years; there is also an obscure passage in the ancient Book of Adam that enabled me to pin point the date of Adam by astronomical means, and it was nearly 6000 years ago). Other races of men on Earth are far older. But the Pyramids and the Sphinx were built before man was created upon the Earth. Some of the Egyptian Kings liked to take credit for these ancient structures by putting their own name on them. But no one remembers when they were built, because they predate man. And, no, archeologists cannot date them, all they have are guesses, guesses based on the assumption that they were built by man sometime after man came to exist, and they have their speculations about how man did that, but the speculations are laughable.

Note: Catherine Emmerich has revealed that the bones of Adam and Eve lie in a cave deep down within Mount Calvary directly beneath the spot that Christ (the second Adam) was crucified. She saw the bones lying beside a little stream in the cave. She reveals that one of the patriarchs found a skull in this cave in the days of the patriarchs and was removing it. But an angel stopped him, telling him that this was the skull of Adam and that it was to remain undisturbed. The Patriarch then returned the skull to its resting place and sealed the mouth of the cave with a boulder. From then on, the mount was referred to as “Golgotha”, which means “the place of the skull”. If we could obtain a sample of these remains, we could radio carbon date the remains to confirm the approximate date of Adam.

If you are a creationist you can accept that. The Book of Adam is not Cannon. Apocryphes are not generally accepted as good arguments.

I happen to be a very firm believer in God and that God created man in his own image
But...I believe that plane old ignorance had the Bible written in such a way as to teach in a way that ignorant people can understand the idea of creation.
Time and the idea of time is so skewed in the Bible I can't see how any rational mind can accept what it puts forward.
And honestly. God is Great but I think the universe is greater and older than God.
We have a God for this Planet, maybe this Galaxy...But I think there are other Gods for other worlds and other people.
I have an idea for the creation of God and the creation of man which can be argued Biblically. And can be backed by science. I am comfortable in my heart about this, and I KNOW God loves me as I Love God.

The only thing I can add is that I believe that God doesn't care how we come to Him, only that we come. Anyway, Love and peace y'all.

I didn't say acceptable, I said not applicable.

That will be covered, but not yet. Still have plenty of debunking to do.

Is Blake still using science to debunk science? I'd say one day he will understand how scientific discovery works, but I think we should all let his God explain it to him.

Quote from blake6972:

No d*ck head it is not a lie...

No one just spit out the BBT....it was developed over years...with observations....

The reason it is still a theory is there is not enough evidence yet to prove the theory...that does not mean there is no truth or facts in the theory...

There are many observable facts that helped develop the Big Bang Theory...

You are welcome to believe whatever you wish...

Call me a liar again...you will join my blocked list...as you rarely offer any substance to a conversation anyway...

It isn't a matter of what gets me through the day.

What gets you through the day?

You will never get through to Blake. He doesn't let facts get in the way of his beliefs.

Who is this "us" you speak of and why do you speak for them?

Oh, I am not trying to convince anyone, especially here.

Just putting out some very interesting facts.

Did I ever tell you that it takes more faith to believe a lie than it does the truth?

Mind your own business unless you would like to refute my facts with your opinions.

Why are you so negative all the time city?

Don't worry, I already know, I just wanted to read how you would answer ,but I forgot you don't answer questions. Most trolls don't.

Now move along city and be a good girl.

Show me that they are not.

Oh, that's right you cannot.
It may take a couple of sentences.
Even then you still can't.

Please refrain from missing using the laughing emoticon.

Unless you are a 12 year old girl.

Oh, nevermind.

This is a public forum, so anyone can respond.

I haven't seen you use any facts yet.

Us. The majority.

Are you sure you aren't trying to convince anyone?

They are interesting "facts".

You have no idea what I believe.

To me, you have no idea what the truth is.
You have been brainwashed. Easily manipulated.

I don't know. How old?

It doesn't matter as long as one knows the egg came before the chicken.

When did dinosaurs exist and for how long?

Here in Texas we have Glen Rose, where human and dinosaur tracks are together in the same place.

This is true. Following the story of creationism takes tons of faith. Knowing that 1+1=2 takes no faith at all.

It's not in Dallas. It is 52 miles southwest of Fort Worth in Somervell County. I've been there several times.

The name of the fossil place is Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.
