absolutely fantastic weather day. Mid 80's. clear sky. planted some stuff in a couple of my gardens. spent a lot of time taking lilacs to my mom's grave and my wife's grave. After that, I was too depressed to do anything more than enjoy the sunshine.....

Heading to 84 today!
Yes! The lilacs are blooming like crazy around here! Can't mistake their smell, So sweet and fragrant. Growing up we had the white and purple ones - For some reason I don't see a lot of the white ones anymore (mostly purple). Maybe I should look into that and get some white ones!

I feel like a nit-wit some times because I get giddy over some of the most simple things. Last night it was for the simple fact of being able to get up from the couch to do something and to return and get all comfy. A few months that was not the case, God I'm so thankful for my improvement's.

Even if I woke with the left side of my face swollen as round as a basketball (from the eyelid to jaw) the roses are in full bloom and sending their perfume into my sunroom. Will need to abandon this room for the inside in a bit because the temp is warming fast and to reach high 80's today. OH well, plenty to do inside.
Reason for the swelling? Thinking it's a allergic reaction to something I've encountered the last couple of days and highly possible it is the new mulch I've been putting in my flower beds. First it comes as itching hives, then serious fluid retention and swelling. Dr. said he felt it was an allergic reaction also. OH YEAH, another thing I like about today is that even of itchy and swollen, I don't have a wrinkle in that side of my face.

Yesterday hit the mid 80s! Spent most of the day outside doing tractor work (rolling my yard and a couple of other lots) I have a six foot roller that makes quick work of everything (don't even know it's behind the tractor)!
The Lilacs are in full bloom, What a wonderful smell.
Just a beautiful day - I would of had a bon fire last night but came inside for a bite to eat and made the mistake of sitting down!!!
(Passed out in my chair)!

Went to great-nieces t-ball game. Weather was nice and had some wind, had a great time with family. And no sets of grandparents and a few other nieces.

My clinic is about the same amount of drive time, especially if early morning and rush hour traffic. Hope your appt. came out with good news. I've been with a friend at the VA clinic so often lately that I feel it's a part of me also. Seems the last four months it's either been my annual checkups, doing the taxi to the VA clinic for friend, and Thursday May 11th catarack removal of my right eye. HECK, I had no clue the eye was as poor vision as it was until after the catarack removal and new lens. Can almost read the mouse print on forms now. WHOOPEE. Next eye scheduled for June 8th, but also having a serious allergic reaction to something that is causing the facial area to collect fluid and swell up like a blow fish. This isn't related to the eye thingee because had a couple bouts earlier but on a much smaller scale. Thinking it may be some reaction to a trailer load of mulch I've been spreading on my flower beds, etc. I'm sure it has some kind of chemical in it to treat for insect infestation and/or for transport across state lines. Any info that you have on how the mulch is treated before marketing and with what?

I go to the St Cloud VA. Been to Minneapolis and I won't go back.
St Cloud treats us like we were important. I love it up there.

I go to the St Cloud VA. Been to Minneapolis and I won't go back.
St Cloud treats us like we were important. I love it up there.

Bub, so happy you are in the VA system. The one in St. Cloud sounds so much like the one here in Lexington, KY. Heck, those gals treat you like a long time fried and go out of their way to see that you are taken care of. I'm becoming a normal face at our VA because of helping a friend make his appts for chemotherapy, etc. Those gals would give him a back rub should he ask and they would do it as if was important part of the treatment. Friend was qualified for benefits but never gone to apply. When he started this journey with the health issues, I suggested that he do so because just out of the gate he saw how expensive his co-pays and deductibles were going to be. He drug his feet and one day I threatened to drag him there by the ear. Within an hour of application he was handed his ID card, then as soon as he left the parking garage he phoned from Cloud Nine. $9.00 is his cost of perscriptions, even the expensive chemo drugs. So it's a trip over every 2 weeks and I can certainly say it's the best group of medical professionals that one will ever have the pleasure to meet.

I lived in Phoenix for many years and I have a friend who work at the VAMC in Tucson. Seems both those hospitals are more patients than they can effectively manage.
We are blessed with a good, rural VAMC here in God's Country. The John J. Pershing VAMC is located in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Yes, the co-pays are great. I went broke with my wife's co-pays and deductibles. We used up the retirement money we were going to live on, but..... I would have sold my soul and everything I owned if I could have saved her life..... I would rather live in a cardboard box with her, than in a mansion on the beach without her..... 
Lexington is one of my favorite cities in the country. I love Lexington!
I worked all over the US for IBM and I made it to the Lexington facility several times on teaching assignments....

My grand daughter lost her favorite little doll in the park by the babysitters.
The sitter told her it was her own fault for taking her doll to the park; she had told her not to take her.
When I picked her up from the sitter's house after school she got into the car crying, telling me it was her own fault, but it was going to start to rain and her poor baby would be cold and wet and crying.
It did start raining. We drove away and I took her back to the huge park. We searched for twenty minutes in the rain for this little three inch high baby. But I'm happy to say, she is home safe, dry and warm in my grand daughter's bed tonight.
Best hug ever.

LOL....good advice. Vegas does get warm. Our casino has a nice outdoor pool in the afternoon shade....and one dollar margaritas.

Nice sun shiny day, wind kept it cool. Different cloud formations, blue sky, and a partial Moon.
Went to go to the store and wouldn't you know - I had a flat tire! Right after that I got a call and a guy wanted to buy my old 6 foot disk. Awesome, That paid for two rear tires!
Dinner with some friends. It was a good day!
