I saw him a few years ago and he was all cranky. lol. But he was pretty old, so oh well. I like a lot of allman brothers songs. I like playing Blue Sky on rock band games. Also southern rock, in general, is great. allman brothers, lynyrd skynyrd, marshall tucker band, etc...

That's what I thought. Didn't most of the band die of an overdose? What got him? Drugs? Cancer? Heart?

Speaking of which...I didnt see the Billboard awards. But, mag printed a pic..apparently Cher sang. I always like her outfits..well most anyway. But the one the pic showed..  Sorry...you are what? 70?!
Get real! And that outfit wouldnt have looked good on her at 20!!!! It amazes me that celebs spend a fortune to some designer to look like an ass! 
I feel sorry for her with Chas. She raises a little girl and ends up with a fat son. Never hear anything about her other son, Elijah Blue. I thought he sand like Greg but nothing now.

Two brothers, neighbors. One told in his 60s, cut out booze, watch diet, lose and take care of your type two diabetes. So he did..super careful. Died around 81.
Brother, fat, drank like a fish, drank bacon and goose grease, had a hard time walking. Ignored docs. Died around 82!
Go figure? So who won?

According to CNN, Allman died due to liver cancer complications, which stemmed from a 2010 liver transplant.

I see. It's tough when your liver is shot like that especially if you get cancer. I've heard it's quite hard to beat liver cancer.

That was my first thought too, Picky, "gone" and "passed away" and "passed" and "no longer with us," huh? No, while sad for family and friends, the guy is severely dead and didn't go anywhere except a cemetery or a crematorium.
Someone made a ridiculous statement about drugs and alcohol, sheesh, ETOH is a drug that's known as alcohol.

What is the problem with just saying he is DEAD! Softening the wording doesnt change the reality. Or the tears.
Pa in law died of liver cancer. They said 5 years max. He said he'd beat it. Nope..5 years and died.
So did the new liver give out cause of the way Allman treated it, or did it come with cancer cells waiting??
Diabetic brother in law needed kidneys. Got them and was due out in a couple weeks. Got out in 3 months. And week later back in with infection. Docs were going to pull the replacement kidneys. Worked fine when installed and not anymore. Didnt matter..dead in a week in his 50s. I dont believe in transplants..too many people I know where it failed or made for a miserable life.
