Under the great North Star
Trying to work out where you are
In the silence of the sea
I don't know where I'll be
In the future, in the past
Going nowhere, much too fast
When I go there, go with me...
Cause I don't know where I'm going
even when I wanna talk
I feel like I'm going where I've been before
And I wanna talk some more......
Take a picture of something that you're not sure of
Bring it back to show to me,but I don't know what I'll see
In the future, find a home
Getting nowhere on your own
Got to find your missing piece........
You don't know were you're going, and you wanna talk
You feel like you're going where you've been before
Nothing's really making any sense at all
You tell anyone who'll listen, but you feel ignored
Let's talk, Do you wanna talk?
I'm up in the part of the throne
I'm trying to sing a song
In a language I don't speak
I tried but I can't get through
I'm trying to get to you
But you're very difficult to reach
Won't you talk to me????

The poet needs the rain -to sing his songs of sad refrain,
and when he's happy he can't write, -he's busy in his head, where he makes it all seem so right.
But if you're sad and blue and the rains won't fall for you,
an umbrella in the sun can shade you from coming all undone.

why oh why would I cry
a sunshiny day and there ain't no rain
maybe I need some to write down words
just my mood,is that absurd?
a hat,an umbrella there is no need
a worried world it is indeed
capture the sentence,capture a tune
read these words, you'll find out soon.
some may come and some may go
I read it all, there was no show
no glitter,no guts,no glory,no teams
A picture perfect day it seems.
Just a typical Sunday on DH
the invisible post without a face
but friendly are they, who else would care
a word game or two is all they would share.
Happy posting posters......

Fuel for thought for some one.......
Why do we never get an answer, When we're knocking at the door.
With a thousand million questions, About hate and love and war?
Cause when we stop and look around us, There is nothing that we need.
In a world of persecution, That is burning in its greed.
Why do we never get an answer, When we're knocking at the door?
Because the truth is hard to swallow, That's what the war of love is for.
It's not the way you say it, When you do those things to me.
It's more the way you mean it, When you tell me what will be.
And when you stop and think about it, You won't believe that it is true.
That all the love you've been giving, Hasn't all been meant for you.
I'm looking for someone to change my life, I'm looking for a miracle in my life.
And if you could see, What it's done to me, To lose the love I knew,
Could safely lead me there atop the mountains,Or the crashing of the sea.

Under the poet tree I lay,
alone now, but after I say,
that to love again some day,
first forgive myself. This way,
in time, loving myself, may
lead to a time I might, Nay!,
I WILL!, give freely of my love, okay?
(Enough already! OI VAY!)
My brain, full of rust and dust, can only hope for better^ with practice.

The earth, it's bare
cracked and white
there's no one in sight
just me and my soul
no food, no coal
warmth is missing
coldness is rising
the sun, it's dying
thus darkness reigns
sit, dear, by all means
no one is there
it's still so bare
no fire to light
no beasts to fright
It's a lonesome entity
may be one lowly life
or an everlasting eternity
winter is coming
faster than you think
wash you coat
It's here in a blink
Oh so cold and lonely........

A little glimpse of heaven
Here upon this earth
In a sun filled morning
In a newborn baby's birth...
In the droopy dandelions
In a wet slobbery kiss
Just the simple things
I'm glad I didn't miss...
In the good times and
In the not so good
Times a heart healed when
I didn't think it could...
The many I love you's
Whispered from tired lips
Even the apple pies
Adding pounds to my hips...
Having a hand to hold
Even after they have gone
A little glimpse of heaven
To keep me hanging on...
To live this life over again
I wouldn't change a thing
For the wisdom I have gained
Is the blessing that it brings...

How do I mend a broken heart?
My entire world has fallen apart.
How do I find hope in a brand new day,
when the one I love has gone away?
My mind overflows with memories of you,
of all that we've shared, all that we knew.
I long for your touch and your warm embrace,
the look in your eyes, the smile on your face.
My dreams are filled with your soft gentle kiss,
I wake and cry for all that I miss.
How do I mend a broken heart,
when my one true love and I are apart?
My heart knows to love only you, it won't let go, what do I do?
Our moments together were precious and few,
but I cherished them all more than you knew.
I love you my angel and always will,
I loved you then and I love you still.
Don't you read till you awake
A dream that comes won't be fake
you'll think back and wonder why
Should I have gave it a try.

Love Song by Rainer Maria Rilke
How can I keep my soul in me, so that
it doesn't touch your soul? How can I raise
it high enough, past you, to other things?
I would like to shelter it, among remote
lost objects, in some dark and silent place
that doesn't resonate when your depths resound.
Yet everything that touches us, me and you,
takes us together like a violin's bow,
which draws one voice out of two seperate strings.
Upon what instrument are we two spanned?
And what musician holds us in his hand?
Oh sweetest song.

The Oak Tree
A mighty wind
Blew night and day
It stole the oak tree's leaves away
Then snapped its boughs
And pulled its bark
Until the oak was tired and stark
But still the oak tree held its ground
While other trees fell all around
The weary wind gave up and spoke
How can you still be standing Oak
The oak tree said, I know that you
Can break each branch of mine in two
Carry every leaf away
Shake my limbs, and make me sway
But I have roots stretched in the earth
Growing stronger since my birth
You'll never touch them, for you see
They are the deepest part of me
Until today, I wasn't sure
Of just how much I could endure
But now I've found, with thanks to you
I'm stronger than I ever knew

What a way to live, no
No break_fast, no hunger
Maybe an apple though, path
Leading to the smell of bark
Running in town, yet sleeping through
Reaching in the dark, putting on clothes
Not arousing, except for a pocket, where
The only ones met are store-formed
Confess mortal, content to die
How better dead the forms moving
Unaware relinquishing prophetic
Compose Love to vanish in wing
In mind's eye to see again
Ghosts of beauty, dearest
Maintained, copy and prune
Roughened bark, black by rain
Wistful dreamer eyes, Leo heart
Clothed without defunct origami
Strings skyward sizing in flight
Balancing 'tween lost and found
Pausing in answer, to question
Crouching uncompromisable
Branching view shaken, with
Piercing eyes glaring obliques
Bough scented hope revealing
Noting song half-way, stairs
Egging self-bound perfection
'til un_patterned to prevail
Seven 'o' two time dictation
Lease intercepted stealthily
Hour eccentrically shared
Literal ennoblement fount

My eyes are hot,
Lids burning red..
The tears won't let me
Go to bed.
I'm stinging sad
Yet mad as hell
No bargaining power
to trade nor sell
It isn't fair
It isn't right,
Wish I could save you
With all my might
Your favorite color,
Your pets names,
So many thoughts
My heart's in flames!
You stand fast
For good and right
Take your time,
Don't rush flight.

When you are ill,
our sun goes under a cloud.
Your presence in all our lives
is such a bright joy
that everything seems in shadow
when you're not here.
When you aren't feeling well,
we feel the lack
of your glowing energy
and contagious vitality.
When you are sick
we all feel incomplete,
like a jigsaw puzzle
with a missing piece.
Please rest,
take good care of yourself,
and feel better.
We all miss you
and want you back.

On a lone old wooden bench I will be waiting
The last stronghold of nature in the city
Now towers grow like trees in the summer
Standing as shepherds of our downfall
The stars burn themselves out slower
When nothing can be salvaged,Hope is all we have left
It’s never enough,But we still try: Even now........

Time, they say
and new love, may
Salve a heart broken.
to feel new life, then
Reach deep deep inside
only you can decide
Enough sadness! Enough pain!
'tis time to live again!
You've had broken hearts before
May happen again, for sure
It's up to you
friend, only you...

I sat down to write
a romantic poem
confessing I love you.
However, I guess I’m not
in a romantic mood today,
as I couldn’t find
anything romantic to say.
The words it seems
have left my head,
which only leaves me
one thing to do,
and that is to go to bed.

Fear no evil,
It's merely an earthly thing,-
It's here to make our shoulders stronger,
To later have strength to take wing.
The burdens will be lifted,
We will be light and feel afloat,
Rising up toward the heavens,
Our worries shed,
The angels there, waiting to dote.
Thru the gates to stressfree life,
Never again an ounce of strife,
Tip a toe-ing cloud to cloud,
White silks billowing,
With sheer veil as shroud.
Fellowship, and harmony,
No bad thoughts will ever be,
Just wispy and light, daily delights,
As we all run and dance carefree

I have never seen a deer cross a road
at a deer-crossing sign
I guess I haven't lived yet
Watch after I write this
one will cross there,I bet
It will jump right out
and say you have been warned
read the sign Mr.,
It's there on that post...
He shakes his head
back and forth from disgust,
stupid,crazy drivers
there's none we can trust...
Runs into the woods
as safe as can be,
and shouts out aloud
watch out for a tree...

If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don't,
If you like to win, but you think you can't
It is almost certain you won't....
If you think you'll lose, you're lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will
It's all in the state of mind....
If you think you are outclassed, you are
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize....
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!!!!

There are days when nothing seems right,When every shell you pick up on the winding shore is broken. When the silken treasure slips through your fingers too quickly. When comforts are empty,And the world is noise.
On those jagged edged days, when the wind is screaming for a reason only she understands. And you find yourself all alone....
There is goodness in the world, that even the river of tears cannot erase.
There is love in the world, that the numbed armies of fear can not destroy.
Sometimes that goodness is everywhere apparent,It pours from the heart of every Moment...
From the light of every smile,
On those soft days, love hides in the eaves to drop like sweet honey on your forehead and sings her lilting lullabies in the arms of the winds.
But on some days, Beloved, On days like today,Look to the sun.....
Go inside yourself, Find a speck, a splinter of beauty to be grateful for,
Yes, the day has worn you, And Yes our mistakes have been so many,
But say Thank you anyway,Take account of all that is in your possession....
A mind, A heart, A body,A life that breathes, even if for just one more day.
Now count the eyes that have smiled at you on your wild journey,
the hands that have held you tenderly, the ears that have listened,
the prayers that have been made on your behalf,And whisper your Thank you again.
Count the sky that has watched you grow with His painted eyes,
The heaving waves that find their echo in the tides of your breathing,
The little birds that have sung you their songs,
The stars which have been a lamp to your path, and are your rightful inheritance....
Count unexpected laughter,Count undeserved grace,
Count Passion and Love making and Dreams yet to be born,
And bow your head and say Thank You....
Now count the lives who still need your light,
The hungry, the sick, the helpless,
Count the children who will die today
and imagine if with the breath of your body
you could help just one....
Turn your face to the sun,And know yourself as a child of the light,
You are the Goodness that cannot be extinguished,
The love that burns through the darkest night....
And perhaps,In turning You will see what I have seen,
that this day where everything seemed wrong, was not your curse,
It was your gift,Your chance,To find inside yourself a forgotten Thank You,
To smile in the face of the grim suppressors,
To stand in the heart of the glowering darkness,We need to look, to see,
So turn your face to the sun....

Ok, so I can't sleep but thought........
Here’s a tricky issue:
The task is to grasp, to connect, to understand....
But such a task is to some degree impossible, and most people want clarity....
At the end of class, at the end of the day,
we want revelation,A glimpse of your way....
a glimpse of the skyline through your lifting fog,
a glimpse of what happened, that finished your day....
Aesthetically, this is understandable, nothing to blog
Some magic, some satisfaction,some Ahhh!
is it one of the rewards of any reading I ask
and particularly the reading of a poets task????
But a poem that reveals itself completely
in one or two readings will,
over time, seem less of a poem than one that constantly reveals
subtle recesses and previously unrecognized meanings....
are you as confused as I am????
I am not confused, I wrote it and know what I meant....
Read it again when you're in a different mood,
It grabs you and holds you, like a poem should.....

Frigid days become warm,
Rainy days become cloudless
And lightning got wiped away from the storm.
Oceans sing,
Rocks cry out,
Mountains roar,
And tree branches shout.

All because you made me smile

Oh my! Oh me!
How can it be
A frog flying into a tree?
IF frogs could flee
A spending spree
Would that frog pay a fee?

There was the cat slopping its milk all day,
Fat cat, red tongue, green mind, white milk
And September the most peaceful month.
To be, in the threads, in the peacefullest time,
Without that monument of cat,
The cat forgotten in the moon...
And to feel that the light is a rabbit-light,
In which everything is meant for you
And nothing need be explained...
Then there is nothing to think of. It comes of itself,
And east rushes west and west rushes down,
No matter,
The threads are full...

The first lights of dawn come shyly in,
Through the window, to my sky,
I watch wide eyed and with bated breath,
As she beckons me with her balmy fest,
Sensuously teasing, my sleep worn eyes
Tickling my senses with a touch so light
I feel the thrilling glow under my skin
I spring back to life, from within.
A golden tinge or silver grey,
Now, a fiery orange bright,
Yellow rays are seeping through,
Liquid gold or love’s own hue,
Pink or is it flesh tint?
I just can’t make up my mind,
Such colors in my palette, I can never find.

continued............
I now await the even scene,
The ruddy skyscape and palms so green,
The yellow ball of flaming fire,
Extinguished by it's own desire.
The pompous floating of the pearly queen,
Upon the carpet of velvety sheen,
I linger on in reverent awe
To drink deeply of beauty’s charm,
I pray that rain clouds will not hide
Your regal beauty and pompous pride,
I rest in hope that each day will bring,
My share of the bliss, your beauty holds
At dawn and dusk and every moment gay,
You hold me captive in your sway!

And finally.......
A surge of warmth comes to my face,
Like a woman held in warm embrace,
Lost in the splendorous rose tinted haze,
Molten lava or flaming copper river,
Scalding my memory, imprinting forever,
Pleasurable moments that send down shivers,
Spellbound by her beauty and her splendor!
The leaves quiver gently and scarcely shake
The enchanted, from her dream like state,
The birds now sing their joyful note,
The squirrels scramble and chatter about,
The green bee eater and Koels loud,
Calling out to their mates so proud,
The eloquent silence of dawn now ends,
And now my life will begin again!!!

The reason I love you is
That I could be just one
Small moment in many
Of time we shared

Where all is right with the world
For just a moment it seems...

Would you give three hoots or a holler
If bagels were made any smaller
Blueberries and cream cheese
No more, if you please
Would life then be filled with squalor
Oh... woe is me

I had a pain in my pate
While starring up toward heaven's gate
I saw the comets whizzing by
Wondering why men weren't born to fly.
