Lord, You Are…

Lord, You are my strength,
whenever I’m completely weak.
You are the spiritual delight
in Whom I only seek.
Lord, You are my morning light
that’s shining above the mountain peaks.
You are my hungering desire –
For each day of every week.
Lord, You are my vigilant Father
over earthly trials through which I eke.
Please keep me mindful of Your Word,
so my attitude remains… humble and meek.

One of my big arguments about teachers complaining about all the work they do..

....How many jobs do you get the summers off and very seldom do they work a month without a short week .. The same how many jobs give you off 2 weeks every Christmas????

Congress? Oops..wrong. They get two weeks WORK! I read once that they think the legend of mermaids came from someone seeing a walrus or manatee come up out of the water draped in sea weed. Tell me THAT wasn't a desperate man!

There was a very legit reason for two weeks off during Chritmas. I worked for an automotive paint manufacturer and to be working then shut down for a couple days, then reopen for the few days between Christmas and New Years really put the whammy on manufacturing process. It was not good to leave a batch of paint setting in a tank. As soon as it was approved as a good batch it went directly to filling department and put in cans. So, to prevent lost batches of product it was more economical to shut down continuously for the two weeks of Christmas. It was a good company to work for. We had several perks and benefits.

Joe and I were talking one day about treats. And we were onto ice cream rolls. We got one once in a while. He said it was his families birthday or Xmas treat. So...I went to stores to get one. hmmm..maybe this store..this one..WTH? I find drumsticks, and sandwiches but no where can I find an ice cream roll. No chocolate cake rolled thin with ice cream. What gives!! All those fancy, expensive yuppie treats and they dont make ice cream rolls anymore. What IS this world coming too!! I suppose next they will quit making those little wax juice things for candy!

Subject: LOST WIFE

A husband went to the police station to report his missing wife:

Husband : I've lost my wife, she went shopping yesterday and has still not come home.

Sergeant : What is her height ?

Husband : Oh, 5 something, maybe 5,5

Sergeant : Build?

Husband : Not slim, not really fat, but could loose a few.
Sergeant : Color of eyes?

Husband : Dark. Not sure - maybe Brown.

Sergeant : Color of hair?

Husband : Changes according to season - lightish brown now .

Sergeant : What was she wearing?

Husband : I don't remember exactly but she wears jeans a lot.

Sergeant : Did she go in a car?

Husband : yes.

Sergeant : What kind of car was it?

Husband : 2015 Corvette Stingray 3LT with the Z51 Performance Package, shark gray metallic paint, with the 6.2 litre V8 engine with Direct Injection generating 460 HP. 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, and Black leather GT bucket seats, and has a very thin scratch on the front left door near the....... at this point the husband started crying...

Sergeant : Don't worry sir.......We'll find your car.

Depends on the quality of the rocks. We were talking about beautiful people. I said who Joe thought was the most beautiful woman. He took the safe answer...lol. No, really. He said he couldnt remember the name of an actress in the 60s. Not well known. I said I thought many of the 40s were...The Gabors, Rita Hayworth, Monroe, Loren, Liz, ok..brain freeze..the one who played Scarlett....Grace Kelly...seems there were more gorgeous dames back then. Today, not so many. I think Angela Jolie is about the prettiest currently. Bullock is pretty and Swift. Of the past I would say Liz although Catherine Denuve was pretty and declared the most gorgeous in the world when she was young. And she was. As far as men go..today...Tom Selleck and Sean Connery. Some the the men like him and Wayne, Douglas, Mitchum, Lancaster were not that great when young but improved with age. I think Gable was handsome and tops was Yul Brenner. Today for younger..pass on the ones declared studs. Yuck. Depp is good looking in certain roles. I am beginning to think that humans are losing looks. Lots of pretty people but not like the 40s batch.

Aint it the truth. I swear they are all leszies and want another female. These STARS today look like little boys or wimps or f*ggots. No thanks. Muscles dont make a man. Hard work and living does. If I wanted a baby face, would have kids!!! Most of the men today have bland looks. I like Liam Nieson for looks. He has a broken nose but if photographed the right angles, good looking. Give me a scar, give me a frown, a broken nose..something that makes him stand out from the herd. Dep as Jack Sparrow is hot. As an actor on the street..just OK. I'll take a biker or mountainman before some wimp in a suit and tie.

Yep. It is rare to here of an actor these days that started out in life as a laborer. Of course we do have Machette! LOL. Cool dude. HOW the heck he got into acting, I will never know! My parents wanted me to be a lawyer. If I ever married, chose white color. Dad wouldnt teach me the lathe..said not for female bodies. Only knew one in Germany. I ended up marrying an auto mechanic/junker. And working bodies on cars. I told mom, I grew up with a man who worked with his hands. I was literally born with the smell of metals in my nose. How did they think I could ever have respect for a suit who whined his a** was tired from sitting. And not love working metal and working with MY hands.

Do not eat pickles and drink pickle juice before bedtime. I was dreaming..Joe and I are at the base of the kitchen steps outside. I am going to prune a small tree in the flower bed and notice..a ripe small plum. OH! So pick up ripe ones off ground and we eat some. He says they should be on a sandwich. So in house, I make one and he says not right. Let me. He comes into LR and hands me one, he is eating his. I take one bite and go YUCK..all I taste is pickle. Now..the bun is that flat top like burger joint uses, on it is smeared jelly, cream cheese, pickle slices, plums and a hamburger patty. ( bought 10 pounds of it yesterday). I realllllyyyy need to do something different before I go to bed!!!
And wake up at 6 am..what the hell???Siren? Did I leave the scanner on? Radio is low...on it? Listen to it for the 30 seconds. I AM awake..not dreaming. Got up and checked house. Nope..scanner off..turned up radio..babble babble...It was like a meow siren. Hmmm...heard Fuzz's alarm in basement and he has weird Ipad alarm programmed? This am I asked him. Nope. I described it. He said it IS a cat. He has heard it by the basement window. Man..that is the weirdest cat yowl I ever heard!!!
