By the way, since the mid 70's there have been over 30 million abortions. Just think of how many tax payers are not contributing to the system just because that child was an inconvenience?

You are from Massachusetts. She doesn't have to give up rights, for you to have custody. Under Massachusetts Laws, the PERSON that housing and paying for the child's care may file for custody. There is NO automatic grant of custody to the WOMAN, like it is here in Ohio.

You are from Massachusetts. She doesn't have to give up rights, for you to have custody. Under Massachusetts Laws, the PERSON that housing and paying for the child's care may file for custody. There is NO automatic grant of custody to the WOMAN, like it is here in Ohio.
I wasn't being that specific because I don't know all of the legalities. Just trying to say I would be open to several ways of avoiding an abortion. There have been some father's rights groups advocating the bio dad having some input, besides what he put in.

As currently in the US, the MOTHER has SOLE legal rights to terminate the pregnancy, even if the father wishes to keep the pregnancy.
However, if the man wishes to terminate for any reason, he legally can't have it done without the mother's consent.
So, in both of those cases it is not a LEGALLY equal decision being made, and women that even ask the man is an insult to my intelligence because it doesn't matter what the man says, anyway.
That is called "Female Privilege".
And I don't care to hear the "Her Body" crap, either. If she didn't want to get pregnant, she should have taken her own protective steps to prevent pregnancy, even if that means keeping her legs closed.

And considering child support is almost a $40 billion/year business, we KNOW why men aren't allowed to make that decision or have any equal say in it.
I'll tell you what, I'll have the kid, keep it against YOUR objections, and you have up to 60% of your after-tax income taken away(that I get to collect TAX-FREE) amd then talk about how you have NO RIGHTS to something you are FORCED to pay for, even if that means you will starve to death. Oh, and I will refuse to give you visitation rights, too, because the Law allows me to do that, if I want to be an a** about it(which I will)
So, don't knock what YOU haven't lived through, either.
Keep an aspirin bottle squeezed between your legs, and you don't have to worry about it, now do you?
And since pregnancy is so destructive on your body, and blah, blah, blah, then why do women keep doing it more and more?

This is the answer to the question: "Who should decide for/against abortion?"
The one that gets pregnant, the one that makes the other one pregnant or the one that carries the pregnancy. I would say the one that does the work has the right to decide.
The man ejaculates sperm in woman's body - he has the choice to do it or not. The woman does not extract the sperm from his body.
The woman becomes pregnant by that - she has the choice to take measures (or not) to prevent the fertilization of her egg.
The woman carries the pregnancy - she does the work so she has the choice to decide to do it or not.

Soul, I speak for myself on this statement. If other men think it is all on the woman, for responsibility of contraception, they are hypocrites..
I believe BOTH mem and women responsible for behaving responsibly in their sexual lives.
Men can use condoms, and they do make male birth control. Men can get fixed, like I did, of they never want children.
And more men need to adopt my attitude and take responsibility to not go out knocking up a bunch of women, then trying whine and complain about child support laws.
And when it comes to a female's birth control, I used to pay for my girlfriends' birth control, when they hit situations where they couldn't afford it. The ones that weren't trying to get pregnant and being responsible about it, I had no problems with showing support of that.
