I think you need to go to the profile section.
Your profile needs a little help with how to flow with your words and not say too much.
It's ok to list your wants and the type of person you are, but its a little too much, plus a little to long.

This may help others to read your profile if you have structure and shorten it up.

When I was looking to date, I didn't care too much at first about the pictures or what someone said in their profile. I cared more about the quality of the exchange of messages and the quality of the conversation.

The only thing that would dissuade me from meeting someone if we hit it off...is if they were looking for a FWB. I don't mind making new friends... but I don't hand out benefits like Halloween candy.

Begging people to read a profile doesn't sound like it would result in quality candidates

When I was dating, most of that time, I didn't even have a pic posted. I always knew that anyone who contacted me or responded to my contact had either interacted with me in the fora or had read my profile. Often, the men with whom I communicated , did not read my profile until after we had exchanged pics, e-mails or met. No biggie.

Did you ever consider that you are creating a bunch of hoops for men to jump through and might be hyper-focused on minute details? Perhaps you are creating your own barriers to dating...most of us do. Heal thyself.

I actually read women's profile...despite the fact most of them are literal carbon copies of each other.

Which is true....but op are you really thinking they like what they see?

Here's the deal, some men spam out emails to several profiles hoping someone takes the bait....without detailing the profile and of course they pick the better looking ones.

Ya see, few men if any... get bombarded with several emails and choices like most women do. Enough are willing to settle just to have someone....or else, they end up with no one.

Now, the better men won't do this or as much....but they are more selective, so if some women don't get emails from these better men....then you simply did not have what it takes to draw them in.

Now, that I've explained this to you.

Lets examine how women sort thru all these emails they get.....well, first off they go by the pictures, if he looks good, he goes into the possibility pile....if not....he gets deleted.

What were you saying about pictures and children???

there you go....

Maybe subliminally she is blaming the lack of attention by the lack of her looks, and feels if they read her profile, they will change their mind and email her.

^^^^^^^^^^Its the truth.

Most say about the same thing more or less, its just written chronologically in a different order.

I guess to dispute this....then your admitting to reading tons of women's profiles.

Which could be, because Mizgal claimed to be a lez.

and you came in, when she went out....and you both made threads of similar subjects, and pretty much hang on those threads all the time you are here.

Well....let me clue you in.

She was about your age exactly.

and she posted nothing but hate whitey threads....just as you only post whine threads about men.

And she posted almost exclusively in her threads and whenever you logged in...sure enough there she was on her threads.

Just like you do.....

We figured she would never leave....however she did, just as you were coming on.

There's too many coincidences for this to be coincidental.

I've been on forums long enough to see the math ad up here.

Something just hit me.

Shrinks say that people with split personality syndrome or multiple personality syndrome....when they suddenly change to another personality, most of them only recognize which one they are now and aren't aware of their other personalities.

So...that answers why you don't recognize yourself as being Mizgal.

I should have thought of that earlier.

So...herein lies a reality of internet "dating" sites.

There are only TWO reasons for a person to read someone's profile.

They find the picture/s appealing OR they are interested in something that was posted in either a forum or the quick info on the opening of the profile.

Well, I always read the profile of someone who interested me. I still read those who interest me, even though my interest is for different reasons now since I'm no longer looking.

But...exactly what is wrong with liking the pictures they see and contacting someone based on that? Don't we do that in real life? You see someone, you like what you see, and go over and talk.

We are visual beings. We see something, it piques our interest, we find out more.

We're not wearing blinders or meeting people in the dark. The very first thing noticed is their looks. We don't see their sparkling wit, their dazzling intelligence, their brilliant personalities. We see their face, their body--we see the package, not the contents. Not at first. That comes with the approaching once you find you like what you see.

I do have to admit. I feel a bit like chopped liver since no one ever sent in an initial message that I was the person of their dreams or that they'd marry me in a heartbeat.

Not me....once every six months, I print out several profiles, then I hang them on the wall and throw darts at them.

The ones I hit in the center, I read their profile and if its interesting and shows promise I send them an email....no matter what they look like.

i read profiles but never message or comment so i guess it doesn't do much good lol. but my experience with reading profiles and creating an awesome well thought out message only for it to go unnoticed or not get a response, i guess it's not really that fruitful to waste a ton of time reading profiles as a guy. i think the most effective thing to do is just to send a message a real quick message and see if they even respond 1st imo. but i'm just a creep, what do i know =p

This comment goes to fairmaiden and master.

I think her thread here is """not""" about....why do men look at the pictures and want you without reading the profile.

I think in her case, its about why do men look at the picture and decide they don't want you without reading the profile...and that's her beef here.

as far as big boobs...I suppose there are some men who get that exited about them, they might just go after a woman based solely on that....but to me, a real man progresses from that stage after the teen years and moves on to being an a** man....

This is not saying, I'd go after a women to have a relationship with her ass()...and nothing else about her matters.

I'm not that way.

But the thing her big boobs here, it might attract those like Jester who normally need a step ladder to reach them, in this case, as long as he can reach her waist...he wouldn't need a step ladder.

1. Picture attracts me to him.
2. His profile can say a lot about him - top to bottom.
3. His friends list tells a story.
4. His other photos tell a different story.

I look, read and question.

P.S. But I do not look on the dating side anymore.

My profile really never stated who I am and etc exactly....If I wrote it in that matter, I think few would believe it....some would think its a scam...though it would be the truth.

My friends list would not be a hint, because unless they are terrible seeming, I find it hard to reject someone who ask....see, I'm too nice too.

My pictures???

who knows.???

So, that method wouldn't work on me.

Personally I don't use the words in a profile to determine much even though I will read a profile...unless its really different and many are just carbon copies of each other pretty much all saying the same thing.

Perhaps this is why enough men don't read them....I don't know.
