Schools on a 3 hour delay around here. 9 degrees out there. Wind is blowing ..but not as much as yesterday. A few more days and this will be out of here. Its like..Hold on a Little Longer and We'll be Home Free. It has not been a Bad winter here. We haven't had a snow yet...just flurries. I was looking at March's predictions and looks like lots of Warm weather... but, Only God is in control. We will Survive.

I look out my window on this very Cold Morning and wonder about the Animals. Then I see the Birds already trying for their food for the day. I know they are taking care of.

I hope your Electric doesn't go back off. One time a home is heated and that happens...takes time to heat back up. Also, have to worry about water pipes in this 0 weather.
Don't know why our Water froze last night....we took measure to keep that from happening. Guess we can't Fool Mother Nature.

Thank God for heat tape for the cold water pipes. That really does help a lot..I hate to see my electric bill for this winter. Ouch. Have to keep the pipes under the sinks warm. Yikes.

Those heating tapes are great. Our pipes were all wrapped with insulation. The Plummer said the pipe froze from the meter to the house. Maybe wasn't buried deep enough. We have water now, thankfully. These Freezing temperatures we had last night broke the record for us.
Happy...The only ones smiling, will be the Electric Company when we have to pay the Bill.

My bill just heating 2 rooms is $251.00
for February...this is the coldest I can remember
in a long time....sons pipes froze and he was
working on them late last night..
I kept mine with a small stream which will
make for a high water bill....can't win in this climate..

Air Conditioning in Texas is a Must...so I have heard. Well..I can say..if you don't know English..I won't talk to you. Since I lived in Virginia for 20 years..everyone here in the south think I came from up North. My Northern Accent. My Daughter has that Southern accent.... she never picked up the Northern one. She knows Spanish very well.

Happy you went out. I see a lot of Items for Easter on Store shelves. Don't have any Small ones to buy for. We still dye Eggs on Easter Eve. Do a few Decorations.
It is lots of Fun to watch those little ones find the Hidden Eggs.

about a woman sending around 1 and 1/2 million dollars to man she thought was real on dating site.....How lonely can you be to get scammed that bad.....I have gotten newsletters from people who say they are in Africa or Algeria's ...when it sounds fishy...it usually is..

I finally braved the weather and went to the Grocery Store. We didn't get more than an inch of Snow today and by afternoon a lot was gone. Weather report is saying around 3 to 5 inches tomorrow night. Mostly each year in this area we get 1 Snow...hope this is it. Looking forward to warmer weather soon.

Dellia..this doesn't surprise me..but what is this stradegy teaching the children? The thing to do is just not buy as much gas as when the prices were lower IMO..There is plenty to do around our homes and more car pooling..

I use to walk quite a way to school as well. I did not need to catch the bus as the exercise was best for me to keep keep my figure..

The comments about school brought this to mind--we worked so hard on the farm, no one was heavy back then ...there was one girl who was very fat but We all were friends back then and still are.....today young girls are so fat..every where you go their arses is hanging out their pants.....never would have caught us oldies looking like that..

I enjoyed a lot of sports in school, such as softball, tumbling, soccer for example. During the summer I swam a lot. I didn't live on a farm. One hardly could be heavy doing all those sports..just sayin'

Girls, This is funny....Dellia I went to school with grandchildren, the hamburger was so dry, cold bun nothing on it --really disgusting--kids didn't want it either..BUT--went to Doctors office today and all the young receptionists/nurses were quite heavy and all were putting the doughnuts down...., ----And I love them too but can't eat that much sugar....But Louie if you want to see fat--got to Walmart.....
