Those lights are called Northern Lights and you can see them in Fairbanks almost all year around. I went to Fairbanks, for a visit, the day before the big quake hit LA CA.

I read that a woman in Boston was injured, when in her car, when a large batch of ice slid off a roof. She is in the hospital but exected to pull through, I think.
