As we take a breath, someone is taking their last breath...
A friend at my church has died....Her husband had taken care of her
for years ..He said he prayed every night to live long
enough to see she was taken care of...such a nice and loving couple...

Clinical Studies Using Turmeric For Joint Pain

This research, has a three-month trial involving patients diagnosed by x-ray with osteoarthritis. The team was investigating the effect on all arthritis symptoms of a special formulation of turmeric designed to improve its absorption by the body. Half the participating patients took the turmeric formulation in addition to standard medical treatment; those in the second group continued following their physicians' recommendations.

After 90 days, the researchers found a 58 percent decrease in overall reported pain and stiffness as well as an improvement in physical functioning among the turmeric group. These changes were documented with a standard medical scoring method used to assess symptoms of arthritis. In addition, another scoring method showed a 300 percent improvement in the emotional well being of the turmeric patients compared with the others. And blood tests showed a 16-fold decline in C-reactive protein, a marker for inflammation. Patients in the turmeric group were able to reduce their use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs by 63 percent, compared to the other group.

Several recent studies show that turmeric/curcumin has anti-inflammatory properties and modifies immune system responses. A study showed turmeric was more effective at preventing joint inflammation and reducing joint inflammation than NSAIDS.

Maybe worth a try.?????

I went into sams one time with someone else who was a member, when we checked out, they don't bag your groceries, there was a big stack of boxes over against the wall, and you had to put your own groceries in the boxes yourself. I told her, why I wouldn't buy anything from a store that wouldn't bag the groceries. and I wont.

I wouldn't either! I un-pack the groceries out of the shopping cart to be checked, and then pack them back into the cart, that is enough! I'm 77 years old, and that wears me out!

no easy task...boxes 4 foot tall

tools, Paula Dean cookwear, riding toys,
more toys.. tents, mattress pads, air mattresses,
microwaves...too much to mention
.and very little junk to trash
as we thought would be ""HARD WORK""

SOUTH CAROLINA black girl refused to put away phone in class
cops called in

When should phones be allowed anyway..

Golden..I do Agree..

This is so Crazy...
Will the Student get her phone taking away???
I doubt it...She was Black..Officer was White.
We will have one more year of this..If we Survive.

I guess the Parents of this girl didn't teach her respect...
This Student knew the School rules..But she BROKE them...

I do agree that the Officer could have treated this in a better manner. If the Officer had been Black..this would have gone UNNOTICED.

I do say this IS NOT A CIVIL CASE. Did you see how fast it was turned into one..
BLACK LIVES MATTER..OH YA>>WELL "WHITE LIVES MATTER TOO" ...

WE as people... NO matter the color... have been getting along..UNTIL OBAMA and HIS *** Wife moved into the White House. They are SOOO Racist.

that cop has anger issues. this is not the first time he has over reacted, and brutalized someone. this girl was a kid, not a fighting drunk in a bar. she posed no threat to the cop. he could of easily taken her by the arm and led her away. JMO

I see your Point..Louie.

I did say the Officer was wrong in the way He treated the Situation.
He did not have to do what he did. However, the Student REFUSED to go with Him.

What I really am pointing out is...The Student knew the RULES of the school. Most Schools I know have a Policy that if you use your Cell Phone in class..you will lose the phone for awhile. The Student wanted to start trouble. She should be Punished as would any other Student.

This was NOT a Racist issue. This Officer would have done this to any other Student. The Officer should NOT be allowed to work Schools anymore.

JMO...

I am not sure he would of done the same thing if the girl was white. since data shows that black people are committing most of the crime, I am thinking policemen are developing a hate for black people.

Here is the latest on the Student...

[Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said Tuesday that the deputy that made the arrest, Ben Fields, has been dating an African-American woman for "quite some time." He says that if that had any bearing on the arrest, it would have been in a positive way, not a negative one.

Parents are speaking out about a school resource officer captured on video pulling a female school student from her desk and dragging her across a classroom.

Connie Streater is the black mother of a fifth-grade student in the Richland 2 school system. She told the school board at a meeting Tuesday night that she thinks Senior Deputy Ben Fields was right to use force on the student but that he used too much.

Officials said the confrontation at Spring Valley School in Columbia happened Monday after the student refused the officer's order to leave the classroom for being disruptive.

Rebekah Woodford is the white parent of several Spring Valley graduates and one current student. She told board members that the issue isn't at all racial but is about parents and teachers learning how to deal with defiant students.]

This Student was being very Stubborn...We as parents know what that is like. The Parent should have been called and let take over. JMO

If that had happened to me, what the cops done wouldn't be half as bad as what my Dad would have done to me for disrupting the class and having no respect for authority. The cop did overact somewhat but these young people think
that they can do anything and get by with it. NOT MUCH UPBRINGING.

SORRY but I am sick and tired of blacks or whites showing their asses and making cops the villians..."I'd liked to have slapped the pee out of that BRAT myself...no respect,....I never been arrested, or violated any probation...like Alex said, I would have had a switch to my tail had I tried such a stunt and I really think Blacks want to cause trouble ""SO THEY CAN SUE SUESUE."" the cop didn't handle it right I grant you but Most of us can't stand a hell raiser..

Quote from luckylouie42:
if it wasn't for where I have gotten so lazy since I retired, I might go back to work. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG back to work, blot that from my mind.

I would not get out of bed,IF I DIDN'T PUSH MYSELF lOUIE...
and it gets harder everyday...BUT...when you give up
it probably would be the end of me...we all are getting
older and don't like to admit it but getting ""FEEBLE""
joints and muscles hurt...so that's why I roll out to do something everyday
we have no idea if we'll be here another day
