He grew up with Disney--What do you expect for a Floridian--and very supporting parents to who he was? You see, I see it much deeper right now in this group. I see it as people who really do not like one another--Who have hurt from things from the past. I know, so silly for just the internet--I would not let anyone bring me down if I had never met them in person--or cared for who they are. Just like blocking--I am one who has only blocked a few--and that is only for time-outs. You act like a child --I treat you as one. I believe it runs much deeper-I am not privy to the underground gossip--I am like you--say it as it is. I say let it go-- Let the past be the past--and lets all start new. Even Miss Cup--Who has blocked me--and unblocked me many times. I wonder if she thinks I have multiple profiles. You state the obvious Peeps, yep, you and I go wayyyy back. There are many folks in this group that I dislike. Never have met them, don't care to. One of the very few that I do respect is Trisha. A woman with a caring heart and who has ALWAYS been that way. A woman who understands I don't take crap off of folks but also knows I am not hateful unless I have a reason to be. I am a lucky woman to have her friendship. As she has mine. When a person lets the opinion of total strangers bring them down then they probably shouldn't be on the internet. Because hard feelings will happen. Folks get brave from behind those monitors. Spread rumors without knowing, judging with a narrow mind and quick to point out someone elses flaws. And then you have those who block someone but yet continue to badmouth that person knowing they can't see. To me that has always been pretty low and the telling of the person doing so. Never has been my style. But if a person comes after me, be it to my face or behind my back, then no forgiveness from me. They best have their big girl panties on because I WILL answer. Sounds like you found a church that is what they were meant to be. Non-judgemental.

In the early days of this group, I mean like 5 or 6 years ago, we actually had serious topics. We had a lot of fun threads also. And I don't mean the silly, redundant word games. And yes, always the Music. BUT now it is what it is, 8 0r 10 members who post on a daily basis. And you notice the type of threads that keep pulled to the forefront. BORING!!! Can't blame folks who want something a little more substantial for moving on to greener pastures. I am not ready to sit on the porch with this group. By the way, congratulations to your son.

I do believe in God--but not the judgmental vengeful God that many embrace and speak hatred through. Respect, that is part of what my life has been. Respecting myself--as a person--and respecting those that believe different than I do. I have always been one to believe--we are all different but we all bleed--and we all hurt just the same. The topic may have been posted a million times to those who have been here for a while, but not for them. They don't always understand that some of us are joking. A little more welcoming would be nice and clearer understandings for them. (This excludes people pretending to be new.) I am friendly to all who are friendly to me but I avoid people that intentionally hurt another especially when they are struggling. Like the saying goes, "don't kick a man when he is down". To taunt someone after a major crisis is not okay and unforgivable. I can forgive for personal growth but I never forget. I could never be friendly to them but I can be civil. I found it hard to be around people who try to control who I can be friendly to. I could not even have guy friends without someone getting jealous or feeling threatened even though they have never met. This is all silly and unnecessary to me. The fake flirting, acting, is very difficult for me. I rather play the games than pretend to be someone I'm not. It would be nice if others stopped creating fake profiles just to be used to attack someone. I am even okay if they created fakes but posted respectfully.

heart_and_soul3 Sarasota, FL 59, joined Aug. 2014	@ Nat--I have no problem with people sticking to their beliefs--Also, hatred may have been a strong word--My son does not believe a church should be made to perform a marriage ceremony--But, he does feel that all should have the opportunity to have the same civil rights. He went to New York to have his civil union performed. It is not legal in Florida--But, it is federally and he will now get the same tax write-offs as all married couples do. We have small groups in which people testify of how church has accepted them for who they are. Just as Jesus accepted those that were cast away by society--the church I attend does too. Jesus is forgiving--sorta what I was trying to touch on in this thread. @ Sorp--I do not do Facebook--except with family and friends in my "real" world. @ Zoe--You have the right to be friends with whomever you chose to. @ Laff--Group sex--Maybe that is the problem--None of us are getting any-- Actually, my purpose for this thread was trying to have people to get along. Let things go from the past--Once upon a time--I would laugh my booty off in this group at some of the things posted--Now it is a Ghost Town.

sorpstar Little River, SC 64, joined Oct. 2009	Heart i hear ya...i dont do fb myself except with people i grew up with but lately they know what's up with me...a long time ago i began many jokes on threads here back in 2007 and 2008 like you had supported music but people here seem to have moods. ..some good ones, some not so i moved mainly to joke forums even blogs where people of all ages read them or post some on haiku or on some threads . It is sad many moved to 60s or deleted or go on fb and set in...i go there occasionally to 60s but taking away the music and videos was a way to express my sense of humor and now they dwarfed me as they have you. What i written on previous posts was my opinions of how things run around here and i stay here because I'm use to my pace and diverse posting in other areas...but a true fact and it's the same in the real world if your mind is closed you cant train an old dog new tricks ...as we age it's the same. Btw there was always someone tryin to recruit newbies and when people stood long enough they learnt themselves what went on here. Many have thin skin or bandwagon behind the queen bee a word used here in the past but the major reason why people stay is for friendships made but to me it's their only way to communicate as they age It's the last stage before nursing homes...even the free beer on thirsty thursdays failed too...jmo

I find faith more spiritual than I did in the past. I do think that most religions have a core belief, to love, look after and respect all living things including oneself.
