Star, do you realize that you are worth your weight in gold? They say that to keep the happy endorphins (how ever you spell that word) that one must laugh. You certainly keep me laughing. Another 4 hour sleep night, but not tired nor lack of energy. Have no clue as to what is causing me to do this, but my doctor perscribed a serious medication because I have some lymph nodes that wanted to clog and swell since the spider bite so this med is supposed to be the cure. It worked on the lymph nodes, but also seems to be cutting into my sleep.

My father had a very dry sense of humor and didn't say a lot, but when he did it would hit you as funny enough to laugh every time it crossed your mind. My mother was the more serious of the two and she always told him that people would have to get up before daylight to get ahead of him. Perhaps I inherited that trait and I'm up before daylight.

So.....if you are waiting to be messed with, consider it done.

Trisha, is the popcorn sprinkled with powdered cheddar? Orville Redenbocker used to have a chedder popcorn but it was with a liquid cheddar and I loved it. They stopped making it and started the powder cheddar.

Trying to wind down for bedtime. Had a long and busy day and have to be at the dentist office early in the morning. If luck is with me, it will be my final visit. Since it is another early appointment I will have the remainder of the day to plunder the thrift shops and perhaps haunt a few stores that I normally don't make the hours drive to shop.

Star, you could say they did make me walk the plank. I am fortunate that the University of KY is within 25 miles of my house. The city is mid-sized but with the university the population is large and the city has spread out all over the place. Once one realizes the roads and streets are laid out in the wagon wheel design, it isn't that hard to manouver except the traffic around the university is terrible.

Since the University of KY is a medical school, many students are studying to become doctors, nurses, dentist, and most everything else related to the medical profession. They also have a large hospital which is a state enterprise. Along with the medical training they also have facilities for all types of care. They have a renown dental school and since my physicians are with the UK medical center, I opted to use the dental school for the care of my oral needs. The problem with my teeth is they were not bad, but the bone loss due to some treatments that I had to endure in 2002 caused bone loss and naturally it affected my mouth. So, over the years the bone loss was causing my teeth to react. Last year I had three to start becoming mobile. They weren't loose enough to wiggle around, but they moved a tiny bit and would not tighten up. This was getting aggrivating and working with them was no good because instead of them tightening back up, another started to wiggle. It went beyond my patience when one of my upper front teeth became loose. I was NOT going to put anymore money in these teeth and then end up loosing one of my front teeth. Absolutely no way was I running around without my front teeth and should I have put more money in trying to get that straightend out I was subject to have to deal with the next one.

SO....opted to have them extracted and get rid of the ordeal. Had already thrown too much into it and wasn't going to keep chasing it with throwing more, then still have to have the extractions. So opted for the extractions and dentures. I'll tell you right now that dentures are not the easiest thing to get used to. Feels like some foreign object (which they are) in your mouth that you have to manouver food around while eating to prevent the teeth from feeling like ice cubes rolling around in your mouth while it's full of food. LOL.

So....been in this project since May of last year. Long process through the dental clinic but given the absolute best care and have the contact with many experts in the dental division. Since they are a school, there are many dentist on hand as instructors and believe me they know what they are doing. If you get into this depth of denistry as a patient you only have the students who are completing their last year before graduation. The students work under a dental instructor and most of the dentist have a long history of private dental office. So...great care and plenty of attention.

The great thing about the dental school is the prices are one third the cost of a private dentist. You wouldn't believe the discounted prices. I am very happy, but still having to accustom myself to these things in my mouth.

Wondering about a news flash that is very disturbing (at least at the moment). Former daughter-in-law is a flight nurse. Not sure if she has been on duty the past 24 hours, but the news flash just announced a medical helicopter crash with 3 on board that is within the territory that she works. They didn't give details as yet except those on board were transported to the hospital. Sure hope she wasn't on board because if something happened to her my grandson would never recover. He and his mother are very close and regardless of the situation she is perfect in his eyes. Most times I enjoy knowing that he cares so much for her but then have fear that with her job things could go all wrong.

Since the news flash about the med vac crash I have learned the area that it went down is at the diving line of my daughter-in-laws territory and the helicopter is out of another hospital. WHEW
