I like heat more than cold. I listened to the news last eve and gal said what a nice day it was. Perfect for shooting some hoops or sitting on the Monona terrace and enjoying the lake. I replied..how about working your a** off!!!

Nope, not getting wet. Heck I'm wrinkled enough. Can't afford to shrink. Already five feet 3 inches tall and can't find shoes of size 6 1/2 any longer. Would be able to wear shorts for long pants if I didn't know how to hem my jeans. NOPE, can't get wet.

I have a cat who talks. I swear!!! I was sitting on the steps brushing off dirt. I hear a thud or clang and look towards the bathtub pool. The one female cat, Two Spot..she is the one I swear is ADHD like me...trots across and behind me. I said Two Spot,what did you do. And she meowed two times and I SWEAR it sounded like Noth-ing! I just said dont tell me nothing cause I heard it!

Orz, you and I are suffering from a long winter and cabin fever. I can say the same thing about my little house dog. I swear she's so intelligent that even after 10 years with me I'm still surprised sometimes at her ability to understand what I'm saying. She is not what they are now labeling as designer breed (meaning cross breed or Heinze 57 mix). She is just a short legged, chunky body Rat Terrier. She also needs the sunshine to recharge her batteries. When there is a beam shining through the window she will stretch out in it and move as it does. I have been taking her with me on short trips now that it's not too cold to leave in the vehicle. She has learned that when going through the drive thru at the bank that it means dog biscuit for her. Will set up in the seat on her behind just so they will certainly see her. Yesterday she was with me and I drove thru the Dairy Queen for a strawberry shake and the girl asked if she could have a doggie cup. She handed a small cup of soft ice cream which is a favorite treat. NOW....won't be able to go through any drive thru because she's going to think ICE CREAM.

I still cry over losing my Slither gal. And remember how smart she was and all she did for me and with me. The relationship between dogs and humans is mind blowing. Why does an animal form such a companionship with another two legger? I wonder sometimes if some of her electricals didnt get reborn in one of the toms..Butch. He acts more like a dog than cat. Follows me everywhere and knows when it is time to lock up the barn.
I was petting, or trying to, my tenants two dogs the other day. Both are under 2 and are pure bred Springer Spaniels. And as most pure bred..air heads. And even though my heart breaks when I see a black lab..I couldnt get any enthusiasm for them. They are just...dogs!
I have always raised good companions. And try to remember no other dog would be her. Maybe good...but different.
