Instead you're working side by side doing something neither of you really wants to do but you know you have to and you look over at him and the concentration on his face and his body straining and it just hits you how really wonderful he is and how really hard he works for the two of you and you just want him right then and you don't want to waste time with all that admittedly nice extra stuff.

Barry and I are doing some "nesting " projects...right now we are painting, the whole house, (interior) Poor guy left the aesthetic decisions up to me and I didn't realize how sorely I was testing him until this past weekend when I finally made color choices for the paint. Hadn't planned on actually painting until this coming weekend but he really wanted to "get paint on at least one room" so we did. While we were in there making equal parts mess and progress, laughing and sweating he indicated he was considering medicating me because there must surely be something wrong with a person who takes this long to choose paint colors.

I have done meaningless sex before with my ex after we broke up. It felt good (as sex does) but was emotionally disturbing Its very different from sex in general when you actually love the person. I wouldnt do something like that unless it was with an ex because it's not worth it.
