During the middle ages , anyone to suggest that a beast was intelligent , would've been stoned to death , or worse . Even after religion lost its grip , the stigma remained , only a few would risk a scar on their prestigious , and precious social identity .
So now we know , that we didn't corner the market . How do we remedy it ?
By acting like animals .
We create societies governed by ,"survival of the fittest" , and then we wonder why the rest compete . I thought that we were the smartest .

We create societies to make hundreds , thousands , and billions one , then we put the top dogs on top , and the bottom dogs on the bottom . then we want to call the people on the bottom the animals.
If you want to believe in something , then believe in what you've got , believe in what you've created , believe in your ignorance .

And I query, again -- If GOD were not 'of the physical realm' why did he create & form MAN in HIS own image with "flesh"
I guess nonstandard didn't see my post.
So, shall we refer to my query, again?

A lot of silly things are said about the Middle Ages by people who know next to nothing about that period. Nonstandard, I would like you to give us an example of one---just one ---person who was stoned or executed for saying that beasts could be intelligent.

The reason why people do not always obey God is not because He is not physical. Actually, He is physical---He became physical when He became Incarnate as Jesus Christ. People do not always obey God because people have free will.
Every animal ever born has free will , its not a gift from god , its a gift from a universe , that for reasons we may never understand , wanted to create advanced forms of life .

I really don't think they stoned anybody in the Middle Ages, but the Inquisition was not so petty that it worried about people claiming anumals had intelligence.
I'll say it---animals have intelligence. If I get a letter of ex-communication for this, I'll send you $100.

Everything acts , and behaves . A plant does'nt need a brain , its filled with cells that will tell it how to act , and behave .
Complex organisms are free to roam , but they cant live off of water , and sunshine .
They need a brain . The very first belief , is to believe that they're the most important thing in the universe .
Its is neccesary for survival , nothing could live without it , but its a belief that is not true .

Matthew 6:5-15King James Version (KJV)
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

It all sounds great, except for the fact that our pledge wasn’t written until until 1892. Yes, you read that correctly, our Pledge of Allegiance was written a full 116 years after the Revolutionary War and Declaration of Independence.
Not only that, but the phrase “Under God” wasn’t even in the original text of our pledge:
“I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
And it gets better. The author of our pledge was Francis Bellamy – a Christian socialist. He stood for workers rights and believed in an equal distribution of economic resources. He believed in the nationalization of certain industries, because he feared their manipulation and corruption in the hands of a private sector which would put profits before people.
So a Christian, a minister at that, wrote the pledge – yet didn’t include the word “God” or “Christian” – and he was a socialist.
In 1923, more text was added to our pledge:
“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
So, 31 years after its origination, our pledge still didn’t contain the phrase “under God.”
In fact, it wasn’t until 1954 that the phrase “under God” was actually added to our pledge, in a response to the threat of communism.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
So it wasn’t until 62 years after its creation that “under God” was added to our pledge.
Then let’s not forget that the only reference to religion in our Bill of Rights is in our First Amendment, which states:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
The word Christianity doesn’t appear even once in our Constitution.
So when these people proudly boast about our nation being a “Christian nation” or that we were a nation founded “under God,” they don't know the true facts.
The more they press the issue, the more they say liberals are simply making all of this up, the more they continue to insist this country was founded on Christianity and use our currency or pledge as proof…
The more they display their ignorance of our history and prove that they would rather believe a lie than know the truth.

Not to be ignorant, or anything, but:
My grandmother's younger sister was born in 1917.
My great-aunt had discussion about the Pledge of Allegiance after she heard me teaching my young daughter to recite the pledge when she was in kindergarten.
When I got to the "under God" part, my great-aunt, who had been, silently, following along, interrupted me and said, "That wasn't in there when I went to school."
After my session with my daughter, my great-aunt and I had a lengthy discussion about the Pledge of Allegiance.
My great-aunt said that the man (Bellamy) who wrote it was a flag salesman and to get schools to buy more flags he made up the pledge to go with a flag sale. Well, soon, the US was having a national celebration and the government adopted Bellamy's pledge to be a standard in saluting the flag (country).
After, the war with Germany, it was brought to the attention of government officials that Bellamy's pledge closely resembled the "Hiel Hilter" salute and the government enacted a change to the pledge by adding the "under God" wording.
Bellamy was a Christian socialist and the American democracy did not want to be associated with socialism, especially after the war with Germany.
***
As far as making pledges (oaths of alliegence) to America it was a prescedence which had been initiated prior to the Revolutionary War.
One may research the various pledges (oaths) which has occurred in America but the one holding the worst historical rememberance was the Tories refusing to support America during the Revolutionary War.
Bringing religion into the issue: many groups refused to "pledge an oath" to anything -- research religious refusal of the Quaker faith, many of whom were persecuted for their religious beliefs.
...and that's some more of the story..

We all have to die one day, unless we are still alive when Jesus returns. Those who drowned in the Great Flood just died a little sooner, that's all.
Speaking of floods, it looks like Hurticane Hermine missed my home town just barely. Let us not forget to pray for the victims, living and deceased.

I ask because "God bless America" has become trite, something people mindlessly say.
