~ Orz ... Holy Cow that was some strong brew!!! 
~ Everything is wet, green and cloudy. Had a severe thunderstorm come through last night. About 9:15 the power went out and power wasn't returned till around 1:40am. I turned in early and awoke around 11:30 because it had finally gotten hot.  The rain had stopped so I opened the window and that did help. When the power came on the TV was all static and lights came on. So I got up to turn everything off. But then couldn't go back to sleep. Ended up getting up and turned on the TV and watched cooking shows. Got some good ideas!!
~ Mid 80's is the high they are calling for today, right now it's 75*. 
~ At some point today I'll need to go run errands which includes a trip to the grocery store and get my hair trimmed. Glad it won't be too hot to do my running around. 
Coffee is on .... Lord knows I need it this morning.

Good morning and wishing you a great Taco Tuesday. Hoping my day starts better than yesterday. Decided to do a little shopping and mostly running around. Backed the vehicle out of the garage and the guage said "check tire pressure". Had that warning on it when I drove it Saturday. Vehicle had sat for a week while I was camping. Brought it home after the accident of the truck hitting the pedestrian walkway and parked for a week.
Decided since I had added air to tire on Saturday and two days later caution light on again that I needed it checked. YEP, shrapnel in the tire. Guess I didn't completely get away from that mess without damage, but at least it was nothing compared to what it could have been. Could go to the police station for a report and turn the charges in to the company that owns the truck but still wondering if it would be worth the effort. Probably not.
Plans for this PM are to go to the movie for "Sully". Hearing that it is a very good movie.

Yep, Sometime today I'll be heading out for a couple (or three) Tacos. Seems my garden tractor needs some work on it before my grass turns into a jungle. The one spot that I have gone over for years decided to grab my lawnmower blade (manhole cover)!!!
Oh yeah busted the spindle completely off of the deck!
That cost me 60 bucks - May need a blade too (20 bucks)

80 and sunny today..only! The light on my car is always on for low tire. It has to be reset. checked on the manual...use light in trunk I cant find. Internet says turn on and off. I just ignore it..sigh.
For sure...insurance deductible probably higher than a tire. Nice to see someone else who remembers Taco Tuesday. lol.

~ 72* outside and the house seems hotter than that even though I did sleep with some opened or cracked windows. I do have a fan by the window but it’s not cutting it, probably because it’s really muggy this a.m. no air movement outside. Calling for a high of only 81* and showers later today.
~ Was out running errands yesterday and I noticed some leaves on some younger trees are turning. I'm looking forward to fall setting in.

Wednesday and woke this AM with the wander lust. Suppose it's that I'm not ready to call an end to vacation of last week. No place or thing in mind to do but certainly don't wish to be home today.
Went to the movie to see "Sully". It started on a strange note that took a little while to understand but then when the real story started it was a good movie. Was over before it felt like I'd sat there an hour and half. The actors were picked to be almost spot on with the real people, even the passengers on the plane. There are actual pictures of the real incident during the credits and almost everyone stayed until it came to a complete end. One couple left the theatre as soon as the movie was over then came back to see the credits. I won't say it will be up for a dozen awards but was a very clean movie. Not sure that I heard even the word damn in it. Of course since Clint Eastwood has his name attached it had to be a decent story.

~ Sankie ... I would like to see that movie also. I appreciate you sharing your take on it. That truly is an incredible story and just amazing the fact they didn't all parish.
~ They are calling for a high of only 80* today, rain expected later in the afternoon. It's cloudy and muggy so the current 71* doesn't feel comfortable but the air feels thick and dense.

~ So sad  ........ my childhood friend just lost her husband. They were married only 2 years and 7 months. But they had known one another for 20 something odd years. He ask her to marry him at one of the worst times in her life. When she was sick and needed a lung transplant. Which she did get and he nursed her through it all. He just this month moved them closer to their children and grandchildren. They didn't move sooner because of her recovery of the new lung and staying close to her Dr's. A place to have the grandchildren over to play etc.. A new chapter on their life. My heart is breaking for her.
I am so thankful though that they did have the opportunity to live and love completely in that short time. I had lunch with her when I was in SA in July and she was bubbling over in love and joy in her marriage. Hurts.

Good Morning to all. Bracing for another 90 degree day but is to start changing sometime tonight then by Wednesday about 45 for a night or two and 70 for days. Time to put away the shorts and get out the sweat pants. Also the time of year when you have both hanging side by side so you can be ready for which ever it is.

Something like being asked about a particular female that was built like a brick outhouse, and his comment was "well, that would make my putter flutter". Can't remember the entire story but always rememberd the answer given.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood - heading to 78 and sunny.
It's amazing how much TV has changed, seems like nothing is sacred anymore! Blood & gore, and plenty more... I noticed on Hollywood squares, (years ago) they would throw a zinger in there every once in awhile - My how the times have changed!
When Dylan sang the song "the times are a changing" I wonder if he knew just how much (I doubt it)

Felt a bit more than nippy in the PM yesterday. Just one of those days where you couldn't adjust to the sudden drop in temperature. Not complaining though, could dig out the sweat pants and warm shirt. Heck in a couple months this will be summer. Very dense fog this morning and to the point it's dripping off everything. The predicted rain spiraled around us and created a dry donut hole about 20 miles wide. It would have been a very chilly rain but is certainly needed right now.

I get my truck back from service today, they needed 3 days for this rutine service Had to cook something for many hours & also get a part that would shut off the motor light. I still love this truck

~ Beginning to think my poor o'2000 Silverado is neglected. My daughters bf who is a senior Mercedes mechanic did check it all out for me last summer. Did a break job and a few other minor things and said I was good to go. It has 175,000 miles on it. Have had a few issues with it but overall I can't complain. (y)
