~ From what I can see on FB, so far they have only a dusting of snow but some anticipated ice? Lame compared to you diehards but as y'all know the south just isn't prepared for it. We did have temp of 21* this morning here in Tx.

Yes sheza, I was trying to keep up with whom was getting what. Seems where I am from and where the family still reside, will be using the shovels today!
Here, It's down to 45. The winds blowing making it feel in the 30's. My windows are covered in that fogginess making it appear like a true winter day (like I remember) frostie!
I have been watching all the reporting on the shooting at the Ft.Lauderdale airport. Praying all of those injured get to go home soon. And too, thinking of those that did not make it.
The eaglecam is still filming Harriet and M15 (male). The eaglet E9 is beautiful and growing. The second egg never hatched and was still being sat on as of last night. I missed the feeding this am and the transfer of parents so I am not sure if the egg has been removed as of this am or not.
I am thinking of all of you who have been reporting the low temps.

Good morning. Woke early and hot coffee is the thing this morning. I believe if you tossed a cup through the air it would be coffee cycles by the time it hit the ground. So, my agenda today is to wait it out and think the 30 degree temperature for tomorrow will be a heat wave.

We're havin a heat wave, etc...up to 10 above and sunny. Last 3 dog night I think. for awhile anyway. Buffalo is on bed so takes the place of the dogs. Cats are more into the bird/cat feeder than staying inside. Except of course for the delicate Indigo and her lardo brother Tumbler. lol.

Good morning and ABOVE FREEZING. The wind is coming from the south and cerainly pushing the cold out of here. Now, if it doesn't blow us into the next county. Was above freezing early this morning and can hear snow melt dripping in the downspout.

Glad it goes smooth gal! It has been pouring rain. And the woodshed arbor is running with slush so bucketed. Drive ways are ice so salted the upper. Fed the birds but no show. 40 today and then drops and winds rise. Schools out by noon or 1 around here. Snow up north of the Dells and may get some here. I wrote Joe and said the way the weather looks this week, safer to stay home. sigh...

Star, how's the weather this morning. With it being weekend it's hard to get decent news so sketchy on the ice storm. The radar certainly looks like it's hanging heavy. We dodged the bullet on this one and it's laying north of here and not wanting anyone to experience this, but so glad it isn't one that we have to deal with. Time will come when we have to pay the fiddler, but so far we have warmer temperatures and plenty of rain.

I suppose if one has cable or satelitte TV they are getting better coverage of the ice storm, but news is sketchy otherwise. Looks like it passed through Ohio yesterday but haven't heard how bad it is.

Just came back from the ocean. Temps at 77 now and sunny ..waves meant business! We all caught one fish. Doesn't matter ...it was breath taking out there.
Had to take 2 aleve though. My butt won't feel so broken soon as they kick in
Eagle Cam down for 2 days. E9 is 15 days old today. Non viable egg was still in nest but kinda being ignored. Hope the hell they fix the cameras today cause I am starting to have withdrawals
Have a great afternoon....Will be watching Dallas and Green Bay this afternoon, enjoy them both!

I did. Fuzz had to go in, called at 5:30 am. Manager in Madison couldn't get out his drive due to ice. Roads to Dells were good, but Taco parking lot was glare ice a quarter inch. Fuzz took the rolling trash can out by pushing it ahead and skating behind. I got as much ice here as someone tossing a glassful over the deck. Spread out and melted already at 32. Guess Joe must have gotten iced according to Fuzz' manager.

Thinking of all who are socked in with ice. It's not just the ice on everything, it's when the power lines and trees start to snap that creates the big issue for people. Then, regardless of the road conditions, some employers will fire your butt in a heartbeat if you're not at work, thus taking your life in your hands just to try to get there.

36 and melting. slllooooowwwwlllllyyyy! Steps that had snow, now inch of ice. Driveways were snow/ice. Now covered with water to slick glare ice. Fuzz slide on steps trying to get to work and canceled. I have seen ice skating hockey rinks that have rougher ice than driveways. At least I didnt get the ice on trees. It rained mostly. But then froze on surfaces. One 4 lane between the Dells and city is shown in black and basically closed to traffic. But, fun listening to scanner. May tell Joe to not try to come tomorrow unless he wants to park in the end of drives and walk around the field to get to the house. No way he can make it up the driveway. Even under canopy the water off the pergola is icing under it. Boy do I like my dogtrot to the barn! Spent a half hour yesterday at barn to get pump room door open and sidewalk cleared.

~ Good wet morning from San Antonio! A lot of rain with temps low of 50* high of 61-64*. Not much on the radar of activity today. I got a pinch in my back last Thursday and it's really slowed me down. I'm such a gimp right now. It will pass, till then I just chug along.

It is high 30s and cloudy, foggy and raining. I hope all this blasted ice goes to hell! I really need to figure out leaks in the woodshed. Why do we put flat roofs on so they leak like a sieve.

Getting a new start on life? It will be a high near 50. So foggy birds are flying into each other. With luck all the blasted snow and ice will be gone. I need to walk down the drive to the road. I have this need to whittle and the only basswood tree to hack a branch off easy is by the end of the paddock.

Huh? Who? Me? Cable modem died and then Amazon Prime lost the replacement that had "1 day shipping" on it. So they sent another and then UPS found the first one. So I have 2 new cable modems. I wonder if'n my piece-o-crap- Comcast internet will be twice as fast?????
Amazon refunded me for the one modem, told me to keep it if it shows up, refunded all my shipping and extended my Prime membership an extra month.
