Quote from clarity101:

The top is a leader...
The bottom is a...ah. ...um......an ass.

President Trump upon arriving in Saudi Arabia on Saturday did not bow to the Gulf leader as former President Barack Obama appeared to do -- a move interpreted as American weakness.

In 2009, Obama appeared to bow to then-Saudi leader King Abdullah at a G-20 summit in London.

Videos show Obama bending at the waist toward the king. The White House at the time purportedly denied that the president had bowed, with a source saying Obama was taller than the king, so he had to lean.

Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia marks the start to his nine-day, overseas tour that will also take him to Israel and Europe. The international trip is Trump’s first since taking office in January.

Trump was greeted at the Saudi airport with an elaborate ceremony, punctuated by a military flyover and a handshake from Saudi King Salman.

First lady Melania Trump wore a black pantsuit with a golden belt and did not cover her head for the arrival, consistent with custom for foreign dignitaries visiting Saudi Arabia.

The 81-year-old King Salman greeted Trump at the airport. The two leaders exchanged pleasantries and Trump said it was "a great honor" to be there.

“Two things need to happen,” Zuhdi Jasser, founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, told Fox News on Saturday about Trump’s trip. “President Trump needs to shore up our alliance with the Sunnis who feel abandon, and that starts with Saudi Arabia. And in the short-term, he needs to create a coalition that will decimate and defeat ISIS.”

Obama critics said the former president suggested several times in 2009, just after getting elected, that the United States owed the Arab world an apology.

“There have been times when America has shown arrogance … even dismissiveness,” Obama said that year in France.

Upon Trump’s arrival Saturday, Several jets then flew overhead leaving a red, white and blue trail.

Saudi Arabia offered Trump the elaborate welcome ahead of his two-day stay. Billboards featuring images of Trump and the king dotted the highways of Riyadh, emblazoned with the motto "Together we prevail."

Trump's luxury hotel was bathed in red, white and blue lights and, at times, an image of the president's face.

Trump and the king met briefly in the airport terminal for a coffee ceremony before the president headed to his hotel before the day's other meetings.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Russian Embassy tweets meme connecting Hillary Clinton to Seth Rich’s murder
posted at 3:21 pm on May 19, 2017 by John Sexton

Friday morning the Russian embassy in the UK tweeted a meme suggesting Hillary Clinton was connected to the murder of Seth Rich. Here’s the tweet:
Russian Embassy, UK?Verified account @RussianEmbassy
#WikiLeaks informer Seth Rich murdered in US but ???? MSM was so busy accusing Russian hackers to take notice.

So, first of all, there’s the graphic. “Who killed Seth Rich?” is superimposed over the face of Hillary Clinton. Obviously, the suggestion being made is that Rich was murdered for the leak of DNC material which damaged Clinton. But it could also be taken as suggesting that Hillary herself ordered a hit on Rich.

Then there’s the text which states that Seth Rich was “#WikiLeaks informer….” That’s a claim that was recently made in two stories by Fox News. According to these stories, the FBI examined Rich’s computer after his death and found thousands of stolen DNC emails and proof that Rich was in contact with WikiLeaks.

Ed looked at those stories earlier this week and found them less than convincing. They require you to assume the FBI and the DC police are jointly participating in a cover-up of the real reason for Rich’s death. Shortly after Ed’s story went up, NBC News reported that two FBI agents denied the FBI had, or had ever examined, Rich’s computer:

Meanwhile, a current FBI official and a former one completely discount the Fox News claim that an FBI analysis of a computer belonging to Rich contained thousands of e-mails to and from WikiLeaks.

Local police in Washington, D.C., never even gave the FBI Rich’s laptop to analyze after his murder, according to the current FBI official.

And a former law enforcement official with first-hand knowledge of Rich’s laptop said the claim was incorrect. “It never contained any e-mails related to WikiLeaks, and the FBI never had it,” the person said.

Of course, that’s what they would say if they were part of a cover-up/conspiracy. But if that’s true then the family of Seth Rich must also be part of the conspiracy because they said none of this is true. It’s also worth noting that the investigator quoted in that initial Fox 5 story later told Newsweek he had never seen Rich’s laptop and had “nothing firsthand” about what was on it. All of that to say, there is good reason to believe Seth Rich was not the source of the DNC’s hacked emails.

So why is the Russian embassy tweeting this? One explanation is the one I raised back when Julian Assange first hinted that Seth Rich might have been his source. Russia and Assange were clearly not happy with being linked as source and distributor of the hacked emails from the DNC, DCCC, Podesta, etc. Assange prefers to claim he is independent, not the face of a Russian government cyber effort, and Russia has always denied that it played any role in the hacking.

Recall that shortly after our government began to publicly blame Russia for the hack last year, an online figure appeared calling himself Guccifer 2.0. Guccifer 2.0 claimed he (not Seth Rich) was behind all of this. Further investigation suggested Guccifer 2.0 was not a real person at all but a Russian propaganda effort created to take credit for something the Kremlin was denying involvement in.

So a week or so after doubts began to circulate about Guccifer 2.0, Assange pours gasoline on a conspiracy theory floating around on Reddit which says Seth Rich was the real source. He never really says it outright, but he suggests it could be true. Again, the result is that Assange maintains apparent distance from Russia and Russia has someone new to blame as it continues to deny responsibility for the hack. The fact that the Russian embassy is now pushing the same story Assange was last year shows they both prefer it to the alternative, i.e. that Russia hacked the DNC and gave the material to WikiLeaks.

President Trump’s Deputy NatSec Advisor Dina Powell Leaked to The New York Times
Mike Vance May 19, 2017

President Trump has put an emphasis on finding the leakers. Well this is a start. President Trump’s Deputy NatSec Advisor Dina Powell leaked to the New York Times.

New reports have confirmed that Dina Powell is leaking information to The New York Times White House Correspondent, Maggie Haberman.

Per GotNews:
Presidential Adviser Dina Habib Powell can’t stop betraying President Donald J. Trump by leaking to New York Times White House Correspondent Maggie Haberman, according to sources close to GotNews and patriot pundit Mike Cernovich.

Dina Habib Powell is only the latest national security threat in the White House GotNews has exposed. In February, we revealed Deputy Chief of Staff Katie Walsh as a White House leaker to the Times’s Haberman, resulting in Walsh’s firing.

On Tuesday, GotNews revealed Powell to be a leaker, and can now report Haberman received classified information from her.

Mike Cernovich has an interesting question about Maggie Haberman.
Mike Cernovich?@Cernovich

Why is a Trump staffer talking to a New York Times reporter who is described as "in the bag" for Hillary?
6:03 PM - 17 May 2017

More from GotNews:

In Jan. 2015, Hillary Clinton’s then press secretary, Nick Merrill, wrote that Haberman was crucial to “teeing up” yarns that propelled Hillary’s presidential candidacy while Haberman was at Politico.

An email from Merrill addressed to the Clinton inner circle—among emails from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta that WikiLeaks obtained—reads:

[W]e feel that it’s important to go with what is safe and what has worked in the past, and to a publication that will reach industry people for recruitment purposes.

We have has a very good relationship with Maggie Haberman of Politico over the last year. We have had her tee up stories for us before and have never been disappointed. While we should have a larger conversation in the near future about a broader strategy for reengaging the beat press that covers HRC [Hillary Rodham Clinton], for this we think we can achieve our objective and do the most shaping by going to Maggie.

Dina Powell has no business advising anyone on national security. In fact, according to the law, should be doing 10 years in prison.

Let’s not forget that Haberman works for The New York Times. The newspaper that has not endorsed a Republican presidential candidate in 60 years.

Great job by GotNews coming through on this story.

Trump should rescue 78-year-old Navy veteran that Obama put behind bars
By Former Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.), opinion contributor - 05/17/17 07:20 AM EDT

In February, President Trump signed an executive order revoking the notorious, unconstitutional expansion of the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority, otherwise known as the “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS) rules promulgated under President Obama in August 2015. Those rules interpreted the Clean Water Act to give the agency authority to regulate every puddle of water on every farm or ranch anywhere if that puddle had even the remotest, most minuscule “nexus” with any “navigable waterway,” no matter how minimal that possible runoff may be or how far away that potentially navigable stream might be.

A section of the president’s executive order instructed the EPA administrator and the attorney general to review all pending litigation under the WOTUS rules.

Unfortunately, that action can have no effect on Clean Water Act cases already prosecuted by the EPA, such as what happened to Joe Robertson in federal district court in Montana. Robertson was prosecuted and convicted of violating the Clean Water Act as interpreted by the EPA, the Army Corps of Engineers and an Obama-appointed U.S. attorney. Robertson is now halfway through an 18-month sentence in a federal facility in Lakewood, Colo. (The facility is located about five miles from my home, but I am unable to visit him because prison rules bar Robertson from having visitors he did not know before his conviction.)

Western rancher and 78-year-old Navy veteran Joseph David Robertson’s modest 200-acre ranch is located in the mountains behind Basin, Mont., off Interstate 15 between Butte and Boulder. The property is 60 miles from the Jefferson River, the nearest river that might be considered a “navigable waterway” under a generous definition of the term. Nevertheless, the EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers claimed he had polluted the waterway by dredging and constructing a couple of ponds near his home to be used mainly for local firefighting.

Those EPA “WOTUS” rules were controversial from the beginning when published in draft in 2014. Thirty-one states sued to block the rules when first proposed, and 13 states later tried to persuade the EPA to delay the final rule’s implementation in August 2015. Pacific Legal Foundation attorneys Todd Gaziano and M. Reed Hopper called the rules “more EPA Overreach” in an Aug. 3, 2015, Forbes report on the egregious federal power grab.

In June of 2015, the Nebraska attorney general put the matter in constitutional perspective, saying, “The EPA has redefined ‘waters of the U.S.’ in order to gain greater authority and power over private land.” Regrettably, the EPA proceeded to implement its notorious rules and then prosecuted landowners who ran afoul of the agency’s expansive interpretation of threats to clean water.

The EPA’s first effort at punishing Robertson ended in a hung jury, so Obama’s federal prosecutor moved the case to Missoula to get a conviction. Robertson had only an appointed public defender, who Robertson asserts provided an ineffective legal representation. For example, an independent expert analysis of the water runoff question done gratis by a retired EPA employee was barred from consideration as part of his sentencing report.

Robertson is attempting to appeal his conviction, but he is in poor health and his 18-month sentence likely would be completed before any appeal can be adjudicated. He may not survive long enough to see a higher federal court repudiate his unjust prosecution under an unconstitutional regulatory edict.

The decent and appropriate resolution for Joe Robertson’s unjust imprisonment caused by EPA arrogance is an immediate presidential commutation of his sentence to time served. He deserves a full pardon and an apology, but a commutation will at least give him his freedom.

I am writing to Attorney General Jeff Sessions to request an expedited review of the case and timely action to recommend a commutation by President Trump. I hope others will join me in seeking some small token of justice for Joe Robertson.

Tom Tancredo represented Colorado’s 6th Congressional District from 1999 to 2009.

you may decide you dislike me because of my politics, I'm so sorry for you.
I'm sorry that you shun the idea of the diversity of thought and opinion. I'm sorry that you're so intolerant and close minded that my views made you think less of me. I'm sorry that our cordial friendship wasn't more than a difference in ideas.

I know you claim to be a tolerant and open minded person, but obviously, only when it aligns straight up with your beliefs, ideas, thoughts and opinions.
I do have several folks blocked for various reasons, mostly because they are flat out mean, rude, disrespectful, and some because of their foul use of the english language. but I will never block, unfriend, or delete someone who just thinks differently than me. I'm sorry you did not feel you could do the same for me.

ps.....
this is not a rant at any one person in particular, but just a thoughtful rant at many in a
general way. im sorry to see our world growing more intolerant and less diverse. i love
our differences. that is part of what makes everyone of us unique in our own special way.

I'm assuming you are aware of the great divide in American politics these days. Ironically, the majority of the nastiness and animosity is coming from the "tolerant" and "inclusive" democrats.

CA Dem Chair: 'All Together Now: F*ck Donald Trump!' as Crowd Holds Up Two Middle Fingers
California – The classless Democrats gathered in Sacramento for a state convention on Saturday.
reports:

California’s elected Democrats had tough words for President Donald Trump and the GOP Congress on Saturday, urging their party’s fired-up activists to work against the 14 Republicans in the state’s congressional delegation.

The party’s leaders blasted Trump’s alleged ties to Russia and presented California as the epicenter of liberal resistance to the president.

“The world, literally the world, is counting on all of you, counting on California to reject Trump’s deception and destructiveness,” said Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is among a crowded field of Democrats running for governor next year.

U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, often mentioned as a potential candidate for president in 2020, accused Trump of putting “Russia first, America second.”

In a sign of the vigor of the party’s distaste for the president, outgoing party Chair John Burton, a longtime Democratic lawmaker and powerbroker known for his blunt and profane manner, extended two middle fingers in the air as the crowd cheered and joined him.

“F— Donald Trump,” he said.

Scientific Study: Journalists Are a Bunch of Drunks With Sub-Average Brain Function

Scientific Study: Journalists Are a Bunch of Drunks With Sub-Average Brain Function

In the wake of yesterday's more nuanced piece of press criticism, and in light of the Harvard study Lauretta wrote up earlier, it felt like a bit of trolling might be in order. If you missed her post, she highlighted the findings of a review conducted by researchers at the prominent Ivy League university regarding media coverage of President Trump's first 100 days in office. Unsurprisingly, Trump set a new record for negativity, with eight out of every ten stories about his administration framed in a negative manner. This far exceeded the hostility encountered by his three immediate predecessors -- especially Barack Obama, who was the only recent president upon whom the news media showered majority-positive coverage. Trump complained this week that he's been treated more unfairly than any politician in history.

Fans of the 44th president and detractors of the 45th president will insist that Obama deserved his glowing coverage, and Trump has earned every bit of press scorn thrown his way. I'd agree that a parade of unforced errors and stupid controversies from the very beginning made the media's job much easier, but I don't think 'the merits' fully account for the entirety of the enormous gap between the tone and content of Obama's coverage (+18) versus Trump's (-60). Most of the media is appalled by Trump and furious that he won; not only because they're pro-Democratic liberals (which most of them are), but because his victory blew apart their near-unanimous consensus that he had virtually no chance. Proving the Smart Set wrong angers the Smart Set. But are elite-level journalists really the Smart Set? They fancy themselves as such, of course, but The Science might tell a different story:

According to a study released Thursday by neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart in association with the London Press Club, the highest functions of the human brain operate at a lower level in journalists than the average population. Her research titled “Study Into The Mental Resilience of Journalists,” blames journalists’ cognitive shortcomings on dehydration caused by excessive alcohol consumption along with poor diet, including higher levels of sugar and caffeine. Less than 5% of journalists drink enough — or any — water while 41% drank more than 18 alcoholic drinks per week.

Fact check: Mostly true. Here's the full study, if you're interested. I'll leave you with this nugget from the Harvard study, highlighting a clear outlier among media outlets' treatment of Trump. Anyone could have guessed that Fox News would rank as the friendliest major news source for Trump, but I'd be surprised if people would also have figured that Fox's coverage was still slightly net-negative overall. For all the talk about FNC being "in the tank" for the new president, or the American version of "state television," this breakdown actually makes Fox look quite a bit more -- what's the phrase I'm searching for here? -- fair and balanced than the rest of the pack:

Liberal critics of both Fox and Trump would say that airing a roughly even split between positive and negative stories about this new president is evidence of bias because he's so obviously a disaster. But that viewpoint is also evidence of bias. By comparison, Fox's negative tone during President Obama's first 100 days was much heavier than that of the Obama-postive competition -- but it closely mirrored the rest of the media's take on Trump eight years later. I'll leave you with this critique from famed Watergate journalist Bob Woodward, who ironically uses a drinking analogy in chiding the press:

Paul Bedard?Verified account @SecretsBedard

Woodward: Reporters 'binge drinking the anti-Trump Kool-Aid' http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/article/2623582 via @dcexaminer
Veteran journalist Bob Woodward called on the national media Friday to keep focused on reporting straight news, after many reporters have revealed a bias against President Trump.

Friday on MSNBC, Woodward said he knows of too many reporters who have strayed from objectivity and shown an excessive hostility toward the White House.

"Stick to the reporting," he said. "Stick to the reporting. … One of the realities we have here is we have a good, old newspaper war going, the New York Times and the Washington Post and some very powerful stories. At the same time, I think it's time to dial back a little bit about because there are people around ... who are kind of binge drinking the anti-Trump Kool-Aid. And that is not going to work in journalism. Let the politicians have that binge drinking."

Protesters Show Up At Maxine Waters Home – “Impeach Maxine Waters” – VIDEO
Mike Vance Mike Vance May 19, 2017

Representative Maxine Waters has been calling for the impeachment of Donald Trump. When protesters show up at Maxine Waters home shouting “Impeach Maxine Waters” it is poetic justice.

Waters likes to paint he portrait that she is not upper class so she can relate with her voters more. Let’s not forget she lives in a $3 million mansion in Hanc*ck Park in Los Angeles. Something else to think about is that Hanc*ck Park is not in the district she represents.

Omar Navarro is one of the challengers for her spot in the upcoming election. Well, Omar is a man that takes massive action, as you will soon see. He staged a protest in front of Maxine Waters home. This was not your average protest. He brought a dozen of his angriest friends and a mariachi band. Yes, he took a freaking mariachi band to Maxine Waters home to protest.

Here are some pictures Omar posted on Twitter about the protest.

Omar Navarro who lives in the 43rd congressional district is running against Maxine Waters and kicked off the announcement of his campaign right outside of Waters' house. ( Protesters outside Maxine Waters' House) (Omar Navarro)

Omar Navarro lost to Maxine Waters in 2016, but he is prepping for a 2018 run. Here is something Navarro tweeted on Wednesday.....

Omar Navarro said, “Hashtag Impeach Maxine. See Maxine is talking about impeaching President Donald Trump and yet she doesn’t ask herself what about her? What about her not doing her job for 35 years?”

Maxine was asked if there was any evidence of collusion. Here is the clip from the interview.

Per Freedom Outpost:

“I think the president, if the president had fired [Comey] when he first came in, he would not have to be in a position now where he is trying to make up a story about why it does not meet the smell test,” Waters said.

“So if Hillary Clinton had won the White House, would you have recommended that she fire FBI Director James Comey?” asked Alexander.

“Well, let me tell you something, if she had won the White House, I believe that given what he did to her, and what he tried to do, she should have fired him,” she said. “Yes.”

“So she should have fired him but he shouldn’t have fired him? This is why I’m confused,” Alexander said.

“No, no you’re not confused,” she said, oblivious to the fact that she is the one who is confused.

Several of the protesters in front of Waters home spoke to KABC about waters.

“She is not representing her constituents, especially the black constituents,” said one of the protesters.

“She thinks by putting down our president, we’re going to like her more,” said another protester. “Every time she talks, she makes me want to throw up.”

Maxine Waters has been awful for a few different districts in California. All she does is expose the left and create gain for her self and her party. None of the people in California benefit from her actions and they are starting to figure it out.

Sweden Drops Effort To Arrest Assange On Rape Allegation

"... the only political prisoner in Western Europe."By Jack Davis
on May 19, 2017 at 8:22am

“Detained for 7 years without charge while my children grew up and my name was slandered. I do not forgive or forget,” Assange tweeted in his only public reaction to the move, which reduces but does not eliminate the legal issues facing him.

Assange has been living in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for about five years. Ecuador has granted him political asylum.

Although Per Samuelsson, a lawyer for Assange, called the step “a big victory” for Assange, he noted that Assange must still look over his shoulder if he leaves the confines of the embassy.

“The United States is chasing him. They have made that clear,” he said.

The United States has long expressed an interest in charging Assange for using WikiLeaks to disseminate highly classified information, even if he did not leak or steal it. One reason Assange gave for holing up on the embassy was that if he returned to Sweden, the United States would try to have him extradited.

Britain also has a charge pending against Assange, who failed to appear in court in 2012. British police said if Assange leaves his hideout, they would have to arrest him.

Juan Branco, one of Assange’s lawyers, said he may ask new French president Emmanuel Macron to intervene.

“We need a political intervention to make this situation end. (Assange) is the only political prisoner in Western Europe,” he said.

Marianne Ny, the chief prosecutor in Sweden, said Swedish authorities are not painting Assange as innocent as much as they are accepting the fact they are unlikely to get their hands on Assange, and therefore are dropping the European warrants against him.

Ny said if Assange enters Sweden before 2020, when the statue of limitations expires, he could be charged for the alleged rape.

'Greatest Show on Earth' takes its final bow after 146 years

By Gina Cherelus

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The clowns, animal acts and acrobats of the storied Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus are taking their final bow at an arena outside New York City on Sunday in the farewell performance of the "Greatest Show on Earth" after nearly 150 years.

Capping a legacy that stretches back to the legendary 19th century showman P.T. Barnum, the circus bids adieu at a series of shows this weekend at newly refurbished Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale on New York's Long Island.

The final show on Sunday evening was a sell-out and a worldwide audience can watch the event via a live stream on the Ringling website.

The finale, announced by parent Feld Entertainment Inc in January, comes a year after the company bowed to pressure from animal rights activists and agreed to stop using elephants in its performances. A featured attraction for more than a century, the elephants had come to symbolize the Ringling Bros brand.

Feld decided to fold up the tent as a result of high operating costs combined with lower ticket sales, it said in a statement at the time. After phasing out the elephants, the owner said, the decline in attendance was "greater than could have been anticipated."

Although it retired its elephants, Ringling Bros continued to showcase tigers, lions, horses, dogs and camels until the end, despite fierce criticism from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

The animal rights group tied Ringling's demise to its long-standing resistance to demands that it stop using animals.

"Circuses around the world that beat Ringling to the punch in making the decision to stop using animals are thriving. But Ringling stonewalled for decades," PETA said in a statement posted on its website on Saturday.

The circus has long defended its treatment of animals as humane.

"Our audiences today loved seeing horses, dogs and two very talented 700-pound pigs," Feld spokesman Stephen Payne said on Sunday.

In December, Ringling Bros named Kristen Michelle Wilson as the first female ringmaster in its 146-year history. In making her the 39th person to play the role of circus host, Feld said it was taking a step toward modernizing the circus.

The 13 Asian elephants used in Ringling's two touring companies were phased out and retired to the company's 200-acre (81 hectare) Center for Elephant Conservation in Polk City, Florida.

Fewer than 40,000 Asian elephants remain in the wild. About 250 are in captivity in the United States, 26 of which were born in the past 20 years at Ringling facilities.

Don't want to offend any suspects, do we?
Seattle Police Now Call Suspects 'Community Members'

In Seattle, Police Can No Longer Report 'Suspects,' They Have To Say 'Community Members'

I wish this was a joke, but it’s not. In Seattle, police can no longer use the term “suspect” for use of force reports. Instead, they have to write “community member.” Alas, we have political correctness now infesting law enforcement. Also, this isn’t new. KIRO 7 reported that the Washington’s Department of Corrections no longer calls prisoners inmates; they call them students (via KIRO 7):

When Seattle police officers write use of force reports they no longer call a suspect a suspect.

“Community member” is the new term. Several officers say the term is offensive, explaining their work with violent suspects.

Sources point to the suspect who shot three officers last month after a downtown Seattle armed robbery. When officers involved in that incident were writing their use of force reports they were required to refer to the shooter, Damarius Butts, as a “community member,” not a suspect, police sources said.

Police fatally shot Butts after they said he shot the officers.

“I think this is all in an effort to make sure our report writing sounds politically correct,” Seattle Police Officers' Guild Kevin Stuckey told KIRO 7.

[…]

Last fall, the Washington Department of Corrections stopped calling inmates “offenders” and instead use the term “student.”

“The term ‘offender’ does have a negative connotation and significantly impacts a broad group of people and communities,” Acting DOC Secretary D*ck Morgan wrote in an internal department memo, obtained by KIRO 7.

So, if you shoot people, you’re a community member on the run. If you’ve been tried, convicted of a crime, and sent to jail, you’re a student.

NOW President: Babies Wouldn’t Die So Much If We’d Just Kill Them Before They Died

National Matt Yonke May 14, 2014 | 1:17PM Washington, DC

National Organization for Women (NOW) president Terry O’Neill published an editorial on the Huffington Post today entitled, “Abortion, Like Contraception, Is Essential Health Care That Saves Lives.”

Let that sink in for a second. A procedure that’s taken over 50 million lives in the U.S. alone since 1973 . . . saves lives.
O’Neill’s “life saving” abortions

terry oneill How does O’Neill get to the conclusion promised in the title, that “abortion care” saves lives? Easy! She ignores 50% of the people involved in every abortion.

The first place she looks for saved lives from abortion is high infant mortality rates. They’d be so much lower if more of those pesky underprivileged women would just get more abortions. That’s right, her solution to high infant mortality rates is to kill the babies before they get the chance to die!

From the article (emphasis mine):

We have a premature birth crisis in this country that can be directly linked to our failure to provide adequate contraception and abortion care. About half of pregnancies in the U.S. each year are unintended, and for those women who carry their pregnancies to term (more than half do), the prognosis is anything but great. They not only experience higher rates of premature birth, but also are more likely to have inadequate prenatal care, low birth weight and small size infants, maternal depression and anxiety.

From a public health point of view, abortion care, no less than contraception, is an essential measure to prevent the heartbreak of infant mortality . . .

To avoid the “heartbreak of infant mortality,” we should just kill the infants before anyone starts keeping statistics about them.

Again, from the article (emphasis mine):

. . . as more states like Texas and North Carolina restrict access to abortion care, more women are dying in childbirth or pregnancy, and more infants are not surviving to their first birthday.

They’re not surviving to their first birthday because you didn’t even give them the chance to be born, Terry!

Killing the poor would be an efficient way to reduce poverty, disease, recidivism, and any number of other problems, except that it’s wrong to kill the people who have problems in order to solve problems!

O’Neill mentions maternal mortality, which I won’t address in detail because it’s never right to kill someone in order to solve your problems, and so abortion cannot be a solution to the problem of maternal mortality. But it should be noted that the data actually shows that direct abortion is never necessary to save a woman’s life.
The Myth of “Abortion Care”

But, at its heart, O’Neill’s piece is an attempt to make the phrase “abortion care” happen. Planned Parenthood and their ilk have been using the phrase for a while, though apparently not everyone is getting on board with this bit of Newspeak, or O’Neill’s piece would not have been necessary.

“Abortion care” is yet another attempt to shift focus off the human being who’s being killed in every single abortion procedure. Abortion can only be called “care” if you’re not thinking about the person who’s being dismembered.

But controlling the narrative is at least half the battle in a culture war, so it’s imperative that we who recognize the inherent value of the child in the womb combat their twisting of language.

Don’t let the phrase “abortion care” go by unchallenged if it’s used in your presence. All that’s required for a pernicious phrase like “abortion care” to slip into the American lexicon is for you and me to say nothing.

Ask about what care is being provided to the child. Show the images of abortion victims to “abortion care” advocates, and ask what kind of care they would call that. Ask how killing a child so it doesn’t die solves the problem of infant mortality.

But whatever you say, keep the focus on the child in the womb, whose life is an end in itself, not a tool to be used to fix statistics we don’t like.

Minnesota Democrats oppose bill protecting girls from Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) ?
Minnesota's female genital mutilation bill, aimed at ending the horrific practice, is…

Lawmakers in Minnesota have proposed a bill requiring stiff penalties for parents who perform female circumcision on their young daughters. It did, however, face opposition from one political party.

Female circumcision, or “cutting,” is more accurately known as female genital mutilation (FGM). It is a procedure where all or part of the genitalia is removed from an infant or young girl. Largely practiced in parts of Africa, Asia, and some parts of the Middle East, is an age-old Muslim custom performed to make a young woman marriageable. The procedure is done to ensure a woman will remain pure and therefore be desirable as a wife. The belief is that if a woman has no pleasure from sexual relations she will not be tempted to stray.
In a culture where marriage is everything for a woman, this is a deeply ingrained practice that will be difficult to stop.

Recently two American doctors performed FGM on young girls here in America. The acts horrified many Americans, who until than had been oblivious of the practice.
In response to the events, lawmakers in several states have been tightening up laws regarding the practice.

Most notably, Minnesota Representative Mary Franson introduced in the State House a female genital mutilation bill proposing stiff penalties for parents and practitioners of FGM.
The bill passed the House almost unanimously.

Prior to this bill, most laws simply outlawed FGM. Franson’s bill addresses the parents as well.

The bill penalizes parents by making it a felony for a parent, guardian or person legally responsible for a child to knowingly allow her to undergo FGM. The bill would also require mandatory reporting of suspected female genital mutilation by health care providers. The bill also adds the possibility of a child being taken into protective custody.
The female genital mutilation bill passed the House 124-4. The opposition was all Democrat.

Opposition to the bill cited concerns about pushing the families who practice FGM underground, or causing families distress.

this is one of the explanations ive heard.....

The globe is simply the "switch" to start the presentation in the new Global center for Combating extremist ideology in Riyad. The Inaugural ceremony Had them touch it in unison to start the film they all watched! It is a globe of the earth with land masses in black. It provides low light during the film. Has nothing to do with the occult.
Calm down people... The Calvary is here: The "orb" is a video and audio information collecting system. Watch anyone anywhere in the world in real time. And now the Saudi's have it too. There are other bigger systems like it around the world. Like in Langley and a couple otherS in the US. Google has one that they claim to h able to predict the future with. That's what all the video screens in the room are for. It's a $100B surveillance system. Like a "gods eye". Also on the massive screen monitor it display real-time online extremist activity while over 200 data analysts work on individual desktops nearby.......

seriously....
i cannot believe a man your age needs to be educated on such things
because many baby boys and up thru adolescence come down with penile infections and i know a couple of UNCIRCUMCISED adult males who got some pretty bad infections
and had to go through the process at the age of 40-50ish.....
took alot longer to heal. aids and other stds on the increase in UNCIRCUMCISED males....
DUH! not to mention.....an uncircumcised penis is just UGLY...imo

The use of circumcision for medical or health reasons is an issue that continues to be debated. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) found that the health benefits of newborn male circumcision outweigh the risks, but the benefits are not great enough to recommend universal newborn circumcision. The procedure may be recommended in older boys and men to treat phimosis (the inability to retract the foreskin) or to treat an infection of the penis.

here is some evidence that circumcision has health benefits, including:

A decreased risk of urinary tract infections.
A reduced risk of some sexually transmitted diseases in men.
Protection against penile cancer and a reduced risk of cervical cancer in female sex partners.
Prevention of balanitis (inflammation of the glans) and balanoposthitis (inflammation of the glans and foreskin).
Prevention of phimosis (the inability to retract the foreskin) and paraphimosis (the inability to return the foreskin to its original location).

Circumcision also makes it easier to keep the end of the penis clean.

Note: Some studies show that good hygiene can help prevent certain problems with the penis, including infections and swelling, even if the penis is not circumcised. In addition, using a condom during sex will help prevent STDs and other infections.

Like any surgical procedure, there are risks associated with circumcision. However, this risk is low. Problems associated with circumcision include:

Pain
Risk of bleeding and infection at the site of the circumcision
Irritation of the glans
Increased risk of meatitis (inflammation of the opening of the penis)
Risk of injury to the penis

thanks anna! i did not know what it was called, but i know it is very common and more so
the older they are. and on the increase because of uninformed ignorant people that call
it 'mutilation'

Balanitis
Inflammation of the foreskin and head of the penis.
More than 200,000 US cases per year
Treatable by a medical professional
Requires a medical diagnosis
Lab tests or imaging not required
Short-term: resolves within days to weeks
Balanitis is most common in uncircumcised men. Causes include skin disorders, infection, poor hygiene, uncontrolled diabetes, and harsh soaps.
Symptoms include pain, redness, and a foul-smelling discharge from under the foreskin.
Treatment depends on the cause, but may require antibiotics, steroid creams, or antifungal creams. In extreme cases, the foreskin may need to be removed (circumcision).

Inflammation has many possible causes, including irritation by environmental substances, physical trauma, and infection such as bacterial, viral, or fungal.[6][7] Some of these infections are sexually transmitted diseases.

It is less common among people who are circumcised as in many cases the foreskin contributes to the disease.[3] Both not enough cleaning and too much cleaning can cause problems.[3] Diabetes can make balanitis more likely, especially if the blood sugar is poorly controlled.

Balanitis "is a common condition affecting 11% of adult men seen in urology clinics and 3% of children" in the United States; globally balanitis "may occur in up to 3% of uncircumcised males".[15]

Michelle Obama Breaks Church Rules and Enters Siena Cathedral with Tacky Open Shoulder Top

Jim Hoft May 23rd, 2017 6:45 am
Rules are for the little people.

Barack and Michelle Obama are vacationing in Sienna, Tuscany this week.
The two arrived in Italy on Friday.

Michelle Obama wore a classless shoulder-bearing top and khaki pants.

The UK Daily Mail said she looked “especially glamorous.”
The commenters at The Daily Mail strongly disagreed saying her choice was “not appropriate” and it “looks like a napkin.”

Barack and Michelle Obama were visiting the Duomo di Siena – the Sienna Cathedral.

Michelle broke the dress code. Women are required to cover their shoulders when entering the historic Catholic cathedral

But not Michelle Obama. She’s above all that.

Turkish man arrested after fighter jets escort American Airlines plane to Honolulu

Fighter jets escorted an American Airlines flight on its way to Honolulu on Friday after a disturbance aboard the aircraft.

Initial reports suggested a man tried to break into the c*ckpit, but passengers on the flight said he was blocked by a flight attendant before entering the first-class cabin.

The man was subdued by the crew member and passengers, who duct-taped him to a seat in the back of the plane. Federal law enforcement officials detained the man after the plane landed at Honolulu International Airport at 11:35 a.m. local time. No injuries were reported.

The man, 25-year-old Anil Uskanil of Turkey, was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor trespassing. Authorities said he had been drinking.

A pair of fighter jets was scrambled by U.S. Pacific Command to escort the American Airlines plane while the nature of the threat was unknown.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly was briefed on the incident, according to the department. The agency said Friday evening there were no other reports of disruptions aboard the aircraft and it will "continue to monitor all flights out of an abundance of caution."

However, if you cross over that southern border illegally, well, goshdarnit, you’d best be handed a ballot!

How is it that one foreign group voting illegally is bad and must be investigated, but another foreign entity doing the same is good and there should be no questions asked?

It’s so incredibly confusing.
