Short or long ones welcome.
A favorite of yours, or from a family member, friend,
or from the internet.
I found this on line.
Everyone loves a good dessert, but not everyone loves the time it takes to measure out and bake something homemade. Well, not only is your slow cooker the answer to homecooked meals on a busy schedule, it is also the answer to a delicious homemade dessert.
Ingredients
2 cans of cut peaches (21 oz each)
1 box yellow cake mix
6-oz butter cut into small chunks
1/3 cup walnuts, crushed (optional)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Vanilla ice cream
Directions
1. Pour out canned peaches with all the juice into a 6-quart slow cooker.
2. Evenly pour out cake mix over peaches. Then sprinkle walnuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg over the top. Do not mix.
3. Place cut butter slices on top, evenly distributed.
4. Cook on high 2 hours.
5. Serve with ice cream.

My top secret recipe for homemade blue cheese dressing...
Lo-Cal... sorta...
Use as much or as little of these ingredients to suit your taster...
One LARGE container of fat free, light, plain yogurt...<<< (that's the lo-cal part)
One 12 oz. container of crumbled blue cheese OR gorgonzola...
One or two packages of Uncle Dan's buttermilk ranch dressing...
One heaping table spoon of minced garlic...
A glug of lemon juice... Mix all that together...
Let in marry in the fridge overnight, stirring again before use...
Great on salads... Great as a dip... Great on baked potatoes...
Which btw, is one of my favorites...
Baked potato, butter, my dressing, cracked pepper, topped with shrimp...
Side of steamed veggies or sliced tomato... The full meal deal...

Put chicken broth on stove and bring to a boil. Add the diced celery and onion.
Boil the veggies until tender . Add 1/2 cup of rice, bring to a boil agAin and
Cover . Turn down the heat to low just so the pot is barely boiling
Wait about ten minutes then add the chopped cooked chicken. Add extra water and dry
Chicken seasoning at this time. Stir occasionally while cooking. When rice is tender
It is done.
I use four chicken.thighs and four legs. Be sure to cook the chicken u til it falls off

A very cool and delicious dessert. Fast also.
Key Lime Yogurt Pie
1 box of lime jello
1/4 cup boiling water (be sure to stir constantly to dissolve jello)
2 tubs Yoplait Key Lime Yogurt
1/2 tub Cool Whip
Dissolve Jello and as noted be sure to stir constantly to dissolve jello and to prevent the layer of rubbery jello that will set on the bottom. Can increase the boiling water if needed, but no more than 1/2 cup. I like to keep it between 1/4 and 1/2 cup. Stir until dissolved. Add yogurt and mix. Add cool whip and stir well.
Pour over a graham cracker crust made with crushed graham crackers and enough melted butter or margarine to form a crust. Also, good when adding chopped pecans to crust.
Cool in the refrigerator and will be set up and ready to eat in about 1/2 hour.
Can change the flavor of the pie with whatever flavor jello you like but you then need to use the same flavor of yogurt.
Can freeze and makes a great summer pie.

Irish Style Roast Potatoes... Just like me dear grey haired ole Mother use to make for supper...
She'd usually make roast beef with these, in which case, she'd baste them to a semi crunchy golden brown taste treat delectable goodness... Thanks Mom...
If you're not cooking a roast...
Chunk them taters, put em on a roasting pan, salt, pepper, rosemary and EVOO, turning as needed whilst roasting...
Bon appetit!

Joe's ma used to make what she called hamburger hash. He says all she did was brown the meat, add potatos and add some water and flour to make sauce. So I dont do it right..buy he likes mine anyway. lol. I fry up the burger meat. Then add a packet of gravy mix and a packet of onion soup mix. By the way, start with 3 #s of hamburger. Then added water and a ton of diced taters. Cook til taters are soft and most of the water is gone. Then add a can of mushroom soup and some milk. Easy, fast and you can doctor it up how you want for spices. Can add green beans too or peas or corn.

One acorn squash. Cut in half. Scoop out seeds. Set in pan and fill cavities with ground pork sausage. Bake til sausage is done and serve. Meal in one. Probably could try turkey sausage or beef, but pork has more fat to flavor squash.
I bought the ingredients to make a yogurt pie. Review later...

Stuffed Peppers
I use one each, yellow, orange and red, cut the tops off, cut them lengthwise in half.
Clean out the insides.
Fry one pound of ground beef, I use 93 or 95%.
Make box of beef rice-a-roni.
Cool both then mix together in a large bowl,
with about 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce.
Put some spaghetti sauce in a 9 by 13 inch pan.
Lay peppers in pan with skin side down.
Pour spaghetti over the peppers.
Cover with aluminum foil, poke some holes in aluminum foil.
Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes.
Enjoy.
