Felt good to be in my bodyshop working again alone like the old days. Radio playing loud. Knob for volume is gone so turn with a nail jammed in. It is a bit loud due to setting to hear over the DA running. Oh well.
Got the rest of the back frame rust reformed. Then went to staining the red cedar. I bought a stain called claret. Took a rag and dipped and smouched it and even added mineral spirits. Rubbed carefully to only hit the heartwood. Worked fine. Turned the brown back to the red of the cedar. Standing them right now almost straight. Sitting stacked on cement was leading to mold spots. I have to get a can of poly now and do the sealing.
Cleared the wheel caps. That worked too. Gloss over the dull spots of chrome dis..DAMN cant even spell anymore!.... disguises..THERE! thank you spell check! Disguises the pitting and blackish bits.

Joe got the frame painted. I mowed the field across the road, zigged and zagged and spiraled to do it fast and hit the small trees only. I said anyone sees it, think what drunk mowed. And I said glad not planting cause feel for guy trying to harvest. lol

Yep. He had to weld pieces in where the shackle is ahead of the axle. That rusted pretty badly. The rest is pitted but strong. He had cleaned it up. I sprayed it with rust reformer for him to paint with his little gun instead of my Binks. I just looked at cab corners..around 50 a pair and shipping. Have to decide who sells the better steel. Hopefully the frame under the cab is good.
I was down to the old house with Fuzz and sorting out tools and stuff that belong to the farm. I saw Bob's log chain and pulled it out of the box it was in. And thought..I am stealing his chain....but....he is dead so guess he wont need it anymore. And I know he would have said take it if you need it. That is the way he was.

Just read about the insane cost. And the over counter ones dont work and can harm. So bills in consideration to get after prices. What I like about medical...like bread..Do you need it..no..then costs a buck. Are you desperate and starving..oh..then...$50!
Joe sent pics..has one box side "done" and fender and bolted together.

Was puting on new tags & plates on the roadster [One year gone bye ]
When I noticed the left front tire looked a little low then saw the old dry rotted tread
was falling off Dang as it is to be in the prade this sunday, spare is old to but all I have now!! Did get on the phone & ordered 3 new tires though shiped today I think my chances for saturday delivery likely slim, will be by Fed-X, Put on two new ones last year but I see this was not enough.
goodyear $180.00
firestone$158.00
Lucas $99.00 I went with Lucas

Also ordered 6 new plastic coils My truck will need 4 & my car needs 2 to have a total of 4 plastic coils then will use my wooden coils as spairs if needed I haven't ben doing this long but I do not trust wooden coil boxes much, one day they work then not when ever they like not too all depends on the weather some say But never throw them away as their still likely good But am pretty shure the new plastic ones are the best for reliability. My friend has a tester for checking them. But he will only use plastic ones if avalible.

Thought of you gearheads yesterday. Headed to my son's yesterday we passed by a car show. If I were with my son we would have stopped but I was with my sister and she needed to head back home.

Starr, Hope things work out for the parade.

Happy baked heads! Since parades are so slow, with luck the tires will make it. And not melt on the pavement!
Took the Lincoln out and back. Do like the way it goes..45 or 50 and nail it and ZOOM! Be a good one to escape idiot drivers. Corners slick too. And get back and ???brake light on. Argh just had it fixed. So checked and master was down. Added and see what happens now. If not corrent...shop will get a call. I deal with old style mechanic..cash, no receipt. If screws up he fixes or I hit him in the head with a bean can. And he agrees.
Decided with temps,NOT mowing with tractor!

Rats! Now we will have to whisper when we talk about you.
Motostatic was in town when we went to the funeral. Drove in to the park, saw what was and decided not dressed for it nor did we care to walk around in the heat so went home.

Saying "Huh" three or more times is not good
My old hearing aids the people pulled out and no service But the new ones are even much better. Just don't like the high price over & over At least if the people stay this time it's all free now for three years
