There are three (3) criminal charges against Cosby.
I believe that is what is hanging the jury in a deadlock.
By his own admission he is guilty of at least 2 of those charges -- and by the actions of the complainant he is innocent of 1 of those charges.
I don't know if the jury is charged with each complaint as a separate punishable offense but I believe they are since since they each carry a maximum 10 year sentence.
The other thing I am not certain about in this case is do all 3 counts have to have a verdict that matches before a full verdict can be rendered.
It appears, from my point of view, that 1 juror cannot reconcile one of those charges with the others and is 'holding out'. I believe that hold out is a woman and I don't see her capitulating if she believes she is correct in her belief.
I will step out and say no decision is reached and a mistrial is declared. (The judge should have already declared a mistrial after the 2nd notification to the court after the Allen Order was issued. (There have been 7 requests, so far.) The judge may be violating ethics at this point which will be grounds for a successful appeal if Cosby is found guilty.
Even if found guilty, Cosby will probably remain free on appeal and never see a day behind bars. He may die before an appeal can ever be ruled upon.

Stop using meth, it's bad for you.
What silly b*tch waits 12 years to figure out she was f**ked once upon a time? Aside from the obvious common sense factors, there are the legal ones.
They used information from a civil proceeding in a criminal proceeding. If he gets convicted, it will take about 20 minutes to overturn it on appeal. The reason you have no 5th Amendment protections ina civil trial, is that your freedom is never at risk, only your money. That's why you can't take the fifth, and the burden of proof is so much lower.
That means using anything he said in a civil matter amounts to a coerced confession. They haven't been able to do that since they stopped cops from beating people with phone books to confess.

This trial will set a precedent that there is no statute of limitations on Rape in criminal court.
But I do believe there should be a statute of limitations in civil trials.
For instance, these women who never reported these alleged rapes, should be allowed to report them 20 years later and their testimonies should still be allowed in a criminal trial, but should have no claims to damages in civil court if the crimes were not originally reported to the authorities right after they happened.
And the reason I say that, is to prevent someone from jumping on a bandwagon of people claiming they were raped, just so they could sue someone in a civil court for damages.
I'll use the Michael Jackson molestation trials as my best example of that.

OJ Simpson had many sympathizers. I mean he did rush for over 20,000 yards.
Bill Cosby has many sympathizers as well, who were huge fans of his TV shows.
Sympathizers can end up on Juries. Sympathizers will overlook crimes committed by their idols in many cases.
Many times a sympathizer will lie to attorneys so they can be selected and get on a jury with the full intention of hanging the jury!
I believe this is the case in the Bill Cosby trial.
There is one or perhaps a couple of sympathizers who intentionally corrupted the jury in an effort to hang it up!

'Hopelessly deadlocked'...
Prosecutors plan to retry...
(smug sob!)
JURY: LOST COS
(UPDATED WITH D.A. ANNOUNCEMENT) A mistrial has been declared today in Bill Cosby’s criminal trial for the 2004 rape of Andrea Constand. The decision has for now spared the once-beloved actor from a potential decade behind bars, and comes at the end of over 50 hours of deliberation by the jury in Norristown, PA, which first went to Judge Steven O’Neill on June 15 to say it was deadlocked – at that time he told them to “try again,” which they did for the past two days.
After just over an hour of deliberations on Saturday, the jurors informed the court that they were still “hopelessly deadlocked” on all the charges. “After 52 hours of deliberation, probably one of the most courageous acts I’ve ever seen, I’m compelled to grant a mistrial,” said Judge O’Neill to the packed courtroom. Constand and several police officers who worked on the case were in the courtroom when the mistrial was announced today, as was Bill Cosby.
Not that this is all over for the 79-year old Cosby – at least not yet. Within minutes of the mistrial being declared, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office announced in court and online that they will retry the case.
DA Steele announces we will retry this case.

Lady Justice is blindfolded before the scales of justice as a symbol of hope and blind faith for proper justice.
Juror selection is a very difficult process in celebrity trials. There are some very strategic elements to the selection process, because the prosecutors and the defense attorneys have to agree on every juror. Every juror is a certain risk.
In the real world sometimes you win and sometimes you lose a case because the wrong juror was selected.
Unfortunately, all you can do, is punt down field, and start preparing to get the ball back, and try again.

I respectfully disagree, Fish -- being a woman, and having been a girl -- who became an advocate (for female & male) sexual/abuse issues I know that a child who has been raped/molested/abused may not have attained an age of knowledge when those events occurred but quite often surface years after the event can't be restricted from filing years old charges.
The physical & mental damage forced upon these victims is not bottomless; it may lay submerged for decades before it is brought to light.
All rape victims, sir, are not WOMEN -- VICTIMS, no matter their sex, age, race, circustance shoukd never be denied justice no matter how many years have elapsed since the crime occurred.

My husband loathed him. Refused to watch anything with him. I thought some humor was funny. Husband said he was nothing but an Uncle Tom who made a joke of his own race. And my husband was racist. lol.
I see that he was a smart aleck egotist. Thought he was way better than anyone else. So I see it as likely to believe the women. Especially when there were 50 of them total that spoke up finally. And he admitted he drugged them. But they wanted it! WTH? So he was so gross that was the only way they could stand him or what?

Apparently the evidence was pretty weak, as is was a mistrial.

That doesn't mean it was weak. If it were weak, he would be found not guilty. It's more likely that some people had their minds made up they would not find him guilty no matter what, like in the OJ case.
