I dislike summer, it is too hot and stays light too long.

Give me winter any day.

It's not as much fun as it used to be as it can get so beastly f**king HOT here in Georgia but I still like it. I think I'd like it a lot more if I had a swimming pool here at my place.

As a courier I HATE ROAD CONSTRUCTION. They tear up every single street, take away all on street parking and then wonder why folks can't get around and why traffic is so congested! The Socialist city government in Minneapolis does not have a keen grasp of the obvious.

Like the warm weather, the green, warm nights.

HATE dealing with the bleeping bleeping HEDGES. You have to cut all kinds of crap out of them before you can even get around to trimming them. Cutting grass is alright.

As a kid, it was obvious. No school.

Like baseball.

Love the longer days. Love the lazy days. Love being in water (be that a lake or a pool), boating, skiing, swimming, floating...

Don't love the extreme heat. Would like a little humidity because it's like being in a convection oven.

Me too... love the water! Boating, snorkeling, swimming, or just simply floating. I feel so at peace in the water.

It is dry here. Yesterday we had 2% humidity. When it does rise to about 10% or so, you can feel it. It so surprises me since that's hardly any humidity at all. Back in MN, it can get quite humid and that's just miserable.

I was in Miami in spring one year, and it was 90 degrees with 90% humidity...so horrible.

You'd be so surprised by how different it is here now from when you and your husband were stationed here. Back in the 90's, Vegas was one of the fastest growing cities in the US.

Thanks the replies, it looks like many like the summer, but not when it gets too hot. I agree...and I don't like much humidity either.

So far we haven't hit 90 here, and it won't next week, but it has over in Huntsville...most of June here, was a little cooler than normal...this is the coolest part of the state, so with some luck, we may only have two months in the 90's.

I do think as kids, we liked the summer the best....now, I like spring and fall the best now.

Lake, I've lived in different parts of the country...but out West most of the time I was near the ocean in California....but go inland enough miles and it turned to that desert climate, hot but not humid. so, I've experienced your kind of climate... I lived in Florida and S.E. Texas growing up too....and if you want to experience morbid humidity, anywhere that borders the gulf coast...its terrible, Especially Miss., Texas and Louisiana...80's at night and the air so stale and thick, you can cut it with a knife, no way I could deal with that...on a regular basis.

Its not too bad here, the nights usually cool off decently.

I like the seeing the billowing summer monsoon t-storm clouds in the distance in the afternoons..

and if your lucky if a t-storm comes over your house- when ya get the intense lightening and heavy downpours and gusts that can temporarily drop the temps 30 degrees in half an hour...and then the intense fragrant smell of wet creosote bush afterwards...

of course not many like the heat n humidity..

its the brutal irony of a symbiotic relationship...

Anne I certainly agree with you. Summertime is groovy. Totally not restricting to me. You can't skivvy-sit on the porch in the winter time. All the birds are singing and working. The deer aren't suffering from the bitter cold. Glorious sunrises and majestic sunsets. I live in the country and it's so beautiful.
