All the Schools in this area are on 2 hour delays. However, the temps are not getting above the 20's today. They should have closed the Schools all day. Kids at the Bus Stops will get Frost Bite.

Wish we had a Fireplace. Had to put our heat on emergency heat last night so it would continually run. We wanted to make sure the pipes didn't freeze. Wait till that electric bill comes in.  Calling for Freezing rain here in a few days.

When it gets this cold as it was this A.M....there is still a chill in the air..no matter what kind of heat you have. But, I love those wood burning stoves. All we had when I grew up.
It has finally warmed up to 19 degrees and it is Noon.

It's SUMMER!!! 40 degrees out there.  not a cloud in the sky. A little wind.
Had a Great trip to the grocery store. Now if I just would have had a Nice Gentlemen to help me bring them in.

Haven't had snow or ice yet----Really hate it..
When its so bad, you can't venture outside at all
Have to be careful of slipping and falling
I am prone to do stupid things like yesterday--
brought wood into basement..threw one log the wrong way
threw my shoulder out.....got to nurse it back to normal.

Took a hard fall --and couldn't stand on my own so had to go to hospital to find out why---ran all kind of exrays and test will get out tomorrow maybe...Thanks for being concerned.....getting old is not for the wimps---

I posted in the tech section at the forums. I also mentioned the flag feature should be disabled. if some people were to do half of the things they do in person, as they do at DH they would not have the nerve. Here they feel safe in going after people. If I do not like someone I just block them. IMO these people are just cowards.

I was looking at the weather report and says Snow and Ice for Saturday the 23 of this month. A long ways off..can change. I'm sure Winter is there...somewhere down the road for us. Maybe SPRING will be here earlier this year.

As time goes on..The meds just get old to our Bodies. Our bodies are a neat thing..they tells us something is wrong. I do feel all meds stop working after awhile and need to be changed. Am glad you are doing good.

I love Ollies and a new grocery just opened....called Alties--You have to bring your own bags, bag your own groceries and pay .25 cents on your cart and when you return it they give the quarter back......but some who know the store --put it in class with save a lot stores...but still have to prove to myself if this is good or not...only you can answer that on what you buy in a store.

Is it called Aldi...Golden?
If so..I have been there so many times with my Daughter. She likes it ..but my G/D and I don't. It's not like a regular grocery store..most of their Items stay in boxes. There are also a lot that is on shelves. It's just different. It is owned by a German Guy and has many stores in the U.S. I think. The Milk is usually cheaper..sometimes the eggs are. But over all it is Cheaper. I just don't like their brands. My G/Daughter says "Their Food Stinks" My daughter buys a lot there sometimes. You just never know what you will find there. If the Bananas are Green don't buy them..they never ripen or didn't for me.
It's always good to visit new shops...it maybe just what you been looking for..lots of people trade there. YOU DO have to bag everything Yourself. Take your bags or boxes with you. Hope you like it.

I wasn't sure if there was a New one I didn't know. I knew the one you posted sound like ALDI's. If it wasn't for spell check..some of my post would make NO sense. I can't spell like I use too.
I like Harris Teeter Grocery Stores. They are Very stocked and Very clean. The Meats are better. However, they are a little more Pricey. Do you have a Harris Teeter where you live?

My son is produce manager at "HARRIS-TEETER-- he will be happy you said that..he takes pride in his job and he is located outside Lexington--high point area....tall, blond, goodlooking young man...haha----mama's boy---but never been in one myself..

We have always had a Harris Teeters in this area. The only grocery store that I like. Your son is working for a nice grocery chain. The staff is always very Friendly and Helpful. The Produce is always the Freshest in town and a lot of it to chose from.
Everytime I mention going there to others ..I will get statements like..OMG! that store is just for the Wealthy..the prices are too expensive. That's Bull Crap..I'm not Wealthy and see people in there that don't look wealthy. They carry lots of Organic Foods. I spend less money there than Wal Mart.

I do remember hearing that. Kroger was not a bad Grocery store. Long ago we had one in Hickory..but it closed. I do hope they never change what Harris Teeters stands for.

It would be nice if Walmart had a Union...Maybe their Employees would get a raise. My G/Son is working there..he gets just above Mim. Wage. He is only working there while taking classes at the College. He says its Experience for him. Which is true. He loves people and especially us Older ones. He will go out of his way to help the Elderly. He now wants to be a Physical Therapist.

I hope it is a good one. They opened one here, not long ago and there are a few shelves with discount items but mostly the charge for the rest are higher then the regular stores near by. I went to another store and saw a gallon of regular milk is almost $5.00! Now that this is just IMO
