Bradley Beal out 6-8 weeks, pretty shitty for the Wizards. Possibly karma for talking smack to Waiters about not being a starter?

Let's see your predictions below...

Durant's injury is the same one Brook Lopez sustained last year. Only thing is Lopez had a second surgery after it didn't heal right and he missed the season. Now hopefully that doesn't happen here but its worth noting this is a weird injury that in many circumstances leads to a season ending surgery after not healing correct. I might've made my predictions a little to quickly with this news. Look for the Clippers and possibly the Warriors to finish above the Thunder if Durant is out 2+ months.

Vic/Deezy- Did you watch Warriors and Lakers last night? Kobe played pretty bad so hopefully for your sake you didn't lol. Curry put him in skates a couple times, even drilled a 26-footer with Kobe in his mug.

It'll be interesting to see that Dallas team gel. An Ellis/Parsons/Dirk/Chandler team has to be reckoned with... And we already know how great Pop gets his Spurs playing by the end of the year.

If spurs and cavs meet again in finals i would predict a 4-2 spurs victory.but way too early to tell.injuries, getting hot at right time, motivation, obstacles, homecourt and those other things are the difference come playoff time.i just feel that lebron would be too tired after all these games over last few years to reach finals though. Lets see what happens.

Question is: Can the Spurs duplicate what they did last year? Because if they do, idk if anyone can contend with them. They got hot at the end and all their key guys stayed healthy. We know that LeBron has an inexperienced team, but we also know they will give him more help in the end than what the Heat gave him. Looking at you Chalmers, Wade, Bosh, Cole. The Cavaliers' cannot be overlooked either. Love is the best rebounding forward in the league, LeBron is a top 5 rebounding small forward, the same for Verejao at the center. Even Tristan Thompson last year averaged a double-double is now the 7th man off the bench. This season will be fun!

Yeah I watched it kobe legs look pretty flat both offensively and defensively( prolly due to being winded) overall I knew before this season that this team was gonna suck on permieter defense.

The team is clearly missing both THE X and swaggy p when they go to the bench. Not only that but their small and what I feared since that 1st preseason game of getting worked by bigger frontcourts is continuing.

On the postive though baryon Scott needs to give ed Davis in the starting lineup from the 3 games I seen of him he's more active esp def then boozer.

Also if Wes johnson doesn't improve on his jumper he may possibly be in the dleague after this season.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Lakers said point guardSteve Nash injured his back carrying bags Wednesday, forcing him to miss practice for the third straight day and raising more questions about the 40-year-old's availability going forward

Nash can't catch a break.

Not suprsing I'll be glad when he does retire prolly the 2nd worst trade mith Kutpchak made ( 1st one being the Caron butler for kwame brown trade) in terms of potentially giving up picks (2015if not top 5, 2016 if not top 3, 2017 pick goes to Orlando)

On the good side however his 12 mill will give lal some wiggle room this summer along with If they decline hill team option and Jeremy Lin expiring contract.

ESPN ranks Kobe Bryant the 40th best player this upcoming season. To me it's a tad low, I still have him around 25.

Tommy- They do the rankings in reverse order leading up to the season. After today they'll only be up to #30, I believe. Everybody knows LeBron and Durant will be 1-2, it'll be interesting to see how 3-10 shakes up. It'll go something like LeBron, Durant, Dwight, Westbrook, Duncan, Curry, Melo, George, Davis, Love.

Thanks, Tommy. Duncan's reaching father-time in his basketball career but what he does on defense is still remarkable. After Dwight Howard, he's probably the best post defender in the league. On offense you can still throw it down low to him for easy buckets. Still one of the best offensive/defensive player today.

One of my best buddies is a L.A. Lakers fan. No b.s. I told him this about Kobe 3 years ago. This is what came out today about what current executives said about the mamba:

Someone, somewhere in some front office, is talking smack about Kobe’s game. “One compared him to Michael Jordan with Washington, with a little less than Michael was going to give you.” According to ESPN basketball writer Chris Broussard, an NBA exec said this about Kobe Bryant in 2014.

“He’s done,” that person also said, referring to Kobe’s multi-decade tenure as a star in the league. Going by ESPN’s NBA player ranks, however, it’d appear that Kobe’s barely an All-Star. Sitting at 40th on their list, he’s slightly better than Eric Bledsoe and a smidgen worse than Andre Igoudala.

Not suprising considering they had kobe ranked 25 last year espn analysts outside of stephen a smith and jemele hill seem to have a thing against him esp bill Simmons from 04 when shaq left till now.

As a kid i remember west missing shots, a step slower but really the season has not started but imo judge kobe facing foes not pre season games...i remember his MSG game and self motivation recovering from injury will be his demise or devotion finding the court again..just sayin..

Wade still has to prove himself too, he's only 4 spots above Kobe on my list. Both guys were top 5 players just 3 years ago. Wade's higher because he actually played more than 8 games the last couple years unlike Bryant.

I know my good friend Timmy is getting old but I think you will agree with me that he is still a 2nd head coach on the floor setting the Spurs defense when a fast break is not occurring.

Exactly, Tommy. He's also probably the most unselfish superstar of all time letting guys like Leonard/Parker flourish and win finals MVP, to me they have the awards thanks to Duncan deferring for the better of the team. Clogging that lane so LeBron and Wade couldn't drive was the biggest reason I say he was the real MVP. Plus Bosh couldn't stop him in the post.

You're right what if rose goes for the trifecta...hope not but NBA needs stars...i still say give kobe the ball and see if he's use to repeating skills from yesteryear ...the season is gruelling enough but it's still a team game ask the spurs..

Rose I have a little higher because 2 reasons.

1. He's stayed surprisingly healthy thru FIBA and now the preseason.

2. Kobe sustained the worst sports injury (discluding being paralyzed.) Time after time guys in all different sports have had problems coming back from the reconstructive achilles surgery. It usually leads to the leg giving out.

Rose suffered the same injury as kobe though I'll wait until next year to judge both of their impacts because as past players Such

Al Jefferson when he was with the wolves

Lou willams
Dominque

It usually takes about a year ( minus Dominique) for that player to get back into nba shape. The 4 games of kobe with the exception of the jazz game shows kobe legs aren't under him yet. Prolly won't be in nba shape till thanksgiving if he stays healthy.

Watch out for armare stoudemire. The dude for around nine months is soaking up red wine heated baths for 30 minutes followed up by 90 minutes massage. ..if you gave me that I'd be a pig happy in schitt...lol..

I have seen armare looking a bit more energenic on floor and knicks need any help it can get.

How much does the wine cost and with amare bathing in it is it rebottled and autographed in the knicks gift shop for sale...as you know our skin is porous and the wine is heated and goes the skin and into the body as an antioxidant as he says...

Anyone want to sponsor my wine supply.. lol...no I'm serious..lol.,,no sweedes allowed in the making this post...

Vic- Rose never rupture his achilles, he shredded both knees two years in a row though. Same I believe goes for big Al. He shredded his knee with Minnesota.

Sorp- I read about that the other day, man. Its some of the weirdest stuff I've heard in terms of medical practice. I'm one that thinks the triangle will put Amare in better position to be effective offensively than what we've seen the last four years.

I've asked Timmy that question many times and he always gives me the same answer which is "when I feel like I can't contribute anymore." That's how humble he is. He is a very rare athlete in today's world by never getting to full of himself.

Tommy, he deserves the right to hang those sneakers up on his terms like no one else. The Spurs owe him that and more. Duncan makes HALF the anual salary of one: Kobe Bryant, but deserves every penny Kobe makes. Championships > $$ for old Timmy.

Ever hear of borrow solution.,.it smells like vinegar but when added to a bath with water proportional it goes through the pores of your skin and fights pain..i was in six grade broke my right foot in winter and wore a cast for 22 weeks but before i knew i broke it my mom put borrow solution in my bath which took pain away but left the break...i was able to play little league baseball as a 12 yr old...and at that time i was a catcher...today you may need a RX for burrow solution but it works well...

Brook Lopez likely will be out 10 to 14 days with what sources are calling a "soft tissue" injury in his surgically repaired right foot.

Watch out brook you may get lymphadema next...

Soft tissue or soft Lopez? That guy could hurt himself taking out the garbage.

King is a dumb ass. Why people give him credit for that 2001 finals run is beyond me. After LeBron's Cavs, that's the worst team in NBA history that made it..

Rick Carlisle, a top 3 coach in today's game had some strong statements last night on King James after his Mavs beat LeBron's Cavs.

There's no doubt he (LeBron James) is one of the 5 greatest players ever. He could end up being the very best, we’ll just have to see,” Carlisle said. “A lot of that’s yet to be written. He’s top five for sure, if you’re asking my opinion.”

Drose can but I think westbrook might play with a chip on his shoulder very intrigue to see how he and ibaka play without durant. If and huge if he plays well and doesn't go into his inner iverson mode he can potentially be a dark horse MVP candidate

Idk about the mavs I think they need to upgrade their starting pg spot unless jamer Nelson or Devin Harris turns back the clock.

D-Rose went off but let me remind you he also "went off" last preseason before stumbling the first few games of the basketball games that count, and eventually shredded his knee.

Vic- Devin Harris turned that clock last year vs the Spurs. He was one of the main reasons that series went 7. Him and Jameer should make a solid 1-2 punch. I'll give you Felton being fat and used up.

Silver- I see Spurs/Cavs, Mavs/Cavs or Bulls vs either if injuries derail Cleveland.

Hey Buddy, Keep what you just said in mind if you make those FUTURES bets in Vegas that you were talking about making. Futures bets are dangerous because once you make that bet you are hung with it for the rest of the season. One key injury or suspension to a key player of any team could change things in a hurry. You already know that I know what I am talking about because we have discussed this before my friend.
