I feel sorry for guys like MCW and Noel obviously their trying to win but the management has putted inferior players around them.

It's a shame cause not to long ago the sixers had a good core of jrue holiday, Evan turner, Lou willams off the bench and Thaddeus young. I rember that team took the celtics back when they had their big 3 to 7 games a couple of years ago.

Vic, I'm interested in your answer. Who would win a 7 game series RIGHT NOW between the Lakers and the 76ers if it were played?

With everybody healthy on both respective sides the sixers. I say that because the games I've seen of the sixers outside of that terrible mavs game last night they've been at least showing some resistance defensively.

Lakers on the other hand defensively there's so many problems MCW would get into lin cause MCW is a physical guard( hence why he gets so many steals in terms of man to man defense and playing passing lanes. Kobe would put up numbers but the sixers would want him to do that along with jordan hill shooting jumpers.

If you asked what team has a better future in terms of players I was say philly as well( for now idk who la will get in the next 2 years).

The sixers are trying the okc approach trying to develop thru the draft I don't like that they traded away jrue holiday and Evan turner for nothing but I guess they were tired of losing in the 2nd round/1st round from year to year.

Now that I'm thinking about it I wouldn't be suprise if Atlanta does the same thing the sixers did depending if they lose Paul milsap this summer .

Melo scores 46 and not enough tonight but during 4th Pablo Prigioni shoots a three and refs dont give him credit for three and you could see he was clearly behind the line on replay...where were refs in secaucus, nj to over rule...that play alone does not allow the knicks to manage their game. Melo with 3 pointer with 2.3 left ties score and utah wins on a three pointer at buzzer to win ...fuhgeddaboudit. ..you can see Pablo Prigioni on replay is behind line and refs say there was no conclusive evidence they could see but i saw it...too bad you cant protest because knicks were robbed..

Good, LeBron will drop 40 on him & old man Pierce.

Cavs started 1-3 now are 5-3.

Keep on sleeping on the wizards their quietly 7 and 2 temple as well as Otto porter has been playing well for them.

With the addition of beal the offense ESP for john wall will be easier for his penetration game. Finally gonna get to see that small lineup I was talking about that they've been using a lot lately only this time temple will be replaced with beal.

Not sleeping on them at all, I have them being the 4 seed at years end. They play the Cavs twice in 5 days, it'll be interesting to see the outcomes. It's likely they each win their home game.. Cavs play the Spurs Wednesday before that and they're surprisingly only 5-4.

Memphis in this Houston game has really been impressive making me 2nd think about Marc gasol leaving them. Also makes me think how good this team be if management wasn't cheap to go over the lurxy tax when they traded Rudy.

The Boston Celtics when LeBron was in Cleveland was his kryptonite. He beat these Spurs with a 30 point triple double in game 7 of the NBA finals just a year and a half ago.

Rome was not built in one day, people. The Miami Heat started out 9-8 their first year together before winning 20 in a row.

Knicks losing on road again..how much a difference would the return of Bargnani, and Calderon be...ok knicks start winning with them on their returns if they return but its the east conference, not the west. ..knicks gotta tank...

There sturggling with the concept offensively triangle wise. Idk I think fish has a vandetta against Tim hardaway but they need to work on their transition defense as well.

Side note: Brooklyn needs a shakeup watching that bucks nets game their offense looks slow and predictable... I understand they have coach hollins who likes to slow the pace down but their playing very similar to the way they played the 1st half of last year before brook Lopez went down.

Looks like in crunch time lopez is not part of their game doscounting last night

Hardaway made an error committing a foul against their comeback on a dumb a** play he made forcing the knicks having to shoot a 3 pointer instead of a two and the ball went to jr not melo who could not find melo i believe and coaches don't forget that crap but do forgive...

Yeah I notice that idk what the hell hollins was trying to do but joe johnson look winded as hell in that 2nd and 3rd ot.

As for NYk maybe things might change once Jose caldron returns but I notice the last 2 games they start off slow ( beggining of the bucks game and last night) and try to play catchup only to fall short. Def need to change their energy out of the gates

Harden's better at creating shots but I think defense separates Klay. Old men Wade and Kobe are probably 3-4. Monte Ellis us up there too.

Harden is good def right up there with durant in a master of creating contact. Klay is the best though right now pretty impressive on how he's develop his handles driving it to the rim even creating for people some( would like to see him do that more.

I think he can develop a post game he has the length though idk if he could operate there with David lee and bogut clogging the lane.

Ellis is another person that's improved idk if it's because of rick carlsie and dirk but his shot selection has greatly improved very good 1,2 connection he has with dirk as well.

Wall's jumper is on, but lets be real. Cleveland's defense is trash, and as gifted as Kyrie is he's a ballhog. He needs to play more like a POINT GUARD. Still not worried though. Cavs will be light years better in a couple months than what they're showing us.

They need to work on their transition defense wall was having his way esp in that 3rd quarter. Also need to stop settling for 3s particularly waiter and Irving.

Kyrie has to be a driver first, with option of kicking out, then worry about long jumpers at the end of the clock. Love isn't getting the touches he needs. Waiters needs to get out of that habbit of mid range heaves and stsrt bulling to the hoop. Obviously theres plenty of times throughout the game for contested shots at the end of the clock. Those two in particular need to change it up. Varejao for whatever reason attempted more shots than Love lol. That can't happen. And last but not least, LeBron needs to stop driving lookingto dish. They need him for obvious reasons to be the main scorer. He attempted the most shots today but it just didn't look in rhythm.

So on a night where Kobe's teammates shoot SIXTY PERCENT, the ballhog formerly known as Black Mamba manages to shoot his team out of the game going 6/22 on field goals!?

Enough is enough. No more excuses for the selfish, egotistical Kobe Bryant. I respect him as a top 10 player all time with what i believe top 5 talent (ego, selfishness, inefficiency got in the way), but did anybody see him shoot that 34 foot shot with 6 seconds on the shot clock? Like WTF?! Especially with how well his team was playing he does that?! Either people REALLY overrate his basketball i.q. or he's just that arrogant. I'll assume the latter.

Anyways, the dude really needs to be benched or traded asap. There is zero BASKETBALL reasons for him staying. He's not a guy to teach young players to win like a LeBron, Kareem, Hakeem, MJ, or Magic. The only thing they're learning is how get out of Kobe's way, and how to lead the league in scoring while shooting a putrid 35%. Which btw is on pace to shatter the worst % for the leading scorer ever. Think about those numbers.

If you watch the whole game you would see why kobe went into hero mode in the 3rd quarter after having 5 assists in the 1st half( finished with 7). Lin and jordan hill who both looked great settled not only that but the laker killer from the 2011 playoffs Mr JJ barrea who was on fire from 3 pt land had his way with lin and price @ the end of the 2nd and it carried to the 3rd where things only got worser cause he started to get into the paint and get shots for Ellis and dirk.

Not even gonna mention nick young cause he was horrible in guarding parsons( as well as wesely) which is why bryon sat him down quick.

Lastly Kobe's 36 this ain't the kobe of 2 years ago when he was playing insane nor this is the kobe of 2006 where he could single handly will his team to victories. Hell he even said it himself his legs ain't there but of course he gonna keep on shooting cause the body language of the rest of the lakers esp in the 4th look disinterested, defeated.

Again I'll say this the only lakers that play with aggresion other then kobe is ed Davis and nick young reason why jordan hill got off to that hot start was because chandler sag off of him in the 1st when he went 5-5 all on open midrange jumpers.

You can make all the excuses you want for Kobe lol. But he isn't teaching those guys anything.

Cavs got toasted in the second half! The front line is softer than Charmin toilet paper. They need a guy like Larry Sanders, Hibbert or even Biyombo for that interior defense. I say dangle Waiters in trade talks. He's good but the Cavs really have no need for him with that big 3.

Howdy Sorp I see you're in the Christmas spirit!

Kobe isn't a leader by his voice like kg or lebron he leads by example can't say he's not a leader cause so many people including Trevor ariza, Caron butler, pau gasol, Kobe's BFF in 08Sasha vuijach, steve Blake I could go on and on not only teammates but oppents that have credited Kobe's leadership and how it impacted them to become a better player.Kobe tried to do the same thing for wesely johnson who he reportedly worked out with most of the summer but the difference between Wesley and the rest of those guys I mention above is that he has a poor bball iq.

Just because lal is losing now doesn't mean kobe can't have an impact on the rest of his team maybe it will rub off on lin in the future like it did Blake to take control of the offense so young and kobe won't have to go Iso when the offense becomes stagnant.

I'm not questioning his leadership, rather his ability to teach the young guys to succeed in the NBA. How can they not be walking on egg shells when Kobe is right there screaming at them while take 25 shots every game. He's still a great player (obviously not close to what he use to be) but I feel he needs to be traded. Unless his only priority this season is to break records, which it does seem like...

No team in their right mind will gut their team for kobe in the twilight of his career that's prolly gonna play 1 season after this it'll be like the Denver Knicks trade a few years ago when ny( at the time had a very balanced roaster with amare playing at a high level) gutted their core to get melo. To this day I still think if New York would have waited till free agency and recruited melo that team would be in a much better position in the melo era that is right now.

But anyways back to the point the reason I brought that trade up cause Mitch is gonna demand a hell of a lot for kobe( expirings young talented players, multiple draft picks) not only that but kobe gets the final say with his no trade clause. Better off riding the season trading hill ( while he's having the Evan turner effect aka putting good stats on a bad team) or lin for another draft pick. Hope that Houston cools off so their pick like they did last season to steal a sleeper pick and finally UPGRADE THE SF AND PG POSITION ESP SF.

I'd be willing to bet the Knicks would give up guys like Larkin, JR, Hardaway & Bargs for him. As long as they're not out of the playoff picture come the deadline which is unlikely playing in the East.

Did you see what Kobe said to his teammates last night during a timeout?? GET THE F*CK OUT OF MY WAY... What a great leader he is!!

I'd trade Bargs for italian food plus my ex spouse who was born in sicily...what a waste of a once talented has been...who would take JR...the show dallas doesnt need a JR Ewing..Larkin is learning but his hustle could come in handy if calderon flops like in every place he's been..after all he was hurt his rookie season

Lakers say no to that unless the Knicks get a lottery pick and package that along with another 1st rounder for kobe.

As for yesterday lal again went into shutdown mode after playing well in the 3 quarters before the 4th. Things only got worse when bryon decided to do what Mike Woodson when he use to coach Atlanta with joe johnson the final 3 mins of the 4th only difference being kobe posting up instead of dribbling around the permieter like joe.

Top it off with Ty Lawson once again exposing lin( growing theme from this young season of opposing PGs having their way with him) along with gallanri dagger 3 in ot. Could understand why he's upset they have the same problem as the Detroit pistons from watching their games = late game excution.

Even in lal victories minus the Charlotte victory( I'll get into the hornets later)they got extremely lucky esp against hou.

I selfishly just wanna see the trade go down. LeBron vs Kobe & Melo ina playoff series would be epic!! Three of the greatest scorers of all time.

Just what the Dr. ordered, the Orlando Magic. LeBron had 22 points 7 assists by halftime. I expect HUGE progression the next few weeks!

Lead, follow, or get the f*ck outta the way

That series would end in 5 games only team kobe should demand to if it's an east team is the team he originally wanted to get traded to in 07 the bulls. Although butler has improved I can see kobe helping them out as the bulls weakness the last 3-4 years has been @ the sg position though bulls not gonna do that and neither is lal.

Jose- I guess its get the f-ck out the way if you're playing with the Mamba. Lol

Vic- I could see Knicks adding a pick or two if LA took JR off their hands. Bulls wouldn't do your trade for sure, tthough Lakers woupd be hard pressed. Butler is solid.

Low- Don't feel to sorry, he's making like $4 million this year with zero expectations.

The 76ers are a poster-boy product example of players you gamble for and players you don't gamble. Look at the trade they did back in 2012 to get Andrew Bynum. That very trade came to hit them right back in the ass! They got MCW, Noel, and Wroten but they have a crop of players that cannot play well altogether. Meanwhile, Vucevic is well on his way to being an all-star and is 20x better than Bynum. Harkless isn't a bad player either. And they probably was still better off keeping Andre Iguodala if he wanted to stay.
The 76ers should be a cardinal lesson for young/rookie GMs out there.

The problem with the sixers is that their trying to use the same tactic okc used when they traded allstars at the time rashard Lewis and ray allen to get a top pick. Unfourntely their draft picks outside of embidd and Noel I kinda cringe on. I still don't understand why they traded jrue holiday they could have had a good rotation @ the 1 with holiday starting and MCW backing him up.

Maybe their luck into a durant type of player in the future but they need to stop depending on the draft and at least try to assemble some kind of talent via free agency.

I don't see how Noel was baffled when he didn't get picked first--dude you are going into the draft with a knee injury, and you're a big man. Who's going to gamble on that? Sixers will. With the right training Noel could be very great but he's just a pogo stick; just like Tyson Chandler. MCW and Holiday could've started together with Holiday playing off of him because MCW is more like a PG than Holiday. The draft is not going to always save a team. Look at how stacked on talent the young teams are/were like: Wizards, Kings, Timberwolves, Jazz. But it's about coaching and the staff. And the player's willingness to self-improve.

I'd argue it was a brilliant trade. Basically they got Embiid AND Noel for Holliday because they wouldn't have been bad enough with Jrue to get Embiid. Now after this horrendous season they'll have Wroten, Noel, Embiid, MCW and the guy they draft top 5 this year. That is a WHOLE lot of talent. They're also gonna have about $45 million (probably more) in cap space. The future is BRIGHT in Philly if they spend it on the right guys. A lot of teams will be following suit once they see how it worked for the 6ers down the line imo.

If they end up getting one of the top 3 guys this will look brilliant in a couple years.

They would've lost with or without him. 26 point win Nene is a decent starter, nothing more or less. Wall & porter played like shit.

I wouldn't say better but last night was prolly the best game I seen from Jose caldron in his 3 games as a knick. Unfortunately they had no answer for Ellis and that terrible mismatch in ot when quincy was on dirk and when prigoni got switch on him off of a screen in that final minute sealed the game.

Doubt it would be a 26 pt loss u are underestimate the impact nene has on this team. Reason why he hasn't been aggressive like last season cause wall the first two weeks was on fire when he averaged 30 a game but as Steve Clifford said he's the heart of that team. The way they play on both ends esp wall when he's on the floor compared to when he's out is night and day.

When's he on the floor they play smash mouth, when's he out their more permiter oriented that's why pierce shot attempts has gone up the last 2 games as well.

Though not gonna take to much into this cause wizards still have a good record despite this minor 2 game slide pretty sure wall is gonna break out of this funk.

The Knicks don't play better without Melo, they "move" better without him. When he's in, he dominates the ball. There is no flow. No opportunity to cash in on other weapons because they don't have solid ball movement. Now maybe Calderon could help with that but Melo is going to be Melo.
