Ok you Kobe lovers out there, I digress. These ESPN rankings are now a TOTAL joke. They just ranked Dwight Howard #10 and KEVIN DURANTULA #8???!!! These two are 2 & 3 on my list.

I say Dwight's #3 for what he does defensively mostly. Offensively he's still a great dunker and finisher around the rim. No one today defends the paint better bar none

So kid or vic the knicks will be hard to scout in advance since not every triangle to be coming down court finds the same guy shooting orvis the same position everytime down court which makes sense, do knicks deploy a better defense to to play their opponents and their game...Jackson's past teams has had stars, knick suspects as season begins next week..what should i expect, being patient but sorpicious or eatch for progressiveness as season moves on...

Depends on if melo can be efficient and there's constant movement. As I said before I really think Tim hardaway jr is gonna be more featured this coming season esp the preseason games I've seen of him. Expect Jose caldron to be the floor general for ny this coming season his passing as well is his shooting is a perfect fit in the triangle that I think both amare and melo will benefit from.
Gonna be interesting what they do with jr smith though phil likes him but I'm not quite sure he would make a good fit... Another thing that concerns me about ny is bargani but then again his contract is about to expire...
Overall if all things go well melo channels his 2008 side and dalembear (however the hell you spell his name lol) provides solid defense inside they can be a 5th seed prolly battling One of atl, heat or hornets in round 1.
Worst case 8th or 9th seed melo somehow gets injured dalembear continues his lazyazzness of what he did with Dallas and Tim hardaway jr fails to step up.

Though if New York somehow got the 3rd or 4th seed it wouldn't suprise me just depends on their chemistry but their heading the right direction.
Phil Jackson future wise has ny cap salary wise in a great position to get Marc gasol this summer... Depends on how Memphis does though but I think this year might be the final seasonRandolph and gasol play together.

D-Rose went off but let me remind you he also "went off" last preseason before stumbling the first few games of the basketball games that count, and eventually shredded his knee.
Vic- Devin Harris turned that clock last year vs the Spurs. He was one of the main reasons that series went 7. Him and Jameer should make a solid 1-2 punch. I'll give you Felton being fat and used up.
Silver- I see Spurs/Cavs, Mavs/Cavs or Bulls vs either if injuries derail Cleveland.
Hey Buddy, Be careful because Deezy might have Kobe traded to the Cavs without you even knowing it since he thinks Michael Vick still plays for the Eagles.

Then you must not know the concept of basketball and if you watch the spurs particularly in that series against Portland in the playoffs you would see fundamental defense played at its finest helping out on penetration, collapsing in the paint, rotating on defense.
That has been the peanut butter and jelly of the spurs since Tim Duncan got there there is NO LEME REPEAT NO GAME WHERE YOUR GOING TO SEE A TEAM WITH 0 POINTS. This isn't futbol or the nfl this is the NBA!

So it seems Leonard is holding out for a max deal with Friday being the deadline before possible unrestricted free agency. This makes me nervous, on one hand the roster has a lot of talent and everone needs to get paid, on the other hand, Leonard is the possible future of the franchise.
Personally, I think he's pushing the issue too quickly.True he won finals mvp and had a much better season last year, but get selected to an all star team before you start looking for the max . You're sharing a team with legends and have a great chance at a 2nd ring already!!

Well to be fair looking at it from kwahi lenoard position seeing guys like Gordon haywood and chandler parsons get the max for doing nothing Kwahi should be demanding the max. In maybe a year or 2 at most Duncan and prolly Manu is going to retire leaving parker and him.

Actually, to me the Hornets have a solid shot at the conference finals. Of course losing the King and his merry men.
Limey bstrd that shit cracks me up. Like Vic's already said, if Parsons/Hayward got that kinda $$ he deserves max++. No he's not an all star yet, but he did go toe to toe with the great LeBron James and didn't back down. He won the finals MVP so you have to give him that, although anyone with two eyes could see LeBron was clearly the best player out there, BUT that's for now day. Ok, now back on subject. If he wants to keep winning I think he should give the Spurs a SLIGHT home discount for the sake of winning and sacrifice like Duncan/Parker have done. Parsons/Hayward have tied there teams down and I doubt either of their teams will be ver good a few years down the road because of it, unless of course the new TV deal substantially increases the cap.

I hear you Vic and im not underestimating the mans potential.I think in a year or two when Manu and Tim are sipping ice tea and playing dominos and he officially becomes the face of the franchise, he has every right to that money, thats a lot of extra cap room to work with.Even then though, the thing about the Spurs, is that they don't throw all their chips on one, two or even three stars and it takes a bit of selflessness (as shown by our big three in the past) to keep such a deep squad.
I'm not putting the man down for chasing the money, I just think a bit of patience can go a long way for everyone involved. The Mavs and Hornets were suckers for sure, but that doesn't mean Kwahi isn't a little premature in his d*ck swinging lol

Nah I called it ever since that Denver preseason game this laker team is undersized at the 5 it's working against them big time already....you coupled that with them not having a real traditional pass first pg that can set up their offense.
Don't wanna judge so fast but mr jimmy needs to do a makeover next summer.

True, but I was thinking more about the rotation of bigs they have. Hill, Booz, Davis, Randle should be solid by year's end. Hopefully one of the latter two cease Boozer's starting spot soon for your Lakers sake. He's at best a bench guy at this stage of his career.

Vic, I wish Dwight would've knocked Kobe's a** out on that play, man. Why's he in Dwight's mug slapping at him like that down 20 with 5mins left? And then he calls Howard soft?? Dwight is the strongest player in the league and should've layed the Mamba out!
On the flip side it was sad and unfortunate to see that injury to Randle. Hopefully it isn't as serious as they're fearing!

Kobe was just trying to find a spark unfortunately outside of Ronnie price and Ed Davis the lack of b ball iq on both ends is horrible.
I said it before during the preseason don't be surprise if Weselh Johnson ends up in the d league only reason why Lal resigned him was because their extremely thin @ sf.
Overall I'll give it a month or 2 before the media turns their attention from kobe to the front office like they did in 2007. Though might happen earlier then that if they go on a 7 game losing streak out of the gates.

That's so shitty. This years best case scenario now is Kobe stays healthy/grows chemistry with Nick Young. I doubt they're a bottom five team if Kobe's healthy so that pick probably ends up in Phx.

Mark Jackson & Van Gundy just proclaimed Patrick Ewing the greatest Knick of all time. I wonder what Sorp thinks of that... I'd agree with them myself, those teams in the early 70's was stacked while Ewing carried the load nightly.

That's why the possibility of them getting within the top 5 is possible I knew coming in they wouldn't make the playoffs. With young and Randle out along with Xavier Henry not 100 percent they lack players that can create off the dribble.
Overall this season will be like the first season in 2004 after Shaq left only difference is kobe is out of his prime.
They'll be back after 2016 though still hoping mitch can put something together the next 2 summers.

Ewing played against the greatest of all time which is probably why he never won it all. I'll ride with him as the best in Knicks history for how he carried the load for that long. The argument can be made either way though.
