I don't have any magazine subscriptions. Last time I did it was Guidepost a Christian subscription and I got it for the kids and my ex-mil. I was a subscription that my Mom use to get my sister and I.

What is it that you do for your kids (nieces or nephews) that a parent did for you?

I actually do better when I pick things up for someone here or there for no particular reason. When it actually comes to special occasions I always seem to be at a loss.

Like Fishy it depends.

I like to buy gifts, rather then gift cards but I like to make things for gifts as well...

Do you like to give someone a gift for no special reason at all, just that you thought of them

That is the way I prefer it. Even for myself I especially don't like valentines, I feel soooo sorry for people that fill into the "marketing" of what LOVE IS ...... ads say "Buy her diamonds to say you would do it all over again and make her LOVE you".

~ Do that for me totally out of the blue and THEN it speaks louder then any "special occasions" gift.

Seriously though, when the guy comes across as if he "has" to do it and his heart isn't in it ...... major turn off.

I use fleece sheets and an electric blanket. I will turn the blanket on to take the chill off then turn it off when I go to sleep. I like to sleep in a cool room at night.

My next will be a balance between efficiency and power (I hope). I've GOT to have SOME power. But I also want to travel and need something with better gas mileage.

I watch Law and Order, Criminal Minds, NCIS (all reruns), Chrissly Knows Best (a silly reality show, but Chrissly is a hoot). Also I enjoy a lot of the series they have on History Channel. I enjoy watching tv. Sometimes if I'm disgusted with the world in general, I watch Lifetime movies. They always have good endings

Tuesday is also The Voice, Wed. has Survivor, Thursday has Biggest Loser for me in the den while he watches football on the main tv. then also Thursday has Project Runway but I watch it Saturday on my pc, and Friday now has The Great Race. Saturday I do not turn the tube on after he leaves for the day.. I like it quiet and he likes the noise..

someone asked about favorite color a few back, so go with that one again.. mine is red..

these shows are for fall and winter. when we can be outside, the tube does not get turned on much..

Red is also my favorite color even though it is felt to be a big reflector on the persons mood.

Had a relative in the nursing home that tended to be put out very easily with most of the employees there. I knew she liked red so I took her a bathrobe of that color. It hang in the closet with the tags still on it and when I inquired why they didn't dress her in it I was told she would be very hard to deal with if she was wearing red. LOL. Actually she was a monster when she didn't get her way.

Question: How do you react when you've been insulted by someone you don't know?

I have dated younger (8 years).
.. Don't think it's the physical age so much as it is the "mental-age".
... I tend to like young at heart without necessarily being wild and crazy.
..... I still like joking around, positiveness. If that happens to come with a physically younger man so be it.
....... Physical age is not my primary interest.

You Pick ...... Answer any or all of the last three questions offered up !!!

Yes ~ male and female .... If you are asking specifically about dating someone, the answer is still yes. Only one person had I dated for any length of time and that was only about 4 months. A few "one" dates and a few 2 or 3 dates.

Do you feel you are at the point in your life that as soon as you meet someone you know within a short time if you wish to entertain the possibility of a relationship beyond friend or not?

I get wordy sometimes.

I always liked older men. Joe is a baby...only 62 lol. I realize though as one ages out..it gets harder to find an "older" man. Unless I visit cemeteries. A young man drives me nuts. NO! I do NOT like hip hop and rap. And I have NO idea what that phone pad thing is!

In my case if I don,t have my list, it is spur of the moment. The eye sight is the second thing you lose. I still can,t remember what the first one is.

Do Yall spend to much time in the blogs ?

This past weekend I was looking around in the blogs out of boredom. Interesting ... some good, some bad.

Dishes ........ to you wash them (no dish washer), put them in the dishwasher or use paper plates?

I believe some...some I don't believe. I tend to not bother too much with people who don't join in the threads. What people post can give you a good idea of what they really are about.

I've met quite a few people from DH and most have turned out to be just about what I expected after reading their posts. Even the silly game threads give you an idea of how they live and what they think.

Same question...

Not until after I see some activity via posts, comments, jokes, etc. The one sentence in a profile that screams "egotistical" is "they tell me I look younger than I am". Whee that always gives me a good laugh.

Editing because I forget to ask a question:

If you could choose something for today, what would it be?
