I too have that HONOR  .....think most of the women on here have it too.
She's usually much more patient with men....perhaps you didn't subcomb to her charms quickly enough....
Or enough have seen through her to know shes not someone they would date any way.
For someone who is suppose to be highly educated, worked as a teacher and hates kids? is a hypocrite. Speaks 4 languages yet cant grasp whats being said in plain English?

Found this in Good Old Days mag..written by June Master Bacher. It reminds me of the way mom felt and the way I was raised to feel toward husband..and now Joe,
The cat was singing on the rug. The china cups were out. The kettle whistled happily as mama rushed about. To finish frosting layer cakes. And steeping pots of tea. And then brush back her pompadour, as if for company. She'd straighten books beside a chair. And fan the just lit fire. The house took on a certain air..of beauty and desire. She'd sit beside the fire and dream. Although the hour grew late. And listen for familiar sounds of daddy at the gate. Sometimes when I am trouble by small things that wear me down. I'm calmed by her remembered wait, when daddy shopped in town.
It was always excitement when dad came home. And even if just up from the shop. When the man of the house came home...the whole world was brighter.

He must have blue eyes.
He must be an excellent cook.
He must be able to make me smile.
He must have some Irish blood in him.
He must have no sense of direction.
He must be eloquent.
He must hate liquorice.
He must not be too tidy.
He must have an extensive musical knowledge.
He must have spent some time abroad, preferably in South America.
He must love to swim.
He must have an eye for sturdy walls.
He must abhor wearing sweaters,
and he must love skunks.

I tried the dating thing and while it was nerve wracking, I had a lot of fun doing things, eating out, going to concerts and such.....
But..... the last gal and I were on different pages..... I was falling and she wasn't.....

Your such a dear man.....you will not have to look, she will find you just be willing to hand her a hammer to help break some of those blocks when she comes.
If she has cement......you may need the hammer yourself to break her walls down....
Is it worth it even with the pain and hurt we have had...............yes
It may not be love as we all have searched for, but it may be even better who knows

Someone who is open and honest, kind, generous with his time. Emotionally secure would nice. Likable and able to like... Able to leave his baggage at the airport and move forward.
Someone with whom I could live and not feel smothered. Separate bedrooms would be fine if either was not able to get any sleep with someone in their bed, for whatever reason
He'd have to willing to food shop together so each would contribute to ideas for meals.
He'd have to be neat, no slobs 
And please God.... should I ever have this man in my life, let him be taller than me

I like simplicity.. no frills just thrills. Thrills could be just a smile when I walk in a room or Yes Laff, a pat on the a** or kiss on the neck.
dont need a fancy car or house, dont need no flowers or candy.. a smile, holding hands, cuddling up for a good movie is about all I need.
Happy to go out to eat some where thats easy going not the Ritz or roast hot dogs over the fire pit.. KISS (Keep it Simple Silly) thats what works for me.

Geez, I can't keep up to date. Wasn't it just last year that FWB was a no-no?
Me? I believe a committed FWB relationship combined with watching each others back
while living in separate houses is THE perfect answer. Please note the word committed.
If it's with the right one, I don't want or need more than one. Give some realistic thought to age, need, and a shot at happiness in the years to come. OK, what works for me may not work for you, but we are all different people here. I'll keep hoping to find what I'm looking for.

Actually... I'm not "looking" for a relationship. I've stated so in my profile and I mean it.
However.... Should I happen to meet someone, someday who I could spend the rest of my days with, I certainly wouldn't pass up a chance to have a new best friend.
For now, I'm quite happy with my single life. Have been since I turned fifty and gave up on relationships (I never made good choices in men ). I don't even know why I joined DH seven or eight years ago  But, fact of the matter is... I've met so many really good people here, men and women, that I'm not sorry DH is part of my life.

I have been looking for years, sometimes not too hard. I like being single, but find, at times I miss the touching part. And sometimes, the talking part. And sometimes,
the joy of just sitting with someone and not needing to say a thing. Sharing moments.
Thought that I was one who didn't need social contact, but I've gotten more mellow about that. An age thing, maybe. So DH helps fill a need, along with a few good friends in real life and with volunteering at a few places. And some days, it's just nice to go home, lock the door, and listen to quiet music in peace.

Right now I have my daughter to go out to lunch or sit and gab with for a bit if the mood strikes me. Things are just right When she moves back to the northshore or NH I'll probably be looking for someone to go out with on occasion, when I'm not too tired from working

Mother and daughter is a bit different then Father and daughter. My daughter and I do go out for a meal (McDonald's ) or a sub shop . Her interests in music ,shows(TV) ,and other things not there. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Personally I'd like to have a slave. Perhaps one of those from the north of Greece with blond hair and a super fine body Wonder if they are still available?
Bur I regress....any old slave will do provided he knows how to fix all the stuff I break and will plow the vegetable garden and mow the yard and...............there's so much more.............sigh!
What happened to the House Guest? I think he was doing all of those things?????
