I just read the post (below) in Man land....and posted an answer to it on WW.
He says he gets frustrated with overweight women... whom, on top, think they are the greatest. Yes, like to be overweight reduces a woman to less than human.
Well, guy, we get frustrated with men who wear their lunches over their belts, fart in bed, scratch their testicles in front of everybody... We also get frustrated with guys that think they are God's gift to women but need a mirror on the floor to be able to pee.
Additionally, the fact you can't fulfill what you call "laundry list" doesn't mean you can demand she lowers the bar to meet your standards.

Frustration. We get fed up with overweight women that believe they're the greatest thing since the invention of sliced bread. I've yet to meet up with one that wasn't hiding some sort of self-esteem issue associated with the weight. I was married to a head case for 21 years. I've done my time, and don't want to take on another. They want to play pick and choose, let'em.

Most likely she is highly educated and can't stand a guy who doesn't know the difference between the magnesium and the gymnasium.
Answers like morles' mean the guys can't fulfill the woman requirements and it pisses them (men) off...Also, with these answers men are telling the women they should descend to the men' levels of education.

There is a "minor" sorority/fraternity of educated snobs. They think they are smarter/better than everyone because they have a piece of paper. If they gained any intelligence, through education, there should be no need for proof?
Common sense can get you where you want to go as long as you don't stumble over the "dumb as a stump" academic snob, who has a piece of paper, but absolutely no common sense.

It has nothing to do with being condescending but with the approach to things in life, with the resources a person has to understand things...and with how knowledge opens up a person's way of thinking.
I taught Spanish Literature; a subject that facilitates -for instance- the understanding of the different cultures that speak the same language... a subject that provides the resources to help people to understand why the Argentinians behave so differently from the Mexicans, Peruvians...or even from the people in Spain.
Both, my HS and college students, changed their way of thinking about Latin America after reading / analyzing Sor Juana's poems, Martí, Borges y Cortázar...among others.

I dropped out while in 9th grade, got my GED when I turned 18. Have about a year of collage and two tech school 2yr degrees). The grace of God, common sense, a pinch of intelligence and life experiences is all I've got going for me and it might not be on the "grand" scale of what some think education is, but it works for me.
My success in life is NOT based on my education or job title.
And JUST because someone have a high education or job title does NOT make them a better person than me. Even if my grammar is wrong and I can't spell to save my life, we all wipe our butts and all will die on earth.

I found a wonderful lady here and even moved to be with her. The reason I'm not with her today is all on me. I was not able to break the family ties and move on .
She was / is a lady and deserved more then I was able to give her.Had it not have been for my family problems back home I would still be with her.
