We are looking for someone who appreciates us. Who doesn't take us for granted. Who is capable of helping out. Who isn't interested in taking us for what we have. Who doesn't want us to become an unpaid maid. Who is still walking, talking, driving, sexually active (but not too active), etc. Who doesn't need a nurse. Who will take us out (and pay for it) once in a while. Who is not looking for some 35 year old on Date-Hookup.com. And because I am a business person, I would want to run a Credit Check on them.

When you are short in height you tend not to bump you head on cabinet doors, etc. but seems you are always dodging elbows. LOL. Short can be fun but I don't think I would be comfortable with someone who could eat a bowl of beans while using the top of my head as the table. Most of my friends are much taller than I but have not dated a much taller guy.
Is it just my perspective or have I noticed through life that the giggly, batting eyes, and OH I'm so fragile personality is what the guys fall for?

Most of my beaus have been pretty big guys...six feet and over....just happened that way cause if a guy is five foot he's taller than I.
It is not just your perspective....that's the way guys like girls but you forgot to mention dumb
Never could be that way myself, never could understand why that criteria should be attractive. I do know that guys have an inborn urge to be protective and want to do things for women.
Or maybe they just want to be the BOSS!

Interesting you should say that ....
There are "some" not all, men that do just that ...... then down the road you hear them moan and grown because she took him for all he was worth. And they wonder ....... how did that happen? Because they were not thinkin' with the brain between their ears.
They get an ego boost from opening a jar for someone that bats her eyes instead of realizing just how valuable they are at helping a woman deal with or make it through things like helping elderly parents, the heartache of a wayward child, to just stand by her, and not have to fix anything, to offer a shoulder, some kindness on a bad day. Hell I can get the freakin' jar open if I have to break that dang thang ....... but to hold me and believe in me during hard times ... is priceless and take a hell of a lot more man then brawn's can EVER up to.
But yes, sometimes I do have problems opening a jar, making decisions about the truck or bike ....... thank God I have a Son that is savvy in those things and a brother-in-law (sisters husband) that is savvy in other things that most men are good at.
Sorry if I might have stepped on any toes. But give me a man that believes in me, stands by me and can guide me when need be with love, a partner, appreciates all aspects of me the woman, the child, the lady, the mom, the sister and can understand the negative sides of me and how I wish there were none and most of all care, REALLY cares to know my heart.
I may not be the sweet young thang that "tries" to get you to like me for all the wrong reasons. Those things fade ...... women are deeper than that and well worth the journey to the man that gets it.
jmho ~ I guess I finally answered this.

ooohh, and girly side ... it depends on how one might define it, I have that side too, just not everyone sees it. I was a tomboy growing up and some of that girly stuff makes me nervous.

On the topic of height ........ makes no difference to me. Ex as an inch shorter than me and I had a few dates with a guy 6'6", seriously; I was standing next to him and he was looking out in a crowd for me and I was standing next to him. We were at a fair and you know how you kind of wander. We walked down the aisle and people would turn and stare at him. Because he wasn't just tall he was big like linebacker big not fat big.

Ex was 6'3. Anyone for neck aches kissing? The neighborhood plumber has to be close to 7'. I noticed when he came last time to fix the sink, he ducked to go in the door on the farmhouse. I asked how tall he is and he said he didnt know. Oh well.
My Joe is exactly what I want. He comes and visits,holds me tight, gives me a routine of cooking and cleaning, helps me with projects and then.....GOES HOME!!! So I can go back to my routine of NOT cleaning and cooking and having a routine. Singlehood does have it's perks.

Nuttin wrong with cars, RC planes, and gearhead buddies..... 
My favorites as well.....plus my adorable grand kids.....
This year, I switched from gas to electric engines in my planes.....
quieter and no spills and no fumes..... my asthma doesn't like the exhaust.....
Joe is lucky..... gal pal I had wasn't happy not getting 100% of my attention.....
so, Bubba got sh*t-canned....... 
That be the key to my dating attitude.....

hey bub, my dad use to have radio controlled planes, BIG ones... use to love going with him to watch them fly. Whoever she was missed out on some good fun.
we build slot cars too an use to take them to indoor tracks to race, an fishing! I loved hanging with my dad, he did some cool stuff man!

We used to use the splitter bro in law built. It was an Ibeam. We asked him wth he thought we planned to slit..Sequoias? Thing had a 5 foot throw and weighed as much as a truck! The one I bought after he took his can stand on end. Nice. So no need to hoist a monster log up..just stand over it and roll into place to split. This year the hunters bough split wood so told tenant to move it down by his shed and use and store down there. It does take out frustrations tho to swing a spitting maul. Altho creates frustration when it just goes THUD and sticks into a crotch log. GRRRRRR!!! "you damned piece of crap..I am going to burn you!!! Uh...that IS what I DO want to do..if I could split you small enough TO burn." sigh..........Joe is into building those RC planes now. He finds the plans on line and makes them out of foam. I see them as a miracle and can hear Orville and Wilbur rolling over in their graves. ALL the work they went to and now....! I have been in need of ducking occasionally tho..lol. I like to see the swallows go huh? And then follow the plane...guess we are supposed to go this way..must be after bugs.

"I saw this elderly gentleman dining by himself, with an old picture of a lady in front of him. I though maybe I could brighten his day by talking to him.
As I had assumed, she was his wife. But I didn’t expect such an interesting story. They met when they were both 17. They dated briefly, then lost contact when he went to war and her family moved. But he said he thought about her the entire war. After his return, he decided to look for her. He searched for her for 10 years and never dated anyone. People told him he was crazy, to which he replied “I am. Crazy in love”. On a trip to California, he went to a barber shop. He told the barber how he had been searching for a girl for ten years. The barber went to his phone and called his daughter in. It was her! She had also been searching for him and never dated either.
He proposed immediately and they were married for 55 years before her death 5 years ago. He still celebrates her birthday and their anniversary. He takes her picture with him everywhere and kisses her goodnight.
