Same way on pricing stuff. Why hide the price? I am not going to bother if I have to ask. Makes me think they either want a crazy price, or too lazy to price. Or, like you said..see how much they think you will pay compared to next guy. Like stores. Do they think if I ask to see the price on that necklace and it is too much, I will buy it anyway because I bothered the clerk?
Star...the main thing is to do a title search. There could be a mortgage or lien on the house. Or maybe some deed restriction, code violation never fixed. Some pending suit on land or settlement. Maybe co-ownership not informed of sale.

Star, listen to Orz. A title search is very easy to do. The deed, mortgage, etc. is public record and the clerks at the courthouse will gladly help you with the research (at least they do here). Everything related to the property will be on file as well as any other record connected to the property, etc. One thing to be very careful of is to check to see if the property taxes have been paid. If not, those probably have been sold via the sheriff's office and whomever bought them are racking up a huge pile of interest, plus attorney fee's, etc. and all this comes off the top of the sale. Just insure that this isn't outstanding debt that the owner is trying to hide. Also, it is important to have an inspection of the structure. If a fairly new house be sure there are no builders leins on it for materials the contractor used but didn't pay for such as plumbing, windows, etc. Any leins will also be on file at the courthouse in the deed department.

I went to Giant Eagle the other day.

Package of ground beef was $4.71 reduced to $3.14.

Grapes were $1.99 lb. bought 1.07 lbs, $2.13.

Total $5.27, gave cashier my 2 store coupons.

My total cost out the door was a whooping $.27.

One coupon was $3.00 off meat and a $2.00

coupon off produce.

I always say most important on houses is solid foundation, good roof with strong attic, good well and good septic. Decent wiring helps too. Rest is cosmetic.
I just ordered a second rhinestone embellishment from ebay. The first one is gorgeous and glass stones. I paid 3 for it and 1.30 shipping. I know it would sell in fabric stores etc for 14-35. I hate markup!

OK Miz Orz, MC, Bub, and Star...........I need a nail gun for small jobs such as baseboard, door frames, and thin pieces of material. What size do I need and should it be an air gun?

I've never used a nail gun.
I cringe when I hear the words small, and thin - All I can picture is a big hole after your done! -
-
Edit to say
That's usually where a picture frame goes (after your done) -

See above! The difficulty with a nail gun is first..power source. Compressor or cord. Then setting it to surface. Too soft wood and nail is buried. Not enough power and half in. I know the neighbor who uses one only will do roofing if new sheathing. He tried on mine a couple of times and went to hammer. He says that is what screws up roofs. Pros who wont use hammers and they punch through some shingles and leave heads poking up on others. So in a couple of years leaks.
I over paid for a plastic batter bowl I ordered off eBay..$11. But, when I looked at Walmart..like usual THIS store DIDNT have them. And made pancakes the other am. Works great to pour perfect sizes and way better than all my ladles!
And Madison Ave can be happy. I actually bought a new kitchen pot!
