I my cast iron. But I hate that I have a glass stove top. I wish I had gas as my pans aren't as evenly flat as I would like. Plus, I have one maybe two that has the bottom lip and that don't cut it.

Never heard of doing pizza like that. I don't buy frozen pizzas but I'm sure I could give it a try. I like crunchy crust.

Cooking today ....... I'm sure I will at some point not sure what as of yet.

Fishy....these are the frozen curly fries. I have never never made those. I would not know how to curl them.

I use my black iron Dutch Oven ....even has a handle....for fish frying. It is great for a pot roast as well. I love cooking with my old fashion iron skillets. Use the small 8 inch for cornbread.

Yes....these food threads keep me hungry.

Nope, no soggy bottom. Trial and error. Your low heat might be different than mine.

If your bottom is soggy, let it cook longer.

Sharsea I also have a dutch oven skillet for when I fry chicken of fish but any more since it's just me I have not cooked that in it for a very long time. And I never make cornbread in anything else. I have cast iron that belonged to my Mom and maybe my grandmother.

edited: .... I've been craving potato salad so I put some potatoes on to cook and took some chicken out to thaw.

Just to add my 99 cents...

just put a few drops of olive oil into the pan and spread and that should be enough to brown the pizza bottom, forget water no flavor esp if you reheat the pizza takeout leftovers ( never use microwave) then add the lid only after the oil gets hot and plce pizza is in...

I own a cast iron enamel pot and lid and skillet and it works with glass tops, electric tops , induction and gas...if you buy frozen pizza it works this way too...if you make your own pizza dough use the oven and buy a round pan with holes thruout the pan and at 425° for 15 minutes, ftesh dough longer...the air goes thru holes of the round pan and cooks crust like you want it..i found a no stick 16" pizza pan with holes in aldi for 2.99 a few weeks ago...and pizza in the oven works great even if you buy pizza crust pre made and just add your own "cooked" pizza topping over it with fresh or packaged mozzarella. ..sorp tip for 60s

Skillet cooking is so yummy, but gifted my mom's large pan because it became too heavy for me to lift anymore, ha. Eating leftovers today (clearing out the frig)---usually try not to cook on Sundays or will eat out. It's great seeing some of these postings, stimulating my appetite and with ideas for the week ahead!

Since I had the leftovers for lunch, tonight, using that same one pan fits all needs, it'll be Italian sausage. Brown the sausage first. Water again, 1/2 cup, no damn olive oil, add quartered red potatoes, one quartered medium onion. Covered, medium heat for an hour. Glass of red while you wait. After which, thicken the broth with corn starch, making a gravy. Add two diced green peppers, cover for another five minutes on low, during which, have another glass of red.

Done deal. One pan cooking. Keep it simple.

I made sausage gravy today. Very easy, very good.

One pound sausage

1/4 cup flour

Two cups milk

Salt & pepper to taste

Biscuits

Crumble and cook sausage in large skillet over medium heat until browned.

Stir in flour until dissolved.

Gradually stir in milk.

Cook gravy until thick and bubbly.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve over hot biscuits.

Took out some skinless boneless chicken breast. Sauce is simmering for one dish, rest of sauce will be frozen for another time.

Will bake some of the chicken to have for quick meals or lunches. Maybe some Cordon bleu? Love making stuff ahead

Good thing this is a short month. Still have a few things in the freezer, but the end of the month can't get here soon enough.

(Note to self) Buy more next month, you big dummy!

It's too soon to be soup or chili, time of the month.

But, it is what it is. Hamburger surprise isn't much of a surprise anymore, when I know what it is.

No bacon, but I do have a steak or two. Steak and eggs tonight?

Something to ponder.

Crab, shrimp and Chinese veggies out of the freezer. Rice cooking. Mushrooms, garlic, onions, soy sauce and pinch of ginger at the ready. If it sounds like fried rice and looks like fried rice, it must be fried rice.

I frequently visit the grocery by the Air Force Base, always offering ready-cooked meals, and picked up a large bucket of chicken wings (deliciously tender when steamed in my tamale pot) --along with a loaf of garlic bread (ready for the oven in its package). I'm in the mood for iced tea and will add a tossed salad with a mandarin orange.
