There's a rumor going around that boys are tougher than girls. Oh please...

Can you carry a 6lb+ baby in your stomach for 9 months and survive hours of labor?
Can you cook, clean, and talk on the phone all at the same time?
Can you bleed for a week and not die?
Can you walk in 5 inch heels?
Can you cry all night then wake up the next day like everything is okay?
Remember guys, women are only helpless till their nail polish dries

am i off topic???

Sunshine & cold today
The man came after dark to work in the garage last night & left around 11:00 pm
I'm hopeing he is near done with his trailer now? But he may have also worked on my shop shelving Need to go & look and be suprised
It was a mess when I left after starting the fire for his heat, His trailer parts in the middle with eveything else that was pulled away from the walls

Not fun when you are afraid to go into the garage after someone else was in it! I will start the new gearhead thread when this one gets a bit farther then. Since I have the men's permission.
I checked the Cali covers...oh hell no! Spend that much I might as well put up a NEW canopy car port! Find good covers. Then run into a bad review. sigh...I might as well just go buy a tarp and throw sheets under it. Why in this day and age when we can shop the blinking WORLD..is finding a cheap, quality item that lasts more than a month so hard!
Joe said he took a good look at those side box pieces. And said they are pretty far gone to fix. He could make new. I said I can just buy the damn things already! If I put a grand into the 49, I think it deserves it after being my loyal truck for 50 YEARS!

Joe suggests that to me. NO! Just buy more to fill and still have no room. He has re-done my bodyshop and loves the building. Wishes he had it. I said my husband built nice for me didnt he. Joe headed home with 49 pieces. Went and took the entire box apart now. He took home one fender, the front of the box and metal to weld stuff. By the time HE gets done, the truck wont FIT survivor class anymore. Will end up restored. lol.

Went down to a shop yesterday to pick up a new old stock front fender for my buddy's 64 Corvair convertible.....

I knew the owner from years ago but was blown away when I walked into the shop.....

In the first stall was a completely restored chassis and driveline for a 64 Impala SS Convertible..... Everything new right down to the bolts..... Driveline: 409 cid with 4 speed..... "She's real fine my 409!"

Then, in the second stall, up on the lift, is a complete, original, untouched 1962 Impala SS 2 door hardtop. Factory 409 car/4 speed car. Had optional black vinyl top on an Ermine white body. Had a rusty "patina" to the paint. A true "survivor" car.

Stuff an old gearheads dreams are made of.....

that sounds like when I bought the trike. The guy had a shop/garage/warehouse. He leads us through to the back where the work space was. And we are walking past restored cars of the 30s. And then there sits a fully restored Indian Chief!! I screeched to a halt! He stopped and my husband and the guy said it if for sale too, $1000. So I am...Harley....chief...Harley...chief...back and forth. Dream bikes... And then I thought..idea of trike is so I can hold it up, so to speak. And that Chief is a big heavy bike and it would be as bad as a 2 wheel Harley. I still wonder if I made the right choice.
Joe called as norm last night and said he was working on the cab end of the box for the 49. Rusted so bad on edge it came off. And when he looked up new, it was straight and not curved like mine. I said as far as I know it always had the little curve to under the wood bed. So I need to try to get pics on line of the original bed section.

A compleat unrestored Indian 1947 Chief Brought $18,000.00 three years ago near my home
it had ben running 40 years ago when last used. All the corme was badly rusted & saddle bags were hard but all the important parts were their. Just before it sold I bought an 1864 Springfield .58 cal. civil war rifle for a $1000.00 and it was ready to shoot Even have won shooting matches with it like cutting playing cards in haff & eggs hanging from a string, so it's in excelent shooting condition.
