But, I am a biker ole lady. I follow him and never b*tch. He knows what he needs and doesnt. It is more of me telling HIM to buy it. What is he saving his money for? He has no kids. My husband used to give me the amount I needed to run the house. The rest he kept, I had no idea how much he had and he spent it as he chose. At a swap meet, I gravitate to the tools. Get ticked when I see womens crap for sale. Like glassware. ARGH!!!! I am old school..man leads and woman follows.
I can tell from his phone calls that he enjoys having someone he can dump on and tell what he has accomplished in a day. He cant do that with his buddies. They dont act suitably impressed.

I'm with you ORZ. I gravitate to the tools also and YEP, argh to the glassware. I visited an estate tag sale (yard sale set up), spent most of my time in the garage. Most tools gone by the time I got there. They had box lots and I saw something interesting back under a table. Had $3 on it. Started to look in the box and quickly closed it because it was full of antique leather and woodworking tools. Stuck it under my arm and went to pay. This guy saw me get it from under the table and wanted to know what it had in it. I said just junk but there is one coffee cup I like. LOL. box didn't have a coffee cup in it.

Lucky gal! I almost bought a molding plane set one year at the Steam show. $100. sigh..and how many mouldings will I make. Came home and decided if it was there next year..buy it. Complete in original box. Not there. Two years later it was...$160. Guess I dont need it. Joe asked why I need more tools. I said not more..just always digging for that one special tool I didnt know I needed. The FIND!

Just had a call from the dealer I'm to get The Truck from, he is going to hang in with me.
I must be paying way to much
Called in to the lawyer 3 weeks ago this coming Monday and the gal said maybe 3 more weeks I could tell then they did not need 3 weeks.
My sisters & I can not do our taxes until they generate us each a tax form of some kind? Likely that goes for my brother as well but he doesn't get money just land and is paying in to the rest. Each is some different but we all 4 start at the same value. just hand it out now and stop just setting on it all.

I've actually been looking at the no water route...
But, that stuff is spendy...
Not sure I can budget the roughly $170 it would take...
and nowdays even the cheap crap is expensive!
i get the best at napa - don't remember which one right now - but was just wondering what suggestions folks might have...

When I sent it back to the builders - they were shocked and said the same thing about the aluminum quality - to the point that they made me a new one for free.

Although I have heard about the deterioration of aluminum radiators..they are in use in tons of cars now. And just try to find a brass one these days. I supposedly ordered one from Weavers. And when I went to pick it up, they said it came in aluminum. So I rejected it. Fortunately Joe had the one he took out of his truck and we were able to fit it to mine.
I know years back, dad ordered aluminum circles made in Japan..cheaper than anyone else. And when he attempted to spin them, one in 4 ripped and tore at a certain point. He said that is was recycled from our metal and had dirt in the smelting. Sent it back and got refunded and said no more Jap crap.
So it is a possibility it was a flawed radiator.
I would think the antifreeze companies have to be aware of this issue.

Went to town and filled gas. 1.99 per gallon. Came home and dropped the plastic. Smart move...snowing to beat the band. I cant figure this gas gauge. The truck and most all cars in the old days...figure every mark is two gallons. This car is weird...OK>..each mark is ONE gallon. So half tank, cant fit 9 gallons to full. Made it to 7.80 and full.

Rain on snow and under and froze. Went to clear canopy carport and saw tracks where Fuzz backed down the hill at 6 am. hmmmmm....He sideswiped the last plastic post on the one side. Ok..meant to fall over in case hit. But, kept backing...sliding? ..down and either sideswiped the baby carport at bottom or dang close. The way the tracks are..I dont see scrapes nor anything next to it HIT..but wonder if he still has a drivers side mirror. He wouldnt have considered shoveling. Tracks dont really look slidey...looks more like he wasnt paying attention. Idiot. When I back down and get out of line..I stop! Pull forward or cut sharp as soon as I back out and see by posts I am over too far.
Portage had a guy run a stop light downtown, hit another car, flipped over and hit a parked car. Now THAT is an accomplishment DOWNTOWN! He was on his way from the courthouse to the jail after sentencing for multiple licenses. LOL.

Question for the gearheads. If looking at new vehicles these days many are 4 cylinders. The motors are 2.0L, 2.4L, an 2.5L. Which is best? Problems that you know of with the smaller motors?

Methinks 4 bangers are OK for around town driving, but seem to work too hard when running 75-80 going down the highway. When spinning that many revs, they lose there MPH efficiency and the V6s do just as well because they are not under "load" at highway speeds. The best, longest lasting 4 bangers have Toyota stampings on them, whatever the CCs.

Toyoto has the top spot for longevity. I dont know on newer 4s but the older ones died when people tried to pound them to work every day on interstate.
Asked Fuzz last night if he lost his mirror backing past the baby carport. And if he was blind or an idiot. He said he had backed out of the canopy so he could lift and poke up the canopy and unload the ice and snow. And then it was slippery. I said he was so far off to the side when he started! Did he not notice the post he knocked over..uhhh no.He said he missed the port. The way the tracks lay I have NO idea how! I said next time just back all the way down and walk back up to clear the canopy. I really have to add more conduit to that floppy disaster invention!
Poor Star.. dealing with the legal system of lets drag things on til hell freezes over so the lawyers can make more. I am waiting to see what transpires on that friend whos case is heard again April 19th. Hell..only been on going for 10 years. I think they are just hoping she will croak and get out of their hair. Love to see their faces tho when she walks in with the ABC news team and camera.
