I can't see it clear enough to determine if it is a GS (Gran Sport) or a Skylark. Skylark has the logo on the back fender and I believe the GS has it on the front fender about a foot or so in front of the door. I am going to say...

1972 Buick Skylark. Reason: There is no chrome strip along the bottom of the window openings and if I recall rightly (and I may not cuz I am gettin old) the GS had chrome along the bottom of the side windows and Skylark did not.

Son briefly had a 72 Skylark with a vicious Buick 455 in it. Fast car.

Mighty nice ride by the way. 3 thumbs up!!!

It is a Skylark GS, 455, nice cam, bored .040 over, making it a 464, High rise intake, heads milled, with headers, and a double pump Holley Carb. Has 26,000 org. miles.

Still working on finding some good chrome. Not to many 1972 GS were made, 72 was the last year for them.

I guess we are about the only ones hanging in the garage these days Star! The guy showed up today and hauled out the 70 Cadi coupe. Sad to see it leave home. Been sitting here for 20 years. Another dream bites the dust. But, have to downsize somewhere and the limo is a better keeper. I hate getting old. But it heads to MN, Bub way and has a chance to be restored. Did good on it...traded a Ranchero for it I paid $80 and sold it for 1200. Worst? I have to pay the damn dentist 1200 for my root canal in Oct.ARGH!!!!Damn medical rip off artists!

yes the tire man has put on the tires on the F20 but I have not done much to it other than fit the rear fenders to it.

the TT projects are mostly setting in waiting Need some motivating factor to smack me

Hopeing to make my self some more space in the next year or so and think that may help the motivating a lot Will start by remodeling my old barn to be useable and may build a new building as well. I really do need space bad my shop is now all cluttered with things from my parents farm.

I need a building 300x900 and still would need room! guy wrote on Cadi. He made it home ok. Put a battery in it and the engine turned over, electric seats and windows work and radio has static. Not bad to sitting for 30-40 years! Good old Cadillac! Will take awhile to get used to the empty yard space. sigh.....

By re-doing my old barn 24x36 with a 14'lean-to I will demolish and make new about 20'
will be a big help but will sill likely like a new one as well like 60x60 could be as little as 40x60 maybe?

Tired..... had to put an alternator in my pickup..... first one lasted 12 years and 139,000 miles. While I was in there, replaced serpentine belt, thermostat and upper radiator hose. Found out why she was running a bit warm. Took upper shield off and the front of the radiator was covered in fuzzy crap. Blew that off with compressed air. Noted that the core is too small(thin) to suit me so I am ordering a double width cored radiator. No more runnin hot. Was going to change water pump while I was in there but for the life of me I couldn't get the fan to loosen up so I could remove it to get the pump out. Another day. I can get a better shot at it when I pull the radiator to replace it.

I like to do some predictive maintenance..... keeps me from sitting on the side of the road..... My Ford pickup is like a good woman. It runs so good and is such a sweetheart, I will shower it with gifts (new parts in the truck's case) to keep it happy and will spoil it as best I can. Got my eye on a good woman, but not sure if'n I want to take a chance. Gettin bashful in my old age.

Just remember..an old gal needs higher priced parts to keep running. lol. I will run turck to get shingles. Need to drive it and circulate the radiator flush stuff. Getting to the time to drain and put anti freeze back in. And soon park for winter. I thought 4 letter words were supposed to be the worst.

Isn't it odd that humans managed to kill hoards of people before they INVENTED guns? I know Joe can work rings around me. Unfortunately he turns roofing into work rather than enjoyable. He helped with tear off. Geeze man...now that the ground is a mess and bits are under the felt and new shingles. You are NOT being paid by the job! Actually...not paid at all..but let that slide...

Yes you will. No doubt about it. It's in the stars that you have to experience the unknowns that's yet to come. Karma wouldn't have it any other way. Ever wonder what you did that was so bad that you're paying for it now? They say what goes around, comes around but it's because as one gets older he/she can't outrun it. LOL.

Bub I have wanted one just like this sence I was a teenager, back then I wanted the hot rod, even found a 27 bucket a 35 ply axel & fiber glass shuroud for a 55 chevy raitiator
and other parts to build it, had them for years but finaly sold them
But today I no longer want the hot rod near like I want the original car and that is exactly what I have found. Never lost sight of owning a 27 roadster though
Working now on my 2nd dream car a 32 chevy

Thirty five years ago maybe more I saw the 1st 32 chevy up close in a relitives garage it needed restored but was just beautiful to me. when that person died I wrote a letter to his wife asking if it would be possible to buy it? I never got a reply even but never forgot how they are.

Quote from laffwimme:
Star, I have a '31 Pontiac rumble seat coupe that is almost identical to a '32 Chevy coupe except the Pontiac is a little larger (longer, wider, taller). They were both GM, even then.

your one lucky feller laff, I'm jellous

Yep, I love that old car....what's left of it. I have destroyed it to build a little hotrod. All the original running gear and suspension is out. Setting it up for a '66 Pontiac 389 with 2-4 barrels and Hilborn type scoop. '57 Ford 9" rear end with 3.00 gears. Turbo 400 out of Buick GS 455. Mustang II front suspension. Coil over rear suspension. It will take me forever, but should be worth it later on.

It was running, driving, steering, stopping, etc when I got it. Fired right up 1st time, every time. Still had the original black paint with double green pinstripes. But I've always wanted a little coupe hotrod, so I've got my work cut out for me.

What are you doing with all the old parts? as they sound quite good?
Would think some one doing original would just love them

I would like them either way but looking at original
good wishes on a great project.

Garage is a small engine shop now. Joe is trying to get my brush hog and rider running again. He took the carb off and home for the second time. Hog runs on poured gas and then stops. All of a sudden I will have tools of destruction all running again.

Not quite sure where this belongs - -

What in hell is going on in the alleged minds of these Detroit engineers that they have changed to M E T R I C nuts and bolts for US made vehicles ? ? ? And W H Y a ONE piece exhaust from the cat back ? ? ?

I remember that crap..the US is too go metric because the rest of the world is. And they tried. And the older people said go to hell. So now we have both. And with so many foreign parts..never know if it is a rusted US or damn metric. And my metric wrench section is not many! And then we have those weird screw heads too. Although I bought a box of deck screws and it INCLUDED the driver head!
I hate welded exhausts. Try to replace that one bad part!

I heard once that they only last so long and then you need to have hips or knees done again. Aren't I a cheerer uppers? I went to move a big circle saw blade and my back started to spaz..so..do I drop it? Drop to knees..or just stop and stand..chose that and it eased up. Not the time of year I need a messed up sore back! Craigs guy wrote..interested in it..call me at...***-***-****. I dont think so...email me what you want to know. Besides jerk..I have a pre-paid cell not a smart phone filled with my bank info.
