It was really bright even on Friday night. It was cloudy last night but I hope it's better tonight.

I love the full-moon, especially when living in the country, the whole sky is brighter away from city lights.

~ I'm so cold, what's up with that??? I'm beginning to think my body has changed in some way, I'm so cold and it isn't THAT cold temperature wise. I mean I am bundling up as a southern bundles and I feel like I should bundle up like a northerner, or somethin'. Maybe my blood has gotten thinner???

Anyone else????

I drop the thermostat temp for the night. Wake one morning to 68 degrees and it feels chilled. The next it's 67 in the house and feels warm. What's up with that? Depends on what it looks like outside. Even seems warmer with a bright sun rising. I tend to laugh every year starting in October because you can tell how long the Hispanic has been in this area by seeing how heavy his coat is. The locals are still running around in short sleeves and here comes this guy in a heavy jacket. Then, we start with the coats and come a nice day or so in February when the temp hits 40 degrees and we feel like putting on shorts.

Its called acclimation. I am wearing multi layers. And the 60s-70 got a bit warm. The house was 58 when I got up. I dont really want to mess with wood today for first burn so electric heaters it is. Joe and I got the sun enclosure done for kitchen door. I was going to chink barn again yesterday and changed to tightening up the gaps. Hung plastic on steps temp for wind that was sneaking in the arbors. I did get the worst holes filled in rocks on barn wall in goose coop. Damn pigs I had literally ate the chinking lime out between in places. I swear if you want anything destroyed...raise pigs! The main thing was to find the hole through letting rain seep into the gutter. I think I got that one. If it warms again, do more. If not..oh well..typical farm..next year.

Started the wood furnace outside. Mirror up chimney..yep clean itself. Drag ash and creosote out of base. Turned up thermo and turned power on on furnace. hmmmm..no combustion blower. Wack..nada. Go in house and turn thermo up and down. Outside..nada. Fine WHAM! Slam door and bingo. Stuck brushes or bearings and we are good to go. Put small fire on and wait in house to hit temp. AND there goes the blower!! More wood and house warmed up and now I can wear only one layer inside. lol.
Off to dentist today. Great time for appointments on the fly. When..this week? Good. Now crossing fingers that he can fill my wisdom tooth AGAIN! We are hanging onto it by hook or crook. When it goes, the single molar next to it will go also. Hit the new Aldis and see about getting a butterball for .99 per pound. If not...punt and see.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone
Plenty to be happy about this year as our nation is still free
And the progressives have ben set back at least 40 years again.
They were put back in the 1920's and again in the late 1940's & early 1950's this last time with Hillary was scary at best, we must teach our children about progressives & communisum. As had hillary got in we would have lost 240 years as a free republic forever and would have never ben able to vote it back ever.

Husband and Wife Christmas Shopping

A couple were in a busy shopping center just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on the mobile.
The wife said " Where are you, you know we have lots to do."
He said "You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?"
Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all
choked up…
"Yes, I do remember that shop." she replied.
"Well I am in the gun shop next door to that."

I just checked out a Henry Repeater on line. 40-44 Cal. gold engraved. Second series of one thousand to be made. Rather strange. You load it by sliding the tab to open the bottom chamber and place the bullets into it. Kind of reminds me of loading a BB rifle. Holds 17 or so. Bad part is that the open bottom leads to dirt. The other bad part is finding ammo and the cost of a buck per bullet! Cost around $3500. Beautiful rifle but seems not too practical. And for value, never can shoot anyway. Maybe a Golden Boy .22 is more sensible. Or a 30-30.
Read comments of loading from top or side on a rifle. That the spring wears out on side. But, all my old 30-30s have never developed any problem.

Ya'll got me curious on all your talk so I went and tried to look up one my guns to see what it's worth. Turns out not that much, at least from what this amateur can tell. About 300-500$ for my Winchester 94 30-30. Not looking to sell it or anything but ya'll got me curious. I've had it since I was about 9 aka '63 (not sure). Got a few others but have not looked them up yet. Can't say I was ever a hunter. I like target shooting, skeet & trap, not any good at it but I still liked to challenge myself or at one time my son but he has since passed me up in skill.

That sounds low for a Win 30-30. I know I wouldnt sell any of mine for that. The one I do want to dump is the Belgian 300 Win.mag. But cant get the price and cant advertise it easily. Needs to be someone who hunts moose, bear, elk, mountain sheep or dinosaurs.

Orz, perhaps it's supply and demand. The market is flooded with our old butts.

Day before yesterday I had some time to spend at my own house and was enjoying it. The phone rang and YEP, another sales call. This one came through the caller ID as Vets. I decided to have some fun with the caller. Answered and he started making his spill about donations for the homeless vet. I acted shocked and asked "how in the world can a veternarian be homeless with all the money they charge?" Shocked the caller more than it did me. He hung up.

I have a couple of six shooters that I'm not interested in selling either but interested in knowing what the value might be.. One is a S&W 41 mag. that I bought new about 35 years ago still in the wooden box it came in. Shot very few times the other is a Colt 38 police special that I inherited from my Grandfather.. I'm guessing was made in the 30's or 40's..

Sankie! that was is PRICELESS!! I get the ones for the sheriffs. I ask them..where are you located. Some town up north or something. uh huh...NO! But!! NO. If I want to give to the cops, I will hand it to them directly. Before you deduct your administrative fees. What gets me is that someone or group of someones, gets a cause in their head. And the next thing is holding stuff and events to make everyone else pay for it. And then they become a cause and then the administration fees start. In Wisconsin, the law is they must give 5% for non profits. In reality across the country, the average is 1% goes to the people it is intended for. Bite me! Same with the homeless standing on the corner. Some make $200-500 a week and when done for the day, get in their nice cars to drive HOME!
As far as charity goes, most people know a neighbor who has it tough. Walk over with a box of food for the holiday. But, too many people are too lazy.

~ It's simple, if I don't recognize the number I don't answer. But those that have a business or are selling things I see where you can't really do that. Unless you just look at it as if they are really interested they will leave a message and you can call them back. It may sound ugly but I'm kind of hard core like that, if they want or need something and it's legit they will leave a message. Period. If they leave a message and it's a sales call or what have you, then I block it. Even when I was calling around for a realtor or a painter I put something in my phone to recognize them and periodically I go through and delete old numbers.

Wish we could have had something like that at the farm. We did have a 4 Wheeler though and use it a lot. Come to think of it, nah, guess we didn't need it the 4 wheeler did what we needed. Plus there were always the kids riding it when not working it.

Good for you !!! I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Must be nice to be rich. Wanna buy me a Romba 980? It only cost as much as a CAR!!

then you could say you traded your jag for one when you buy it miss orz
I sat in a couple that were around 20,000 & this last time they had a new 6 passenger that looked even higher priced but i din't ask as I don't have 5 live friends any more This mule looked to be everything i needed. Now I can load a model T & a tractor & this mule on my trailer for diffent shows

Guess I stick to my golf cart pulling lawn cart. Or tractor now. Or truck. I have cash to blow. And as usual...I can live without SPENDING it. lol

The mules are the new golf cart these days. Can't wait to see them on the golf course.
