I
Fishy, I hope you have a chance at disability if that is what you want. I was
turned down. I tried to apply at age 61. Disability wouldn't take me because I was too
close to retirement age and could get regular social security. My social is less than
disability . I took it at 62 because of my knees. I just work less hours now.

Good morning's coffee is ready. A nice 58° AM and high today 78°…perfect temp for
me. Certainly enjoying the extra rest it tricks my body into hibernate time and I am sleeping better.

Fish...unless it has changed, you have to be on Social Security Disability for two years before you can obtain Medicare. Also, they have their own doctors you are sent to for verification of each illness. Expect to be turned down the first time but then refile immeditely. It is a hassle but worth it in the long run getting through all the red tape. GOOD LUCK!

Lazed around yesterday as a couch potato snoozing through boring movies on Show Time. They have free weekend movies and I certainly would not pay for the crap shown.

Happy Sunday to all and hope everyone in the stormy heavy rain areas survive without damages to their property. Be Safe!

Not grouchy yet this morning. Hey, I can smile because the sun is breaking through the clouds. Been 5 days since it has brightened the day. So, that is the calm before the storm with the hurricane pushing more rain across S. Carolina and then it will edge northward, right across KY. Oh well, they did drain my favorite fishing hole this summer to do some maintenance so this should get water back in and perhaps by spring it will be ready for fishing.

At the gas station today, some chick with broken English comes up to me and says, "Excuse me, Im not asking for money but I have a gas can and wondering if you can fill it for me"

I said, that was asking for money. She says "no I have a gas can"

I said, wait a minute, you want ME to put gas in YOUR gas can thats going to cost ME money?? Thats the same thing as asking for money and Im lucky if I can fill my tank up.

She apologized for bothering me... I told her, Nice try!
course then I kept my eye on her in case she was a wacko and going to shoot me.. People just never cease to amaze me. Not asking for money my ass.. geesh!!

seriously, if she didnt have gas money she shouldnt have been out til she got some.

That asking for gas money is a scam. A young came up to my door a few years back. She asked for gas money ' because her boyfriends car ran of gas and the had no money'. The
thing is , I saw him park up the street . She got the gas can out of the trunk.
When I told her no and slammed the front door in her face ,
she went back to the car and he drove away with screeching tires!

Worrying my a** off again...

Had a fantastically great weekend with my boys...
They helped me to roof coat the whole house...
We took down parts of the willow tree on the island and took a 20 foot plus tall pine tree down also...they also bucked them up and hauled the wood up onto the deck for me...
They laughed so hard about the fact that all of the wood cutting was done with my weedeater!!!

Sunday morning I was taking a shower and noticed that I was all of a sudden standing in water!!! Turns out my septic tank must be filled!!!

The boys and I were able to dig the holes down to both of the access hatches and the first hole has already filled about half way with fluid and the second hatch was dry but after a couple of hours I noticed it has started to fill up with liquid too...

This is gonna be a fun one to deal with...
A broke as hell disabled guy with no credit and a setic tank that needs to be pumped!

Life in the fast lane!!!

Sounds like some pretty legit grouches on here right now.
Shar, droopy drawers? Laughing because that's the style here in this house also. The one thing that helped me put it back on was Ensure Plus. Not advertising for them but it did increase my appetite.

Fishy, being hit up at the gas pump is all over the place. One young guy tried that on me in a Lowe's parking lot which was next door to a Walmart and gas station. Said he had run out of gas. I pointed to the Walmart gas pumps and told him I thought they sold it over there. He said "well, I don't have a gas can". I pointed at Walmart store and said "I think you can find one there". He just huffed a bit and walked off. Darn Bums.

Sheza, sure feeling for the people in S. Carolina with all the flooding. Stay safe and watch for the crazies on the wet roads.

OOPS, meant to say that of all the problems sounds like Gothy is --- deep in them with the septic problems.

Make an out house and dump in lime or stuff that breaks waste down in septic tanks. Let the grey water run on the ground for vegetation. Might buy you some time for the pumping guys.

Yes...everybody has a grouchy sometimes.

I lived with an outhouse for two years in washington!
Ours had curtains and lighting and a magazine rack!
Our padded seat we carried out in the winter so it was warm when we got out to it!

Used our ashes from the woodstoves to "flush"...

It's gonna take 400 bucks to get it pumped...
I already have most of the two access hatches uncovered and one of the outfits charge 20 an hour to do the digging and figured it would only take about 20 minutes more to finish the digging...

Just have to figure out where I keep 400+ dollars that I don't have!!!

A few more shovel fulls have been moved...i also took a hose and used it to syphon the fluid out of the two access holes...one worked perfectly, the other is going to take me paying attention...

anyway, it's not as bad as i thought it would be...

Good luck with your project, Goo goo.

My coffee is finished, second snooze finished and chow next in line.
A trip to the surgeon to see if I am ready for my second doctor to start torturing me....

Time to start my day and trying to wash and dry my own hair. Was getting spoiled letting the beauty shop do it for me.

Have to look nice and actually go out for dinner this evening. This will be a nice change of scenery.

thanks...

another 10 or so shovel fulls this morning
and working on getting the water out of the second hole...
have almost figured out where the hatches are and am narrowing the digging cirles - or expanding them i should say...

probably won't be able to swing the pumping charge until next month anyway so i have plenty of time to get the holes dug...

in the meantime - peeing out in the yard as usual...
and a bucket and a hole in the yard for the rest...

Soooo..the drought is over for you? lol. It cost 120 to pump here. But, guy quit. Said the DNR has made it so hell, he wont do it anymore. So what will happen...night time pumping by owners. Jerks! Everyone needs a 1000 gallon tank. People with cottages used a few times a year. Damn near Russia is more like it.
Got into dentist by 10am. And find out that tooth is dead. So he nipped off piece I babied all weekend, filled, ground and hold til a root canal in Nov. So 1200 in Oct and 1200 in Nov. I said could I just buy you a new Lexus? And then I am on the roof in PM..cell rings..due to pricey can I come in and prepay? #%&(^&^#%^%^ Said I have been with him since he started in 89 and I pay cash. She said..so pay cash then. YES! What if I canceled? I know he has been shafted but I am not making a trip into town to give him my cash 2 weeks ahead. The gall!

mine is a 1200 gallon concrete tank...
2 chambers...

out here they are sized based on the number of bedrooms you are going to have in the home...

the only thing about the drought that i am enjoying is the warm weather...
still babying the well and only watering enough to keep stuff alive now...

except the citrus - i am making sure it has enough water because they are fruiting now and need it...

i had such a really great weekend with my sons despite the septic problem...
having my roof recoated and hopefully a little more waterproof again now!? is extremely comforting...it's been over 4 years since i was able to afford it and the last time it rained a few weeks ago, i found even more leaks than last season!!!

i can't handle this exciting high speed life i am leading!!!

My ex went for more chemo today. It was supposed to be for liver cancer as he has a spot
on what is left of that. Now they also found a small spot in his lungs. The doctor
gave him a year to live without the chemo and a chance for three or more with it.

Shar, good for you to get out. Also, good for you to use the arm even if for washing and drying you own hair.

Gothy, as far as being broke. Well.....join the club there's plenty that can keep you company. That statement doesn't put bucks in your bank account but "been there, done that".

For what it's worth I was thinking the other day that if I was to need extra money I'd probably try a boarding kennel for dogs and/or cats and on a small scale. People pay big bucks to have someone care for their pet while they are on vacation. Around here the cheapest is $14 a night and goes up from there. Some places are over $20 per night, per animal. Have no idea what the laws are that govern this in your area, but evidently they must be lax around here because we have 4 kennels, two vets offices that do overnight boarding and we're not a large city. Go figure. Some spend more money on their pets than they do their children.

Good morning....sorry for the troubles some are facing..know time can be difficult with problems.

Sankie, my long time friend and ex neighbor has two elderly dogs. Her vet bill and special foods for them is enormous. Some ask me why I do not have a pet. I am allergic to animal dander and suffer with it if I am around cats especially. Yet with the cost of care for vets are way too high for most seniors now days to own a pet.

I have to see my doctor again next week. He didn't like a couple of spots around the inicison area and started me on an antibiotics in hopes of clearing it up instead of trying a drainage area.
He is going to send my medical transcript on to the oncologist to get the consult and examine appointment in the process.

Enjoyed the dinner out last night. Gee...any social life outside of a medical facility is a big plus.

Grouching because there's some sick person in this town that thinks he is funny. The staff at the Eastern Kentucky Campus found a note written in very large letters on a bathroom wall in one of the dining halls of the campus. It read "will kill everyone by Oct 8". They closed the universtity yesterday at noon and will remain closed until next Wednesday. Even taking the football game for Saturday out of town to another college field.

This is the second note found on campus since Christmas.

Its really getting sickening to see this every few days. Sorry but, if cops see the shooter in action, take them out, no judge, no jury just GONE get rid of the lice thats infecting the place!

The school shootings are out of hand and yesterday two more. With the note on the bathroom wall here at the Eastery Ky University and the latest, is there a social media somewhere that has a group of sickies that are scheduling this? Even after the closing of the University this week there was a huge fight near campus (where the college kids live). One guy stabbed and another shot. Flew one out to the big hospital. Said at least 20 were involved. Is this related? Now if I'd been the one who was injured after the gang gathered I'd have pointed at the other fellow and claimed it was him making the threats and I was in self defense.

Thing that we are way behind on these days is that it's been way too long for a public hanging on the courthouse lawn.

We had the septic for the farm house open one winter. And during it the sand side caved in. Now what...pumper said no way..take out pump. So hubby stood atop with bucket on chain and I put on gum boots. We pumped water out onto paddock. And I shoveled sand into bucket. So joked that year for vacation, I got all the way to the bottom of my septic.
Grouch is...dental insurance. Just read up on some..first..my dentist not in them. Second...pay $40 per month and have to pay 20-50% for anything. And then they only pay a maximum of stuff to $1000 each year. So pay $480 a year to pay 600 of a root canal. And if anything is done..be out of insurance paying for it after a couple things. Boy..what a deal. BITE ME!

It was a football Saturday for me yesterday. LSU and the SC game to hear the LSU play the SC's team victory song. Turned out well for them with only a week's practice. The camera did zoom across to get a view from a distance. My niece won a band scholar ship and is getting to play her first year at LSU. She plays a trumpet...very talented young lady.

May you all have a restful day and enjoy life.

No grouching here today. Just sent my grandson home with a gynormis care package. I found out that he has not been eating properly of late and has lost a boat load of weight as a result. Gotta fatten up the boy just a tad. Went from 260 down to 188 in less than 6 months. He appreciates it much more than my grand daughter did. Been having him and his girlfriend over for supper lately too. They have struck out on their own and he will make sure she has food to the point of him not eating.

I'm upright, coffee down the hatch and so far no grouches. Fingers crossed that it will stay this way.

One of those days I wanted to goof off and do nothing but no such luck.
Another trip downtown west to the surgeons office in hopes of being healed enough to be released. Seems the healing process has taken a long time this go around.

A cloudy gloomy day with high humidity. It has been a dry fall with plenty of yellow rag weed blooming. A good rain could help rid the air of the pollen. I am highly allergic to rag weed and try to stay indoors.

Hang in there good people! Enjoy life!

Is everyone enjoying these chilly mornings?
It has turned me into a hibernating I'mmama bear.
I like it so I am not complaining.

Where has our MS Gayle disappeared? Pray she is doing well.
This goes for all our friendly DH'ers.
